Taking everything into account, Romain Grosjean was excellent, and seeing Haas in such good form is a pleasant surprise. That little guy at Sauber was fantastic, too; honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if his performance today earned him a serious look for a more permanent seat. The dominance shown by Mercedes and Hamilton isn't exactly a shocker, but it is incredibly demotivating to watch. I’m just hoping Vettel can get a decent start tomorrow. Bottas, Stoffel Vandoorne, and Kimi all underperformed, while Jolyon Palmer was frankly embarrassing. As for Lance Stroll, he didn't even fail—he simply performed exactly as expected.

Oh, sure. I suppose he’ll just whisper everything he learned to his crew in the garage, and they'll dutifully take notes on every little detail. 😁
Well, alright, at least he's holding the front row, but we really have to give credit to Bottas for stepping up since he clearly isn't playing at Hamilton's level just yet.
Tibi is merely offering a wry, sarcastic nod toward those sets of flags that seem to swap drivers the moment they find themselves stuck in an uncompetitive car. 😁

Attributing everything to Vettel's balance issues still feels a bit too optimistic, doesn't it? Even Hamilton is claiming the car is significantly better than it was back in Barcelona, which makes him sound quite hopeful as well. In reality, we're essentially flying blind here. At this stage, the only one sounding truly pessimistic is Verstappen.
Max Verstappen and Ricciardo mentioned that certain car modifications didn't quite pan out, and they're now hoping the team can revert everything back to its previous state by tomorrow. I'm honestly not entirely sure if they are referring to the changes made between the pre-season testing and the Australian Grand Prix, or if they mean the adjustments made between FP1 and FP2 here in Los Angeles.
In any case, Hamilton's performance today was a bit of a reality check for those of us who were actually looking forward to an exciting season. I truly hope everyone else was just hardcore sandbagging and that this Australian Grand Prix is completely unrepresentative, because if not, we are in serious trouble.
Damn, I just pulled a grueling 12-hour shift yesterday and had to sleep through the entire night, only to find myself dreaming about Formula 1 before dawn. Then I wake up, and what do I see? Hamilton absolutely crushing it during the first practice session again. :/
There was an opening over at Konkvić, but Ivić beat him to the punch... Then again, if my memory serves me right, there’s still one spot left on the Iceman team, especially since it doesn't look like Rossi is making a comeback.
Beyond just the insults hurled at public figures, I suspect that following last night's wave of coordinated bot attacks from overseas, nicknames containing numbers might actually be restricted now. That was likely where the issue originated.
aaaaaa 🙂🙂 neonfox65, you're thinking about NASCAR, but this is F1. We're talking about machines with vastly different technical configurations here; Friday is absolutely critical. Especially when we're facing the first race following a major regulation change.
We have revisited the topic of male discrimination on several occasions, and every single time—without exception or debate—it inevitably devolves into ugly misogyny. Since these discussions consistently head in that direction despite there being valid points to argue, the moderators of the Politics forum have decided they simply don't want to deal with this type of content anymore. It stands to reason that this thread will likely end up in the trash heap for that very reason.
Now, unknown, I know you recently asked for my thoughts on starting a new thread over at ExxonMobil, and I gave you a tentative "go ahead." Is this that specific topic? If it is, then I am sorry, but looking at the title and the opening post, I can see exactly how this will transform into a disaster within a week or two. I find myself supporting the moderators' decision.
This is a blatant ad hominem attack, and besides, that card was yellow anyway—it doesn't even carry any points. By the way, we have a dedicated thread for discussing cards; there's no need to start a whole new one.
Yeah, it looks great. I honestly think its impact comes from how simple it is. Perhaps it would be wise to add "F1 team" underneath the large "Conquistadores" heading in a smaller font, aligned to the right.
darkmarlin16 is much like Felipe Baby; he's the one constant within the team. They surely managed to stay ahead of Bottas, and even little brighthound8 managed to clear Stroll.
Excellent work, Liverpool, darkmarlin16. 🙏 I actually think this might be my second favorite thing presented so far. 🙏
