Nathan Lewis said:The higher-ups at Real Madrid pull the strings, but they control both the club and the national team.

This isn't just about Real Madrid—it’s a war for the soul of American soccer, and it's being led by one specific group...

It only took a few days of chaos in California for the entire public—the media, the news networks, the idiots, everyone—to take this whole fight against the big bosses and the federation and rebrand it as some mindless North vs. South rivalry.
And honestly, people here couldn't care less about that nonsense, just like you guys.
Where did you all disappear to in the middle of this? You just vanished. Gone. Like thin air. Or water down a drain.
I’m telling you this as just another fan who sees things for what they actually are in this country—so go ahead, keep whining about how bad the Ultras are, or talk about local politics, flares, or stories about how some rival fans will settle the score. Do whatever you want. We all know what's really going on behind the scenes anyway.
I remember being in California years ago, hearing people talk about how the Bad Boys were the real deal—how they owned the streets and kept things honest. If someone had told me fifteen or twenty years ago that we'd be stuck in this position—dealing with a handful of paid mercenaries and some corrupt boss, watching everyone suck up to both sides for decades—I wouldn't have believed it. It's humiliating. And now, after everything, you can't even stand up when the leadership screws you over yet again. After that last absolute disaster, I basically wrote you all off in my mind. People don't even know whether to laugh or feel sorry for you anymore... it's more than just a sports thing; it's pathetic on a human level.
For anyone paying attention, it's been obvious for years that you only have a few options left to make a move, but you haven't had the brains or the guts to do anything real in all this time.

Anyone living in America who’s ever clicked on a single sports news site—you know, those endless rabbit holes of football articles—has definitely run into that one lunatic from Chicago who goes by Kličko. I swear, this guy probably uses a million different handles, just spending his entire life trashing the local teams and acting like a total Bad Boy in every comment section he can find. It’s actually impossible to scroll down even once without bumping into him. At this point, I’m pretty sure everyone knows exactly who we’re talking about...
I mean, look, I couldn't care less about these internet tough guys, but when some pathetic loser writes something like that about the late Salopek in an article discussing how he was a true Bad Boy, it honestly makes them feel worse than any radical extremist out there...

"Salopek was just a collaborator. Honestly, I'm not even sorry they took him out. Just another piece of Democratic trash! Thanks, Dad."
"No mercy for the Bauerovac crowd! They're all just Democratic scum, mercenaries, and junkies. Thanks, Dad."

Chicago isn't Tokyo... Does anyone actually know who this coward is?

I’ve already gone through the script, and honestly, aside from the dark humor—very much in the vein of Metastasis—and the whole core concept of being a die-hard fan, there isn't much realism regarding how the supporter scene actually works.
Basically, the Bad Boys are going to pull off in this movie what they never managed to do in real life back in the city—something every true fan knows—and the film features way more actual street fighting than probably happened at any single game during those big gatherings in the eighties. 🙂

It’s all fine, I guess, though I have this nagging feeling it’s going to turn into some Chuck Norris-style caricature of the Bad Boys 🙂
. If the audience and the fans just take the film for what it is—pure fantasy and fiction—then we're good.
But if people start treating this like some pretentious attempt to rewrite history, then things are going to get messy. 🙂

Plus, I have no clue how the producers even imagined they'd get permission from the rival gangs to film at Yankee Stadium or anywhere else in the city...

This is a massive self-inflicted wound for him. Sure, he might get away with it today, but give it forty-eight hours—once the media pundits realize they’re looking at nothing more than cheap, bottom-of-the-barrel populism, they’ll tear him apart. They’ll dig up everything he used to love saying back in the day just to spite him now. We're talking about those old wartime militia days, all that talk about "brotherhood" with the neighbors, his nostalgic trips down memory lane regarding the glory days of Yugoslavia, and every other sentiment he used to peddle in Belgrade. In two days, right around the big game, the headlines will probably be calling him a war profiteer or some other nonsense...

