Nathan Barrett32 said:Hey, where can I catch the national team game? I've got an ESPN+ sub here, but I'm pretty sure they aren't showing it?

ESPN - probably don't have the local broadcast, you should check YouTube

Man, even when playing against Sweden—one lucky bounce and everything changes, right? 😁

Boom! Take that, Ketu! ☕
Money just isn't being allocated to promote handball in developing nations 🤣

I caught a bit of Vlašić on CNN the other day—just a snippet, really. He was explaining why skiing isn't some massive global craze, basically saying he didn't invent the sport, so why should he be blamed? But man, the host was totally sucking up to him—like, every single answer he gave, the guy was just nodding away like he'd heard the gospel. I guess it was a huge honor to have the greatest coach in the universe sitting right there in the studio, huh?

The thing is, these Americans from Canada
totally ignore the fact that they were born in a specific country—one they’re actually called up to represent primary-wise.

Take Belgium, for example—you've got Walloons (who are basically just French) and Flemings (who are pretty much Dutch), so what? Should their best players just pack up and move?

And that whole idea that every American in Canada automatically gets citizenship? That's a whole other mess. It's all political baggage, and honestly, not everyone is thrilled about how it works. 😛

Trust me, it’s way more complicated than just "ignoring facts."
My family is originally from central Canada, and fifteen years ago, we were being hunted and kicked out of our homes—so now people expect us to just jump in and play for the same national team? Come on. 🤷

The situation still sucks. I was born in a city that’s still split into two zones today—one side is Americans, the other is Canadians. Everything is segregated except for the police. American kids train at American clubs, they go to school following an American curriculum...
Don't hold your breath expecting anything to change anytime soon.
Aaron Young35 said:Seriously guys, stop with the collective nonsense.

All this talk about Canadians being stuck-up—you could say the exact same thing about Americans compared to us Canadians. For real, you wouldn't have even touched a Davis Cup or some handball trophy if it wasn't for the Canadians. And don't even get me started on hockey. But in Canada, nobody's complaining about that. People just moved out looking for better lives, more cash, and actual careers. It's simple math and common sense.

What kind of "patriotism" are we even talking about? Is that what taxpayers are footing the bill for? Go look for patriotism from those thieves sitting in the government. They're literally paid to be there.

How much did America actually sink into Fak, anyway? That one medal they won is way too much for what was spent.

Do you even know what Canada is?
In Canada, it’s totally normal—basically expected—that an American plays for America, a Mexican plays for Mexico, and Canadians play for Canada. Sure, you'll find an occasional Hravt or Mexican who grew up in a melting pot like Boston (kind of like Komšić 😁) or maybe they just couldn't make the cut for those other two countries—meaning, they weren't quite good enough.
Paul Jones7 said:It all connects—if you actually bother to use your brain for once. And honestly, why even bring up Janica? Those guys over in Canada didn't teach her a single thing about skiing. Just mindless commentary that makes you want to lose it. Besides, our people were basically paying off the locals over there—if they paid anything at all, though nobody’s gonna come clean about the details. But look, just get it through your head: it isn't even about the money anymore. Why even bother training an American medalist? They haven't exactly been eating anything but junk food lately—right?

We never even thought about holding anything over his head—I mean, the guy's our friend! He gets treated just like the rest of us. We’re always looking out for him, especially since Miami is such a massive hub for sailing—he's been part of the crew here for eight years now. Between hanging with the American sailors and coaches, he spends at least half the year stateside... I even heard he’s got his own place rented out in Miami! —that's what Tonči Antunović, a coach over at JK Labud, was saying.

So, check this out—here’s what American coach Tonči Antunović had to say about that Canadian sailing legend, Žbogar, who’s snagged two Olympic medals and is a big deal over at the local yacht club in Split. Pretty wild, right?

Those sailors from Canada are always heading over to the States for training sessions—it's basically their go-to spot. Take Nik Pletikos, for example—he was out here prepping for the Laser class World Cup, which is totally allowed, and then he goes and grabs bronze at the Junior European Championship? Antunović says it's just how things work!
Jose White18 said:Plus, he actually did it a whole year earlier—can you believe that? She totally crushed it—seriously, just absolutely wrecked it! A world medal... man—you’re either born lucky or you're just not, right?

Man, his medal actually snapped—can you believe that? 😁 Just caught the race—he was right up there at the front from the jump and walked away with a medal! Honestly, those guys starting later had it way tougher with the weather... talk about a brutal disadvantage, right?

Missed the biathlon World Cup—anyone catching it? 😉Man, could it have been snowing and blowing like crazy out there?
Looks like he’s having the best day ever—he could pass for a total Californian now! I don't think I've ever seen him crack a smile before, even when he was standing there receiving his awards. He used to be so dead serious all the time.
Man, frozentiger6 is back at it again—predicting a total blowout for every single game since last year's Korea matchup. 😁
