Timothy Kim60 said:Wait, that price seems way too low for an NVIDIA GTX 760—is there some kind of discount going on?

EDIT - or am I misreading this and it's actually an NVIDIA GTX 660?

Nope, definitely an NVIDIA GTX 760. And the "discount" is basically just: "Hey, if you buy our servers and storage, we'll throw this in."😬

So, is that price actually decent for the performance you're getting? It feels a little off compared to what I expected. 😁

Alright, here’s what I’ve got on the table.

Asus GTX660-DC2OCPH-2GD5 - $406
Palit GTX660 2GB OC - $363
Asus GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 -$533

Larry Ortiz5 said:They’ve got a GTX 660 at Micro Center for $503, but if you can swing it, go for the MSI GTX 760 760 priced at $653. Since it's an MSI card, you get a solid 3-year warranty, and it actually pulls about 50W less power than the older model. If you can afford the jump, I'd say go for it... plus, the cooler on that thing is top-tier. 👍

Alright, the 760 looks pretty decent. Now I just need to pull some strings with my business contacts to see if I can snag a discount. I'll let you guys know what they say once I hear back. 😬

Hey everyone, what’s the word? My POV 570 GTX finally kicked the bucket and is headed for the scrap heap. I need a replacement.
- It has to be Nvidia.
- Current setup: 16 GB OCZ RAM / Windows 8 / Antec Quattro 850W / Intel Core i5 2500k
- Mostly playing FPS and 3D titles (Battlefield 3, DayZ, Dishonored) at 1080p. For anything else, I just hop on my console.

Looking to hit up Best Buy with a budget of around $500. Thanks!

p.s. if there's something significantly better for a guy like $67 that fits the budget, let me know.

Look, there’s already a specific thread for appealing warnings, and that doesn't apply to everyone else's moderation actions. I didn't issue you a warning, but I have to say, it’s pretty funny when people start whining, "Oh, I got flagged, but Mirko didn't!"😁

Nicole Ruiz said:Well, I'm playing dumb because the other side is playing dumb too (you really should read this entire thread from the very beginning).

That is the whole reason for this massive uproar! And I truly believe you’re seeing the exact same things I am (+that section of the Forum I can't access, which I suspect would provide the "big picture" perspective).

Why do you think the administration is just ignoring this topic and the whole discussion? (I mean, you know... I assume there's a private debate happening in the moderator section)

Do you actually have any idea what it is I really want and am searching for?

There isn't any debate—mostly because this is so trivial that nobody cares about it except for the US mods.

The owner made it clear he doesn't want sex Advertisements or anything else that comes bundled with them. Because of that, we’re working things out on the US side regarding what we allow and how, and the general consensus is that most of those ads should just be deleted.

Feel free to lock this thread. Thanks.

Nicole Ruiz said:But on what grounds exactly?

On the grounds that the moderator decided—rightfully so—that you're looking for a girl for a threesome, and those kinds of ads don't belong on the US Forum.

And besides that, why are we playing dumb? You know exactly what you're doing. If these types of posts aren't allowed, they aren't allowed—so what's there to argue about?

How fascinating. ☕

The Advertisement was identical to the X times I've posted it before without any issues whatsoever! Then suddenly, you "find a reason" to come after me elsewhere and—bam—"now I finally have an excuse." As far as I know, the rules for Advertisements haven't changed at all.
Where does it say that I am looking for sex? 😕

Oh, I'll be "notified," my foot... as if I don't know how you people work. But just so we are clear, I am not giving up. 😉

(Instead of this sneaky obstructionism, maybe it would be better if you just banned me. It would be much easier for you to get rid of me, though it would certainly be more direct, honest, and transparent than what you are doing right now.)

And I find it absolutely hilarious how you lot of virtuous moderators act like the very embodiment of tolerance and understanding... so liberal and full of respect. Well, mark my words, everyone will eventually vote against you in the national referendum, and you'll be standing there feeling all proud of yourselves for being such wonderful, lovely, beautiful, tolerant souls. Just wait until an Advertisement pops up for a gay girl or guy looking for someone similar to hang out with—how will your "love and tolerance" help them post such an Ad on the US Forum to find their pure, natural, and totally, definitely platonic love? But if a girl and a guy are just looking to hang out (without mentioning their sexual orientation), then oh, heavens, that's a sin, it's immoral, it's unnatural perversion, and it deserves condemnation, and they surely don't belong on the US Forum.

I know nothing is going to change, no matter how much I or other forum members try to prove you wrong using actual arguments and logic.

I just want to expose you all for the hypocritical and two-faced ***** you truly are. 🙂

Pusa Alexi 😘

Look, you don't actually have to quit, but just know your Advertisements are going to get nuked. 🙂

Nicole Ruiz said:Kazo Nica said in their last post in the "Is anyone tracking Advertisements in the US?" thread: drop a (PZK) here if nobody reacts for a while.