Look, Brbić and the folks over at Liverpool FC can file all the complaints they want with the US Soccer Federation—it’s the same old song and dance. It’s just like how back in '91, people were protesting the old military establishment about being attacked, or how those folks in the city used to whine to the management at Real Madrid about police harassment and getting barred from the stadium. It’s a cycle.

And then you’ve got this crowd following Mamić—the loudmouths, the mindless followers, the rest of them—constantly crying foul about "provincialism" or complaining that everything bad is coming from down South or from Liverpool FC... honestly, it's exhausting. You've got those local factory workers and shipyard types doing the exact same thing, just constant, pointless noise. Is it "complaining" when things were happening in Vukovar back in '91? Was it "pointless noise" when the US was trying to navigate its place in the world from '91 to '95? Eventually, this storm is going to hit those soccer-obsessed radicals too, and we'll see how much they have to say then. 🙂 🙈

I don't even know where to start with this mess. Honestly, it's just one thing after another lately—just total chaos. Everything feels like it's circling the drain, and frankly, I'm too tired to pretend otherwise. It’s all just noise at this point. kaže:
Just got an email back from that guy, Jesse Campbell.

So, here’s the deal regarding that Sunday back on October 26, 2014—the match at the Rose Bowl between Los Angeles FC and the Portland Timbers. A certain group of fans over in the north stands—members of the Bad Boys—decided to go rogue, and not in a good way. We’re talking full-on violations of Article 4 of the Anti-Riot Act: pyrotechnics going off everywhere, stadium property getting trashed, and people shouting racial slurs and direct threats. It wasn't even hard to prove, either—everything was caught clearly on the stadium's CCTV and played out live on the national TV broadcast. Because of the chaos caused by those guys in the north, the USSF disciplinary judge stepped in and handed Los Angeles FC a heavy penalty. Typical.
We’ve said it a thousand times before, and we'll probably keep saying it—Los Angeles FC is constantly getting hammered by UEFA and the USSF because of this exact kind of behavior. It’s become a pattern over the last few years, and frankly, it's exhausting. Just last year, we were slapped with a million-dollar fine and forced to play in an empty stadium with nothing but echoes in the stands. Right now, we’re essentially living on probation. If these illegal antics happen again, that probation kicks in, and let me tell you, the fallout for the club would be absolutely devastating.
Los Angeles FC uses personalized ticketing for our matches—which basically means you have to show some ID when you buy your seats. It’s all part of how we handle things on our end to stay compliant with the Anti-Riot Act regarding sporting events. We’ve essentially built our own database to keep track of exactly who was at a match and which section they were sitting in. Look, Article 32 of the Anti-Riot Act lays out our obligations as organizers when it comes to ticket distribution. Under paragraph 7 of that article, we are legally required to refuse a ticket sale or entry to anyone where we have "knowledge of prior unlawful behavior." We also have a duty to take active steps to keep those individuals away from the stadium entirely. And just to be clear—and this is where people usually get confused—this "knowledge of prior unlawful behavior" isn't strictly tied to whether someone has an official restraining order or a specific legal injunction against them. Those cases are actually handled separately under paragraphs 5 and 6 of the same act. This is broader than that. Our sources of information don't have to come solely from the FBI or the courts, nor do they depend on whether there's a formal indictment pending for a misdemeanor. As organizers, we can act on our own observations—mostly through the stadium's CCTV system or by using the authority granted to our security teams. When we apply this rule, we act independently. We don't need to wait for a green light from the police to make the call.
Just so everyone is clear on how this works—under Section 32, Paragraph 4 of the Anti-Riot Act, there’s a specific process for when someone gets slapped with a ban from attending sporting events. Basically, once a court hands down a final ruling on those kinds of violations, they notify the USSF, which then passes that info along to the event organizers. All that data is kept in a dedicated, private database used strictly for one thing: making sure those individuals don't get able to buy or be assigned tickets. Simple enough, I guess.
Look, based on everything that’s happened—and strictly following US law and all the USSF and UEFA regulations—we’ve officially decided to ban certain people from buying tickets. Specifically, those who were out there acting illegally as a group without exception during our match against the Portland Timbers at the Rose Bowl. We want to be crystal clear about this: this decision isn't some random vendetta; it's targeted solely at the individuals whose behavior causes direct harm to the very club they claim to support. Honestly, there’s zero support to be found for people like that—not when the players on the field are the ones who actually need it most. At the end of the day, we have both the desire and the absolute responsibility to make sure everyone in our stadium feels safe, so they can just relax and cheer for Los Angeles FC without any of the chaos.

