Football - seeking some clarification in Feedback & Suggestions ·
neonfox12, we aren't going to conduct ourselves this way here. If you truly believe someone is violating the rules, please use the report button. Just because a moderator has something to say to you doesn't mean you're being threatened. Proceed with caution.

Partial bans are always indefinite by nature. While six months is typically the baseline period before one can even begin petitioning for a lift, that doesn't mean a partial ban is automatically set for that specific duration.

Sure, let's be realistic: they had the best engine on the grid back then. Even if Honda produced a power unit today that could go toe-to-toe with Mercedes', Alonso and Button would still be stuck behind every single team currently fighting for podiums. Which essentially means the McLaren chassis itself just isn't up to par, regardless of whatever magic Honda brings to the table.

neonfox65, back when Mercedes had that warp drive, even the underdogs over at Williams were looking way more impressive than McLaren. Honda is a total disaster, but there's definitely more to this mess than just one single issue.

neonfox65, how can you possibly blame Honda right now as if they’re just some engine supplier rather than a full partner in this joint venture? 🤷

Gradojev, you’ve had this partition for about three months now. That is far too late to be asking about deleted posts—nobody is going to perform digital forensics on something from last summer—and it is certainly too early to be requesting a partition wipe.
I am locking this thread, though if Supreme Court Justice Nika has anything further to contribute, she may.

Edit:
For those interested, here are the reliable mods over at Politics...
On the new Living Wall II thread, two of your posts from the 15th were removed, and on the old one, four out of 201 were wiped.
So much for "biased moderation" that supposedly protects your attacks on the banking system.
Can I seriously not get an explanation? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Criticize the ombudsman, criticize Nancy Pelosi—I went ahead and opened a thread just for her at your request. I honestly don't see any issue with doing that.

In your previous post, you were rambling about the percentage of children conceived while the father was under the influence of alcohol, claiming that women intended to conceive while men did not.
In your other post—the one where you were mistakenly awarded too many points, which we corrected after seeing it without you even bothering to appeal, hence why there are two separate warnings since the larger one is rescinded before the smaller one is issued—you talk about a million women being killed by men and 1.6 million criminals. This is nothing short of pure fabrication, and naturally, such behavior will be sanctioned as trolling.
(And this is all regarding a post from the Attorney General, which I assume was posted by someone foolish by mistake.)

Imagine if this nonsense had been published from the office of the Children's Ombudsman; if you took incorrect information suggesting that 1.6 million children in schools experienced some form of violence and concluded that the goal was to create a social climate implying that 1.6 million children are criminals and a million have been murdered.

In any case, I truly see no reason to continue discussing this. However, I should remind you that outbursts like these have led to similar topics being shut down repeatedly in the past. During the last discussion regarding the opening of a topic—which you initiated—several Reddit users requested that instead of banning the thread entirely, we simply remove those who don't know how to engage in civil discourse. Please, tone down the rhetoric.

I’m not the one doing any fixing here; I simply told you what steps you ought to take. Though, I highly doubt there is any legal way for you to just seize someone else's established, active profile...

We don't delete profiles here; doing so would just create a total mess within the thread hierarchies. If you're looking for a complete fresh start, your best bet is to register a new account. Just make sure you log out of this one permanently and reach out to the moderators on the various forums you frequent to let them know it's actually you.
If your goal is simply to change your username, you can head over to the Help subforum and submit a request to have it modified.

It seems you’ve already caught wind from the moderator regarding why the post was taken down, so I suppose we can consider this matter closed.

Calling the President a slut was flagged as a megatrope. Kansas has already racked up three hate speech strikes just this year, and believe me, he’s capable of writing much nastier stuff than simply using that word—though you won't see it here since it's been scrubbed.

I laid out the breakdown of this particular issue in my opening post for this thread. It doesn't particularly please me that certain individuals here disagree with my assessment, but the moderators are well aware of who is being given a pass despite their disruptive influence on the discussion. I could easily pull a few representative posts to illustrate my point, but I find that would be unfair to Kansas; he is already cognizant of his own standing, and my observations regarding the rest of you are irrelevant to him.

In any case, I am closing this discussion. Should Kansas wish to proceed, he knows exactly when and how to request a review of the decision.

Two things... I wasn't the one who handed out the ban to Scott Rodriguez54; that was handled by the Politics moderators. And since the decision has already been finalized according to standard procedure, he can look into appealing for leniency in at least six months.
We aren't going to endure another thread on immigration where people just lash out at the moderators without providing a single link or any actual evidence to back up their claims.

I realize this might come across a certain way, but here is the reality of the situation...
The subforum moderators are actually doing this constantly (every single subforum moderator, specifically within Politics). I don't have the exact count of how many users have been partially banned on hand, but it is certainly dozens. To put things in perspective, the Politics section alone has 3.36 million posts—and that doesn't even include the individual threads or election discussions that eventually get moved to the archives. It is a massive section. Just to give you an idea, there are more posts here than in both Sports and ZK combined. Right now, following the recent surge in activity, there are 273 active users in Politics. That thread regarding immigration opened on September 13th and has already been closed and replaced by a successor thread simply because it hit the technical limit of 10,000 posts.
My point is that moderation is forced to resort to these types of measures when other methods fail to yield results, and there isn't much else that can be done. In fact, during that recent debate about the threats facing men, the users themselves argued that if you can't deal with certain trolls, it's better to just remove them rather than shut down the entire discussion.
As for partial bans, they are primarily used as a tool for long-term members. A newcomer typically receives a permanent ban under these circumstances instead.
I can't get to this right now, but I'll take a look later today (assuming one of the mods doesn't step in before then).
