Partial credit for political science? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
In any case, we have historically approved partial bans upon request. So, if Keith Miller30 wants to join the ranks of those attempting to use this as a tool for political maneuvering, I see no reason to deny him. Of course, there is the standing caveat: a partial ban is treated with the same weight regardless of how it was obtained. This means a minimum six-month period before any removal can be requested, no discussing the subreddit rules while under a partial ban, and absolutely no badgering us to lift it simply because it was granted on request.

I am currently looking for an admin to get this logged in the system.
Penalties for racial or ethnic slurs in Feedback & Suggestions ·
It seems the user was clearly just agitated and trolling rather than being genuinely abusive. However, given the overall flow and tone of the discussion, the moderator decided the post simply had to go. Honestly, deletion is perhaps the most heavy-handed and frequently overused tool in a moderator's kit. All this drama feels quite unnecessary, doesn't it?
Another request for a political deep dive? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
A routine audit revealed that you were using this identity on the forums back in late February while your primary account was under suspension. So long.
Well, look at that! I completely missed the fact that we already have a dedicated thread for racing. It’s funny, actually—just the other day, while I was sitting through one of those interminable meetings, I found myself thinking that we really ought to get a discussion started on this sooner rather than later. 🙏 🙏

Thousands of hours poured in by our dedicated friends and volunteers have finally culminated in a brand-new livery for the top team in the Reddit F1 championship. I want to extend my gratitude to everyone who contributed—whether it was through brainstorming initial concepts, developing templates, or helping evaluate the final submissions. All that effort truly paid off; we can all take a collective breath and feel proud of a design that exudes such genuine decency, class, and tradition. 🙏 🙏

The championship squad, Bambi and The Molester—entering the new season on the heels of a legendary run where they swept both the driver and constructor titles—will be unveiling a fresh, even more striking crest tomorrow, one deeply rooted in their storied tradition.

With this new look comes the promise of even more victories! 🙏 🙏

BAT Kol and alternative moderation in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Folks, I’m closing this thread.
To be perfectly honest, I stopped following this after the first ten or fifteen posts, and now I feel somewhat responsible seeing that we've already hit 125. Even though we are on a forum—not some mindless Facebook feed—this platform wasn't designed for endless, sprawling debates; it was meant for concise, clear actions and reactions. But fine, mods, admins, the site owner, and the local authorities certainly have enough material now to start contemplating how to resolve this polarized mess.
Why was my post deleted? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Uncle Sam said:If I had gone over to the Politics section and claimed that Republican Party voters are even bigger idiots, I would have been slapped with a ban because that constitutes a direct insult. Since I consider myself part of the "nation," I essentially lumped myself in with them too. You might think my wording was softened, but for a moderator, the specific way you phrased things is incredibly important.

So, much like the usual jokes about border walls, sarcasm regarding small budgets, or any number of other tropes, criticism is perfectly acceptable—even if the tone gets a bit sharper—provided it is directed at oneself. By that logic, surely some American on an American forum writes that their own people are a nation of fools because they are forced to choose between two extremists during an election. We are allowed to label ourselves such when, for instance, we choose a vapid social media influencer over a completely talentless nobody.

In an effort to finally put an end to this endless debating of yours, here is one more analogy: imagine you are playing chess against an American, and after making a terrible move, you call yourself stupid. He does the exact same thing to himself when he blunders. Everything is fine. But if he turns to you and starts calling *you* stupid, a problem arises, and the fact that you already insulted yourself won't make it any better.

I hope you will pack up your little tent and clear out of this thread until a legitimate reason for an appeal actually presents itself.
Klonka, being disrespectful in the Željko Markić thread in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I have gone back and further refined the posts from the original thread. I am not entirely certain why this wasn't handled immediately, but I shall be more vigilant moving forward to ensure such discourse does not go unchecked.

The accusations regarding Klonka are misplaced; she is merely one of nine moderators on Politics. If there were any lapses in responding to reports, she bears just as much responsibility as the other eight.

The winning roster remains unchanged, so I am proudly returning to Disney’s illustrious squad, the reigning team champions of our Reddit F1 2017. Naturally, I trust my esteemed colleague Tyler Bennett5 will remain alongside us in the Disney camp as the current individual champion.

Why are my posts being deleted without explanation? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I truly have nothing left to contribute here. Even the most stubborn weed from the old days gets chewed into mush after just three or four bites, so the reasoning behind deleting posts like these isn't any different.
Help, unknown! in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Well, you answered your own question. You got banned because you refused to follow even the most basic community standards, opting instead to churn out endless burner accounts, hurl threats, and issue those bizarre curses about death and decay.
Just when you think you might convince someone to let you back in, I’d personally be against any attempt to grant you access through official channels.

You probably won't like hearing this, but take my advice and reach out via private message: stop spamming clone accounts, disappear for a year, and then come back with a genuine commitment to changing your ways.
The moderator's blatant chauvinism is shocking in Feedback & Suggestions ·
First off, the initial comment is nothing more than a scientifically baseless remark designed to incite racism. Second, we are witnessing a certain level of self-deprecating irony from a member toward their own organization.

However, that isn't my primary reason for being here. I came because this thread has gathered a sufficient range of perspectives, providing both the moderator and the site owner with ample material should they decide to adjust their moderation policies. In short, the appeal has been formally lodged, and there is no longer any practical need for further debate in this corner of the forum.
Privacy violations and leaking DMs: Is this a crime? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Access to private messages is strictly limited to the individual holding the account credentials. In other words, it is just you and anyone to whom you have personally handed over your passwords.
The only remaining avenue through which message content might be exposed is if the recipient reports a specific message for violating community guidelines. Should that occur, the moderators will then have the authority to review the reported content.

To the group and others, my stance hasn't shifted an inch since our last discussion. Using slurs against Catholic believers is a violation that warrants discipline, and it should be treated as such. It is entirely possible that some instances were overlooked—errors happen—but I am issuing a challenge to you and everyone else here: if you can point out where this offensive terminology is being used to label those of the Catholic faith, I will personally go back through the last 15 days of reported posts and issue bans for every single one.

The other moderators have already covered the specifics in this thread, so I don't see much need for me to repeat myself. To put it briefly, forum participants shouldn't be held to the same standard as public figures. Public figures or organizations aren't synonymous with the communities they represent, or the rights they claim to champion. One must consider the specific context of a debate when judging whether a certain label is justified based on the actors involved.

On behalf of the Politics moderation team, please accept our apologies for any lapses in penalizing insults directed at believers. As I mentioned above, we will be conducting a retrospective review to intervene wherever necessary.
Moderator Bias: Are they picking sides? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
This thread has clearly reached its limit and devolved into nothing more than a petty tug-of-war. I’m absolutely fuming.
What even is trolling? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_troll

Within the lexicon of the American web, a "troll" refers to an individual who deliberately cultivates friction within digital spaces. By injecting inflammatory, irrelevant, or purposefully provocative commentary into online environments—be they social media threads, message boards, or comment sections—these individuals seek to trigger emotional outbursts from others or derail meaningful conversation. For many, this disruption serves no purpose other than their own idle amusement.
Why was the Hasanbegović thread locked? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I believe we have found a reasonable way forward here: the old thread will remain closed—given the endless complications it caused—but we can certainly open a fresh discussion regarding Congressman Hasanbegovic. Given our past experiences and several explicit suggestions made right here in this forum, any attempts to derail the conversation toward WWII or other historical tangents will be strictly discouraged.