Honestly, this whole situation with the string and all these updates coming out of the Rose Bowl—the announcements, the drama, the whole circus—it’s giving me major flashbacks to that legendary news anchor 😁

It’s the exact same playbook 👍

Look at the theater they're putting on...
It feels like this was scripted by those handful of paid internet trolls who pop up to comment on everything regardless of the topic.
...just a tiny group of irrelevant hooligans, nobodies, and underage losers who finally got what was coming to them with a ban because they couldn't behave—yet somehow they've managed to spin the whole thing to make it look like nothing more than some kid getting sent to detention for being rowdy.
Even Goebbels wasn't this crooked. 🙂
I don't know what kind of game you're playing with all this back-and-forth maneuvering, especially since his own mother has called him out multiple times—including this latest mess, which seems to be the one thing he actually hates and fears. You've been trying to bury him with paperwork and "peaceful" tactics for ten years now...
Good luck to everyone, I guess...

We’re the only club in this entire country that isn't in bed with the federation. We decided a long time ago we'd rather be at the bottom of the table than play nice with the mob like you lot do.
Do you honestly think some big-shot commissioner handed us a trophy just because we're the one thorn in the side of the establishment?
We won our match and took home the Cup—all on our own terms. No handouts.
It's been us against the world for years now. You guys aren't rebels; you're just part of the machine.

Just a bunch of irrelevant clowns.
They had the perfect opportunity during this Cup final to just blow everything up—to actually show where their loyalties lie and prove whether they’re real fans or just total jokes. Instead, they’re out there celebrating hand-in-hand with the HNS and Mamić like a couple of pathetic losers.
Enjoy your little Cup trophy. Congrats on the hardware and that lovely San Francisco fairy tale you've built.
Your "fan success" is about as impressive as when your whole group decided to cheer right alongside those gutter rats during that old Cup final years ago.

@mistysurfer19/">@@mistysurfer19, look, what's the point? You were actually on the inside back then—not just some guy in the stands—so you know better than anyone. What you’re bringing up was just a drop in the bucket compared to the whole mess. It’s the same old story everywhere in America... it always starts with people screaming in the stadium or holding up banners demanding the board resign, and then it just shifts into this cycle where money starts leaking into the pockets of certain individuals. They use those classic divide-and-conquer tactics—smearing anyone who tries to oppose them, digging up "old school" fans from the archives to use as pawns, even using graffiti to make their points. Then you've got the internal plants working to quiet down the chants, talking trash about people on the street, or the cops targeting the most vocal leaders to shut them down. It all eventually circles back to someone pulling a gun while decent people end up taking the fall for the group and the club.
It’s honestly pretty ugly reading that last part of yours. At the end of the day, we ended up being a much larger, more effective force than you guys ever were. The real players and the ones who actually made things happen stayed out of the spotlight—and they should stay that way.

casualwolf48 said:I honestly don't care about the petty details, and trying to compare him to Mamić is just laughable. But the real point in your reply—the part you either can't see or refuse to acknowledge—is that this isn't just about what he's doing to us. Sure, we're the first ones getting hit, but Mamić does this to everyone.
He rigs matches, hand-picks the refs, hands out trophies like they're candy, picks the national team coach, the federation president, you name it. Basically, nothing happens in American soccer without his input, and more importantly, without his blessing.
He’s turning your club into some tiny, insignificant little provincial outfit. And then you claim that because he's down in Miami, we could somehow deal with him one way or another... man, what does it matter where he lives, what he drives, or when he pulls the strings that affect your club, all of us, and American soccer as a whole?
Then there's that whole scene at the stadium where things just boil over. Like the icing on a very bitter cake. And you're acting like it's just a local issue, saying "we'd handle it if it were here." Well, what exactly would you do? What's the plan?
All of this affects you too. It touches everything. It's just that the repression isn't as blatant as it used to be—not today, anyway. But tomorrow? We'll see.