So, I’m genuinely wondering—if absolutely nobody on the PZK responds, where does one even turn?

You just deal with the consequences of PP Meadow, for example. ☕

graniteridge6 said:I have to admit—this whole debate has actually given me plenty to chew on. 😁

First off, I don't see where the thread starter is equating incest with homosexuality; they were merely drawing a parallel.

Secondly—and this is a big one—I honestly cannot wrap my head around a single valid reason to prohibit a potential marriage between blood relatives who are incapable of having children. At least, as of today, I haven't been able to conjure one up. 😁

Besides, even non-relatives who are aware of a hereditary condition still have the option of using donor-assisted reproduction through IVF (and, mind you, their marriages aren't banned either), so by that very logic, blood relatives should technically have that same path available to them.

Now, obviously, this isn't exactly the kind of topic for the FBI, but I fail to see why it shouldn't be allowed here. 🤔

On Nut forums, we regularly scrub mental gymnastics—stuff like incest vs. gay marriage, shaved privates = liking girls, or adopting kids from gay couples = pedophilia. We clear it out because there’s never been a single instance where the conversation stays logical, instead it just devolves into straight-up insults.

Now, even though I didn't say anything that would violate the site rules, the whole post just vanished. It's not that I'm losing sleep over the missing post, but I'd appreciate a little courtesy from the moderators—just a quick heads-up as to why it was pulled. Just so I know. Cheers to the team.

So, let me get this straight: you wandered into someone else's thread—where they were asking about their missing discussion on Apple products—just so you could ask where your own post went from some random corner of the site?

Fair enough.

mellowgardener9 said:If you guys actually think this kind of conversation is okay—where someone's decency is up for debate and they get called an "idiot" or "retarded"—then honestly, I’d have some serious questions about how you all handle moderation here.

Look, I’m not planning on handing out bans just because a post is labeled as "stupid," nor am I coming for the mods or you personally.

Instead of using "stupid," feel free to swap in whatever word fits better, provided we keep the overall context and the body of work on the topic in mind.

mellowgardener9 said:He didn't say "your take is idiotic and retarded." He straight-up wrote "idiotically retarded."
If you can't see the difference there, I honestly don't know how else to respond to your reaction.

Look, if it wasn't for the fine print—which is pretty obvious in the post—this guy would've been handed a failing grade just like when he was told "You're an idiot" during enrollment. No deep philosophy needed, just a straight dismissal.

mellowgardener9 said:Look, if I'm such an "idiot," the guy could have just sent me a DM instead of calling me out here. 🤷

Why is this kind of talk allowed here, whether it’s "personal" or not?

I mean, isn't the whole point of the thread a personal issue? A moderator should be able to chime in based on their own perspective, yet I don't seem to have that same right. Honestly, a little more democracy wouldn't hurt this Reddit community. 🤷

Let's take things in order.

I specifically asked Michelle Phillips54 to issue warnings for direct insults, and posts that warranted them have been flagged.

Since the post in question explicitly stated that being "idiotically retarded" wasn't directed at you personally, but was instead describing the quality of the discussion itself, there's no need for an insult warning—let alone a gross misconduct one.

I have no intention of flagging "this was written stupidly" versus "you are stupid." That distinction should be obvious; otherwise, we'd end up sterilizing half of this site.

To wrap this up: posts that needed flags have been flagged, and the reasoning behind why someone was or wasn't penalized has been explained. The only post left unflagged is yours—the one where you tried to correct a factual error just to be difficult. It's purely unconstructive and a total provocation, triggered simply because the moderator didn't get banned for a post you thought deserved it.

Fine, I'll fix this "injustice" now, though we can go back and forth on this all day if you want.
Jack Hammer is easy, cheap, and totally fine—honestly, he’s someone you can actually look forward to seeing.

And one more thing... are moderators permitted to submit posts composed entirely of emojis? If they aren't, who should I report them to? 😁

Just reach out to the Supermod handling that PDF.

Gregory Howard71 said:I’m curious about the rules regarding posts consisting entirely of emojis... specifically, is it permissible to post nothing but smiley faces without a single letter? If that isn't against the rules, why isn't there a penalty for it?
If my memory serves me correctly, red cards used to be handed out for that kind of thing. Or am I misremembering? 🙄

Over on Apple, an emoji-only post counts for 10 points, though that doesn't apply to the chat room.

Correct me if I'm tripping.
Quick question—if this is the right thread. What’s the actual cutoff time for customers at the post office? I witnessed a bit of a scene today where a customer and the staff got into a heated argument because an older lady insisted it was already too late to serve anyone, even though they were supposed to stay open until 1:00 PM and it was only 12:40.

Edit: Also, do they take a lunch break on Saturdays or what?

Thanks! 🙂
