I actually think the remake holds its own
it’s more than just decent—it’s genuinely great

🙏

you really have to account for the eras they were made in—1968 was just such a unique, lightning-in-a-bottle kind of year 😁

Yeah, you pretty much hit the nail on the head regarding Phenomenon 👋 🙏

That whole thing about the spiral... 🙂 🙏

Has anyone mentioned this yet?

Ginger Snaps and its two sequels

🙏

So, I read the book... the one they turned into THE GODFATHER... 🙏 ... and man, they deviate quite a bit. For instance, Luca Brasi is basically a cold-blooded killer in the novel—he even burns some newborn baby alive or something—whereas in the movie, he comes across as this kindhearted guy.

The book also has like fifty pages dedicated just to some woman's surgery—honestly, I can't even remember the details anymore. 😳

👋 🙏

It’s a great flick—even though I usually skip the newer stuff, I had to sit this one out and watch it.

That final scene was just phenomenal—the way she finally accepts her fate and just sinks under.

Give me a break.

It’s easily one of the best horror parodies—one of those postmodernist films that uses self-irony perfectly....
It’s practically my favorite movie from the nineties.

Top-tier filmmaking from the new generation.

I've watched it at least 8 times now.

😢

🙏 I bow down to Scream.

I was doing a little reading earlier

Has anyone brought up
the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and its sequels

ps. I don't think Romero's zombies are technically sequels in the literal sense—unless I'm totally off base here.😁 😁