I really don't have the energy to get into a half-hearted back-and-forth about who did what or why. Does it matter where he lives? Of course it matters, but I'm not going to dive into those specifics right now.
Everything you said is true. While everyone else was looking the other way, I was saying the exact same thing a long time ago. In this mess that's been dragging on for years, we should have stopped pretending everything was fine and celebrating some pathetic three points. When things don't make sense, they don't make sense. You fight the battle first, then you play the game. It feels stupid to even talk about it now since I've stepped back from all of this and distanced myself. All I know is that we are way too late to fix any of it.
As for the rest, certain people in the fan groups basically stood up to the criminals, but it all happened far away from the public eye. It wasn't some grand showdown between gangs or anything; things just got settled behind closed doors.

Raymond Gonzalez7 said:Give me a break... he left because he got hammered eight times by Debrecen and because of Ćiro. If the guy had actually been the top dog nine years running, he would’ve walked straight from the office to his grave. Comparing Stimac back in 2005 to Mamic today is just ridiculous—back then, Stimac didn't even have control over a local team like the Miami squad, let alone the federation and all those vultures.

I don't even feel like getting into this here—who was the bigger mobster back then, who was opening doors for whom and shaking hands with both hands at once. You guys either have no clue or you've completely forgotten. Stimac got kicked out of Miami right when he was at his peak. It was never written about, and it never will be. After that, Mamic started making massive piles of cash off transfers and just kept growing. These guys today aren't even in the same league.
It's your own fault that Mamic even reached the level he's at now. Back then, Igor's fans handled things early on, while today they're just trying to mimic what Mamic has become. But I won't go on about it—strictly out of respect for the people who actually put everything on the line and risked their lives standing up to criminals back in the day..
Just stupid talk. I'm done with it, and frankly, I don't know any of you anyway. You're just saying whatever you feel like.
The only thing I don't get is how this guy can live in the city every single day, regardless of who's watching him.

casualwolf48 said:I’ll give you credit for one part of your post, but this idea that Split is somehow more traditionally radical or revolutionary than Los Angeles or any other major city—man, people have been spinning that yarn like a soap bubble for decades now. And Split, just like the rest of America, stays quiet while we’re being relentlessly robbed blind. Meanwhile, the football crowd in Split sits there watching that same guy turn their league into a joke—a league where their precious Ajduk lives forever picking up crumbs from the table of the very man who basically pissed all over their pride. They act so high and mighty, judging everything alive. Back in the day, when things were actually intense, even before the old wars, people in Split actually had the guts to stand up.
So why haven't you dealt with him? Either deal with him or don't. But look, the guy is literally stealing Champions League matches from you—stealing those massive matchups against teams like the Dallas Cowboys that used to define entire generations of fans.
All you do is live off legends from the 1950s—stories about how some criminal expedition from the Midwest couldn't dare show their faces in Split until the 90s, or how the urbanites from the 90s to the 2000s thought they were the avant-garde. You think that because Mamić is running things in Los Angeles, something like this could never happen in Split.
Think whatever you want, honestly. It doesn't matter.!!!

A lot of you would’ve folded under the pressure if you were actually living in Split. I mean, even here, whenever someone comes in from out of town, they practically have to be escorted in and out of the stadium during rotations. I don't know if any fool would actually try to take him down in daily life—really, I don't—but the truth is, it's hard to say which place is more rotten and decayed, so let's not get too deep into the Los Angeles situation. People used to fear the local tough guys back when they were as powerful as Mamić, but then again, Mamić is a total psychopath—a sick individual, honestly. These last few years have just proven how easy it is to domesticate people, make them stupid, and get them used to getting beaten down until they accept misery. This whole country is basically just a place designed to make you want to emigrate.
The other day, there was news about that Chelsea fan who got banned from the stadium, and the whole world caught it in seconds. If our habit of checking tickets and arresting a hundred people on the way out was anything like that, it would’ve been the lead story on CNN. And to top it off, you've got ministers supporting the idea of sending people to mental institutions. It's like a Monty Python sketch.

