Has anyone here dealt with an online payment request that actually asked for a hardware token password?
😕🤷
It’s my first time running into this—not entirely sure if it’s standard procedure or something I should be wary of... and even if it is legitimate, I'm a bit stuck on what to actually enter. Should I be using the password generated after the first app prompt, or the one from the second?

My checking account card works perfectly fine for online shopping. I'm only paying maybe 2. a month for it. I don't really need a 2. VISA, though I figured if it was included in the package, it might be handy to have just in case. That Visa card seemed decent because of the extra insurance coverage... plus, with that active assistant feature $10, the 35 with the checking account makes it feel like $8.25 there isn't much difference compared to the Visa card, which offers quite a bit more...

I've looked into other banks, but I've always been with JPMorgan Chase and I'm used to them; the others don't offer perks that seem as useful. When I add up everything I actually need, it ends up being more expensive anyway.

😳

If you aren't paying bills through it and you don't really need a Mastercard, then it really isn't worth the money...😉

What should my next move be? Online and mobile banking are non-negotiable. I looked into their various tiers and assistants, and here's my takeaway: the basic assistant package is $10, while the premium tier is twice as expensive. However, for that extra $10, the premium version includes a checking account, a no-annual-fee Mastercard, enrollment fees, all those insurance perks, and free transactions. There’s also a perk for home loans, which would be useful in a few years...

So, if I pair the basic assistant with a checking account, it comes to $12, leaving a gap of $8.25. On the other hand, I could just get the Mastercard, which essentially means paying an annual fee through that $8.25 difference... if you catch my drift.

Basically—based on what you've seen, do you think it's worth upgrading?

Thanks in advance. 🙂

It’s probably best to just crunch the numbers on what you actually need... 🤷

The annual fee for the Mastercard is $50 / $4.25 per month
You get 15 free transactions when paying through online banking... otherwise, each transaction runs you $1, or rather $0.67, depending on which bank you're sending money to... if you're paying, say, 10 bills a month, and 5 of them cost $0.33 and 5 cost $2... that brings you to $5.00...
The monthly maintenance fee for the checking account is $1.75...
All told, that comes to $11... plus those $10 for the "premium assistant" service...

Is there any way around manually typing out my IBM every single time I pull up a template for online banking, or am I just stuck doing that forever...?

Goodness gracious, I can barely plan my life two weeks out, let alone six to eight months ahead... unfortunately, I just can't schedule my existence and responsibilities that far in advance—mostly because of work... that's just how things operate here in the US, really; for my egg retrieval, I actually had to request medical leave because I couldn't just walk out of the office mid-shift... ☕

OT: I went to a private clinic for my checkup, and everything is within normal limits (aside from the fibroadenoma I have, which has actually shrunk by 2mm 🤣)... so I don't regret spending the money, but regardless, I am canceling my supplemental health insurance. $520 I certainly won't be hitting those annual coverage limits with doctor visits... ☕

It isn't really about age alone—it’s more about the specific density of the breast tissue...

A healthy diet and a stress-free life... honestly, if you ask me, that sounds a bit utopian.

OT: I was reading that there are varying opinions regarding mammograms—apparently, some people don't even recommend them before age 50.
In my case, I had one at age 40 because my doctor suggested it.
If you ask me—it was completely pointless.
Aside from the fact that it didn't show anything significant (mostly due to my tissue density), it wasn't even useful for, say, "detecting" my fibroadenoma. I ended up having to go in for a biopsy regardless.

Right now, I am in a stage where I am absolutely livid because I'm still waiting six to eight months for a follow-up ultrasound. So, naturally, I have to go through a private clinic and pay out of pocket again.🙂
Why I bother paying for supplemental health insurance—God knows.

The ongoing saga with Wells Fargo continues...

My mortgage was officially paid off on July 25th—well, technically refinanced through another lender.
I called the bank first thing on the morning of the 26th just to double-check everything—they confirmed the funds had landed.
And since then, I’ve just been sitting here waiting:
1. For them to notify my company's payroll department to stop the automatic deductions... which, naturally, hasn't happened yet... 🙄 —and today is payday...☕
2. For the notification regarding the release of the mortgage lien...

☕

Edit: I’m not sure if it’s even worth mentioning, but the notice for the new payment schedule from the other bank has already arrived... so, as things stand, they’re going to pull two separate payments from my paycheck this month... which means I'll likely be stuck waiting about two weeks to get that overpayment refunded...
just my luck... 🙂

They finally sent over that letter of intent on July 6th.☕ Honestly, I doubt they would have even bothered if I hadn't followed up via email myself...
Anyway, the loan is approved, the contracts are notarized, and I just submitted the paperwork to the county recorder's office for the mortgage—filed today, so hopefully everything will be finalized by tomorrow😁... and once the bank wires the funds to Wells Fargo (to pay off the existing debt), I’m genuinely curious how long it will take them to notify my company's payroll department to lift the wage garnishment... ☕ I suspect it's going to be a bit of a wait... our payroll specialist handles everything for about 1,800 employees (give or take a day or two), and she’ll likely still process one more deduction for the installment due on August 31st—btw—which means the money I actually need will just sit in their account while they sort through the bureaucracy... leaving me waiting even longer for a refund... ☕I don't exactly have much faith that this part will go any faster, considering it took them two full weeks just to issue the letter of intent... so who knows what this stage will look like...🙂🙂

It has been exactly two weeks since I submitted my request for a letter of intent—specifically regarding the mortgage discharge statement—because I am in the process of paying off their loan by moving it over to another lender... and yet, they still haven't sent a single thing... In the meantime, I have managed to wrap up every other requirement for the bank where I'm seeking refinancing, including the property appraisal, so I am just sitting here waiting on this one document that should, theoretically, take ten minutes to draft...🙂🙂
Meanwhile, the interest rates are climbing, which is dragging my approval process down an even longer hill... and eventually, my title report will expire, since those are only valid for thirty days... and it just keeps going like that... honestly, you wouldn't believe it...🙂🙂
So, here’s the situation:

1. Results from September 2009:
- Right breast: In the BI-RADS category, almost bordering on the next level, there's an oval zone with hyperechoic echoes—sharply defined against the surrounding tissue—measuring 0.93x0.62 cm (consistent with a fibroadenoma).

2. Results from February 2011:
- On the right side at the 9 o'clock position, there is an oval area of echogenicity similar to fatty tissue, measuring 6.1mm in length.

3. Results from October 2011:
- On the right, between the 12 and 1 o'clock positions, sits an oval, hypoechoic, sharply demarcated lesion, dimensions 8.4x5.2mm; it shows posterior acoustic enhancement, which primarily suggests a fibroadenoma.

Obviously, we are talking about the same person here, so I'm wondering how this works—it feels like I have a little bit of a fibroadenoma one moment, and then I don't... does the BI-RADS classification correspond to these 12 and 1 o'clock positions, or what...?

A bit confused 😕
