Immigration discussion in Women's Corner in Feedback & Suggestions ·
David Foster80 Asks:
I would like to formally request that the moderators of this Women's Corner and Complaint address a few inquiries of mine. Is it possible that I have an issue with body odor, or am I simply dealing with some unruly teenager?

Which one exactly?
Forgive my intrusion into this beachside thread, but I can see you're getting worked up. What exactly are the grievances here? One has to keep in mind that Michelle Evans already clarified that we don't moderate ZK; this discussion is strictly focused on the moderation over there.

And does magic create the fastest cars?

neonfox65 said:Increasing engine power is easy enough; anyone can solve that. The real issue is the aero. They should strip back those front and rear wings to something more akin to Formula Ford style, then we might actually see some real racing. Instead of relying on DRS and all these artificial gimmicks to manufacture overtaking, why not just identify the actual root cause and fix the regulations properly?

Did I ever say you were the one calling the shots for the series...?

neonfox65 said:We are discussing open-wheel cars here and how Formula 1 used to be—back when they didn't rely so heavily on wings—and it wouldn't be a bad idea to return to those roots. Aerodynamics have effectively killed overtaking. Now, they have to invent things like DRS or different tire compounds just to manufacture artificial passing opportunities instead of actually addressing the root cause of the problem.

I see. I assumed you were once again offering those tedious praises for American racing in glorified technological buckets. Formula 1 represents the absolute pinnacle of racing technology, and aerodynamics are simply the byproduct of pure engineering. No one is suggesting there aren't negative side effects; we are all aware of them. However, the solution isn't to regress Formula 1 into something resembling the era before Colin Chapman or even today's IndyCar.

neonfox65 said:But there are still overtakes happening—and they’re organic ones, not just some artificial boost from the DRS. 😉

Is overtaking really such a rare phenomenon? Even in series like the NASCAR Cup Series, you see plenty of it. When you're dealing with consumer-grade, budget-friendly technology where almost every car on the grid is built nearly identical, you lack the complex aerodynamics that define top-tier racing. In those scenarios, passing happens naturally. But then again, we aren't talking about Formula 1, are we? We're talking about NASCAR or the Cup Series.
Chaos erupting on the religion forum in Feedback & Suggestions ·
It appears we have the Star Wars situation somewhat under control. While there are still occasional outbursts, no real damage has been done since nobody is biting on the bait. I ask that you please report any spam you encounter so the moderators can scrub it as quickly as possible. I am locking this thread, as this certainly won't be a suitable replacement for the book.

The moderators over at Religion Lock aren't required to own the Book. It’s entirely up to their own discretion and whether they feel it would help them resolve minor disputes more efficiently. If those mechanisms aren't being utilized according to what was agreed upon, I don't see why they couldn't simply shut the whole thing down.

We’re aware, Robert Hernandez3, we’re well aware. We are scrubbing content as quickly as possible, and not just within the Religion section.
But make no mistake, this was pure spam. 😁
I’ve moved this post to where it actually belongs. This thread really should have been locked already; it’s currently triggering a massive troll fest—which was deleted, by the way, so now nobody can make heads or tails of what's going on.
To be perfectly honest, after reading your explanation, I think I finally grasp exactly where you're coming from. However, I felt compelled to step in and address that initial post on principle alone; it was far too inflammatory and triggered such a chaotic backlash and a wave of mass deletions that I simply couldn't let it slide.

I shall take another look at this and decide whether I will restore your explanatory post or simply delete this entire cardboard farce.

Edit:
Not a single one of your posts following that blatant refusal was ever deleted. It is entirely possible you simply overlooked them.
General thoughts on the mods? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Dear Zeus,
Before Kamala Harris, we had Joe Biden in the presidency. Back then, endless numbers of forum users would say all sorts of things about him, calling him anything from a joke to a traitor. Does that somehow make them any less American? Do they love America any less? What does Desert Storm mean to them if they won't show respect to the head of state for whom our veterans fought? How dare you even ask whether someone loves their country? By what metric are we supposed to measure such a thing? Is it by how many times they attended a Thompson concert? Is it by whether they observe national holidays with due dignity? Is it based on whether they served their military duty? Or perhaps whether they donate blood voluntarily? Or simply whether they pay their taxes and thus enable the government to function? Ultimately, maybe it’s measured by how one engages with political opponents and whether they uphold the institution of the presidency, regardless of whether it was Biden or Kamala Harris.

Regarding your other dilemmas: if you believe this forum should only permit expression from those who share your exact views, then you have wandered into the wrong place. Yes, certain things are prohibited if they undermine the culture of dialogue or fundamental civilized values, but what you are proposing wouldn't be a public forum; it would be an echo chamber for like-minded individuals.

In any case, this isn't a topic about the President.
It’s obvious that boundaries here are fluid. This topic is saturated with incredibly ugly rhetoric, making it difficult to draw a definitive line.
Even if she clarified her intent in a subsequent post, the comparison between Kitarovićka and Šešelj in the original quote was quite pointed. It wasn't entirely out of line, though. I went ahead and issued a warning for that specific post along with a few others following it.

Update:
Forum members need to realize that they are the ones primarily shaping the discourse of a thread through their own posts. One cannot selectively demand freedom of speech while simultaneously calling for the defense of certain values, depending on whether the argument aligns with one's own perspective or the opposing side. Such inconsistent behavior makes moderation significantly more difficult, which is precisely what Charles Fox10 mentioned above. Consequently, I am closing this thread; the situation has been addressed, and I have no intention of allowing the inevitable troll fest to take hold.
Why aren't the moderators protecting America and Americans? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
The way complaints regarding the FTC are being handled simply doesn't add up. First off, what happens with moderators on Mexican forums is entirely irrelevant to our situation here.
Secondly, let’s be realistic—moderation isn't perfect anywhere, including here. We all know there are gaps and instances of imbalance, but we are actively working to address them.
If you intend to file a complaint, please be concise: state exactly what the issue is and provide 5 or 6 direct links as evidence.
Furthermore, if you believe there is a specific bias within a particular thread, those links must clearly demonstrate that imbalance.
Where did you come from, Dorian Gray? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Since I’ve been serving as a supermod for the Religion section for quite some time now, I occasionally step in to handle moderation duties. But the real question isn't whether I moderate, but rather when. I typically step up whenever the other mods need an extra hand, when unique circumstances arise, or if I stumble upon an urgent issue while they happen to be unavailable. I won't get into the weeds here, as it really just comes down to the established rapport and mutual understanding between myself and the rest of the mod team.
I would kindly ask that everyone please refrain from the trolling.