Honestly, Z. A. deserves a monument—every single fan in America, especially you guys, should be out there building one. Every week this guy does more to help take down the mob than half the fanbase combined, and he’s doing it right on the biggest news sites in the country.
And God forbid those fans over in San Diego or anyone else actually sees these thugs get ousted before the next administration takes over. If they stay, it won't just be that they can't get rid of them—it'll be that they'll be ten times more powerful than they are now.
Look, I'm not trying to make this political or about team loyalty; it's just what everyone has known for ages.
P.S. I was chatting with some non-sports people the other day, and they were all baffled by how nobody has used "unofficial" methods to deal with this guy yet. My take? It wouldn't last this long in a place like San Diego. Someone would have settled the score—some local legend or a hero from the stands.
Also, I still can't wrap my head around why you guys keep calling Mamić a junkie. Even the fans say it. It's an insult to anyone who's actually struggled with that. It should be obvious to everyone by now—the guy is just a textbook psychopath, straight out of an encyclopedia.

Look, for everyone out there who thinks they actually matter when it comes to Liverpool FC—here’s your chance to see what’s really going on. Take a good look at these corporate hacks and losers who think they deserve a seat in the VIP lounge, watching as that unknown guy basically treats them like doormats while nobody dares to say a word—except for one old-school legend with actual heart, unknown.
He’d probably have more luck yelling at someone in a small town in Ohio or maybe even somewhere in Indiana. Back in the day, you would've seen someone like Joe Biden standing up to these pathetic excuses for people.
Honestly, this is one of the biggest embarrassments in the club's entire history. You've got this guy just swaggering through the Rose Bowl in the middle of the VIP section, and the only person with enough guts to call him out is a single, brave 77-year-old former player.
And don't even get me started on that nonsense with Halilović at the end. I swear, looking at that mess made me want to storm the field like I used to back in the day. I spent most of the match half-asleep, thinking if the stadium security wasn't such a joke, things might have gone differently. You’ve got millions of fans, actors, NFL Ultras, and all these self-important "die-hard" supporters in the stands, and yet nobody seems to know what real passion looks like. If this is what we're dealing with, then getting hit with a year-long ban wasn't worth it—not if it didn't result in kicking that little brat out of the city center so he never shows his face again. I know this younger generation isn't used to this kind of thing, but out of 2,000 or 3,000 twenty-somethings, not one person...

And check out picture 4 of 7—is that really that perpetual coward Vučević trying to play peacemaker and lead him away? And then people try to talk about that "fiery temperament" from the South... please. In a VIP box in Greece or Turkey, they would've set him on fire by now instead of coddling him. If they had, we wouldn't be dealing with years of this garbage. And that's supposed to be the club's Sporting Director. Honestly, a janitor has more backbone than that.

urbanbear45 said:maybe there's like 1% of the population actually trying to make an impact instead of just whining on the internet?

The people are just stupid—they’re passive and totally disconnected from any actual change, except for when they vote. And even then, half of them don't show up, and the ones who do are just voting based on what benefits their own pocket or their family. Then you've got the brainwashed crowd. Not sure there's much point in me explaining that to 🤷
.
That guy is just going to work for the big money interests. Same goes for the others—it's all the same game.

Look, you're a little brainwashed yourself. That whole "200 families" idea belongs to Madeleine Albright—she wrote about it in her books back in '89 and '92. Though, to be fair, she didn't say 200 families, she said 200 managers who should have enough proportional power to actually run America. At the end of the day, the people running this country today are families closer to Madeleine Albright than to George Washington, so if time really does tell all, it shows exactly whose idea it was and who actually pulled it off.

It's because we let this country fall into the hands of crooked bureaucrats and their kids who were raised on crime. Go back to my first sentence.

