@ Arthur Lewis2 I've been running CCleaner for quite a while now, but I recently "stumbled upon" Advanced SystemCare. Honestly, it’s been a pleasant surprise 🙂 . @ Dana Murphy4 "Stumbled upon," you say? And now you're actually using it...? 🤔
@ Frank Morgan30 Douglas Garcia52 is giving you good advice. You’re going to need an 8.5 GB DVD-R (any idea where I can grab one?) Once you actually get macOS installed, you'll find there's a forum thread for pretty much everything else you want to know.
I'm in total agreement with you and Carl Turner2. There’s really no point trying to explain to others—especially those stuck in the Windows/PC camp—why some people just love Mac and everything Apple stands for. It isn't about the money. Sure, Mac computers might cost a bit more on average than standard PC brands, but that's not the issue here. At the end of the day, everyone knows what works for them. It would be a complete waste of time trying to lecture traditional PC users on why they should switch from an OS where security holes, malware, spyware, and viruses are practically endless. Again, to each their own. They can live with it if they want. P.S. I was using a Mac long before Steve Jobs returned to Apple in 1996. 🙂
To be honest, I can't even remember the last time I stared at a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) on Windows—I wasn't even around for the "glory days" of Windows 95/98. But, this might actually help you out:
Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions - Windows 7 Forums 😉
Which ones? Windows 7, specifically with Service Pack 1, comes with DirectX 11 pre-installed, and here you can check out the full list of supported games.