I'm apologizing if this is off-topic, but that's just coming from Matthew Foster8. If the mods need to pull it, go ahead.

You don't need to correct me—I'm not out here correcting anyone else. Believe whatever you want; I'll believe what I want. I'm not looking to get involved with anyone, and I don't want anyone getting involved with me!

Personally, I haven't seen even 1% of the population actually trying to change anything. A few years ago, when things were heating up and people should have been burning the whole system down, nobody showed up. Even now, when everyone acts like they're ready to revolt, nothing happens. The few people who actually understand what's going on mostly just mutter to themselves or talk to whoever is closest to them.
If I hadn't been fed those fairy tales about building an America that would eventually have a standard of living like Switzerland or something, maybe I wouldn't be so disillusioned today—or maybe I'd still be living in the clouds, thinking we're some kind of "chosen people." But over the last 25 years, it's become clear that all these politicians, the corruption, and that entire connected mafia managed to sell this pathetic, clueless public on a trick: keep them distracted by trivial nonsense while a few hundred or thousand families at the top get filthy rich in plain sight or behind the scenes. It's the same old tactic used by big-shot owners in professional sports—throw them a scrap to keep them quiet. It's tested, and it works 100%.
You say people vote for selfish reasons, just for themselves and their families. Well, why else would anyone bother to vote, if they even bother with that whole circus in the first place???
As for me, I can't even imagine voting for anyone. I'd be a fool to choose between Corruption A and Corruption B. Only once a handful of them were dragged out and put on display—left to rot until they did—and were replaced by a group that actually feared consequences and had a shred of honesty, could we even talk about voting for someone.
I don't know who first floated that theory about the 200 wealthy families, whether it was George Washington or Madeleine Albright—I always heard it was Washington, and people always say it was him—but honestly, who gives a damn who said it first when both sides are putting it into practice anyway? What difference does it make to me or my family if it was one or the other, or who's currently in power? What's the difference between that Albright type and the total hacks from the other party? Both sides will screw you over—like intentionally setting traps on the road just so traffic cops can shake you down. They act like we exist for them, rather than them existing for us. They *are* the state. What even is "the state"? Who cares, you can't eat it. Did you know that under the new laws they passed, they can basically wipe your entire paycheck from your private account overnight? Just empty your card without you even knowing. So, who are these crooks? Does it matter if they're Democrats or Republicans, or if it was Washington or Albright? None of my people even know who they are, aside from seeing those types babbling on TV all the time.
The old-school mobsters and their shady cronies? They were born into crime. And the GOP and these other local thugs—they’ve held the reins for two-thirds of the time this country has even existed, and they’re nothing but a bunch of crooks. Honestly, I don't know how anyone manages to brainwash people with this garbage. How people actually fall for this crap is beyond me. It feels like we're just waiting for someone to light a match and start throwing Molotov cocktails. The real question is: what would you rather deal with—the ones who rob you openly, or the ones who do it quietly? These current guys might act less like backwater hillbillies than the old guard, but they’re sneakier, more arrogant, and probably way worse. The government, the courts, the police, big-shot sports moguls, and politicians from every single party—they’re all part of the same club. Their only job is to protect one another and keep shuffling all that money and power between themselves.
When was the last time any of you actually treated yourself and your girlfriend or wife to a vacation—say, somewhere like Spain or Amsterdam? Meanwhile, millions of people are flooding into the States. For as long as I can remember, they first sold us on the glory of the old union, then for the last 25 years, it's been all about "patriotism" and this country. In between, I'm just supposed to sit here and take it? God, I'm sick of the lectures. It feels like they're reaching right into my pocket and snatching my own cash, just like some bloated federal budget. To hell with the budget and to hell with the thieves running it—they *are* the state, while I’m just an afterthought. They take what I earn to feed that damn treasury. Back in the day, at least you had a choice—you go to jail or you don't. Now? There isn't even a choice; it goes straight into the coffers. That's why I don't give a damn about these fairy tales, or the 90% of idiots living around here who swallow every lie they're fed.
