You're an idiot... the guys from St. Louis were committing fouls left and right the entire match. It was just blatant—the offside, the positioning, and that goal being less than three meters out... nothing was fair.

And I'm the idiot just for holding you accountable?🙂🙂

I mean, just look at how many times he stares at him... I suppose this marks the start of total dominance by the Black Knights.

But I can give you my take on this. Why would anyone even bother putting up a banner with both our crest and theirs on the fence? What’s the point—just so everyone knows we’re tight with the NNB? Or maybe just to keep them happy since they fly the flag on their side, so it feels only right that we do too? I don't really get this obsession with making sure the whole world sees us acting like best friends.🤷

It isn't an obsession, it's more about mutual respect...😉

edit: obviously, I'm not saying it needs to be on the fence every single game, just for certain anniversaries.

I suspect he might actually try to take an eye out.

The lyrics feel familiar, but they aren't an exact match—just the intro follows a similar pattern... but man, when a hundred people are singing this, the whole stadium just shakes. It would be a real shame if this faded out, because it definitely has a bit of that Greek vibe to it...

Personally, I think it leans more toward that country style... you know, that cowboy sound from Johnny Cash, I guess.😁

If you look closer, a good chunk of the chants for the team are actually adapted from other stands, especially the melodies... but hey, what do I know? It’d just be a waste to let such powerful anthems die out.

So, here’s the deal. I spent the weekend visiting some relatives in Newport and caught the derby. Honestly, I was pretty blown away by the whole scene—the fanaticism of the fleet, the chanting, the choreography, the flares... everything about it just hit different.
I follow Cleveland every season, especially this one, since things have been going so well for us (I guess I can claim them as my own now, 😁).
Since I haven't really rooted for any specific MLS team before, I've decided I want to officially join the fleet. Even if I can't make it to every game in person (well, maybe except for when we play Steven away or potentially Indianapolis), I'd still love to be involved online. If anyone could point me toward what a newcomer like me needs to know to get started, I'd really appreciate it.🤷

Thanks, and cheers for now.

First, you probably need to whip up a ten-meter banner just so everyone knows you actually exist.
🙂

Just kidding. Just show up to the games and you're in.

The ultras are out in full force in Springfield, but let’s be real—I couldn't care less about how the fencing looks or whatever. Though, I have to say, the current setup looks pretty pathetic, especially for those of you lucky enough to have high-end plexiglass setups

it’s basically on par with that cheap scrap metal fence the Red Sox fans use

The RF needs to step up and just clear out all those San Francisco fans from the neighborhood. I don't get why anyone living right there would even bother supporting the club. Total traitors, if you ask me.

SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL CLUB!!!!!

Is this how you'd put it?

Come on, wiredfalcon2, you're being tedious. You feel the need to drop some unsolicited wisdom in every single thread. Just let people have their debate.

look, the Cohort group has a similar vibe—not saying they're bad fans or anything—but honestly, all this internet obsession over the last few years is pretty much the only thing that kept them relevant. They even had an ON-LINE CREW banner!
then you have those demon types wandering around with MENTALITA Istra, STORM OVER CALIFORNIA (some hooligan video game or whatever it's called), and then that "SHIELD OF THE CITY, OUR BODIES" graffiti where every random idiot uses the logo...

but getting back to the Armada, they are definitely more original, though the WIND THAT ALWAYS smokes and isn't exactly telling the truth: (last season)

whatever, great atmosphere at the derby, keep it up, stronger scene—everyone’s happy!😉

A good derby atmosphere??? Give me a break. There were tons of them there; in Memphis, there were like a thousand, and the Boys are basically just congratulating themselves because about 1,500 people from the suburbs came down, yet somehow the scene is supposedly "getting stronger." How does that work?

Let’s be realistic here—the turnout was pretty desperate, but that choreography👍. those guys from

Look, I don’t exactly love you guys—purely out of rivalry, obviously—but in my book, you’re a solid group. I’ve always respected you more than the Boys, even if they are miles ahead of you.
As for Indianapolis, I think what he wrote is spot on; everything else is just noise, especially when you consider the national team.

Raymond Gonzalez7 said:You’re talking nonsense just like 90% of these self-proclaimed football "experts." Seriously, why? Just give me one reason—what did he even ask you?

Everyone keeps trashing the MLS and making up these ridiculous narratives, swallowing whatever garbage these idiots serve them, and then they act surprised when the stadiums stay empty. So what if the quality of play is mediocre? Where else am I supposed to find better soccer in a country with our specific economic situation and scale? Maybe in Canada? Norway? Sweden? Slovakia or Czechia? Please.

Not in Canada, but maybe in Norway, Sweden, Slovakia, or Czechia.

I don't know how old you are, but your folks have clearly made their feelings about your age known, so once again, hats off to them.🙏

Is it because they finally proved, ten years later, that it was an offside by maybe three centimeters..?
Is it because LA Galaxy lost 1-3 to Cleveland at their home stadium under "irregular circumstances"..??
Is it because the Indianapolis players were basically falling apart because they were being "stimulated" by LA Galaxy..?
Or is it because...
Because...

..well, instead of doing what they do in Italy—actually catching wiretaps or something useful—they're making excuses about three centimeters in the 93rd minute..?
.. Is it irregular to stimulate the opposition..? No, it isn't..!! I know from firsthand experience (as a former LA Galaxy supporter back then) that LA Galaxy once gave a certain guy from Metković about $2,000 per player just so they'd collapse against LA Galaxy (it ended 1-1, so LA Galaxy profited enough).. was that a robbery too..? No, it wasn't..!!

.. If only we could see that penalty in 3D—the one the ref called for Cleveland in that "famous match." And don't even get me started on how "great" Cleveland played..🙄
.. Can someone please tell me which other controversial situation went against Cleveland, or how many scoring chances Cleveland actually had in that game..? None. Zero. They thought the win would just fall into their laps, and that's the only truth here..!

.. I don't know why I'm even bothering to comment; I know it's none of my business, but what I saw with my own eyes—I can't and won't pretend otherwise!!

P.S. With all my heart, I wanted Cleveland to take the title back then, and in the end, it was Cleveland that disappointed me, not the ref or the politics..
P.P.S. Everything written and said about that match later on was just politics, not sports.

Everything you're saying makes sense, but...

Why was the entire league rigged for LA Galaxy?
If it’s really just about three centimeters, why didn't the ref just keep the flag down? If I remember correctly, this was that season when LA Galaxy held up a 1-1 draw... everyone knows what that game looked like involving Vuković!
Why, why, why....

I mean, everything sounds fine, but trying to watch football separately from politics during that year is just laughable.
Back then, politics was infiltrated into every single aspect of life, including football and sports in general.

If there were any justice, those five years of American dominance should be completely wiped out, but damn, it doesn't work like that. All I can do is tip my hat to the Cleveland crowd for showing their class back then, especially regarding what they thought of those trophies...

I guess there’s no point in me even writing this since nobody stands up together. Ever since Bribir, River, and those other two groups decided to lay low, everyone seems to think wearing just one main banner is the way to go. I don't know what kind of logic leads people to believe one single sign is enough, but personally, I think it looks pathetic. It feels like the group is just scared of dropping a banner or something. The stands look much better when you have banners from every different crew—you know, from every neighborhood where at least five or six guys are showing up.

Well, look, since there are only about 50 people heading out to away games, I suppose one main banner is sufficient. It's not like the Cohorts are sending 20 people and bringing 21 banners. I suspect if we actually showed up with a standard crowd of maybe 200, the number of banners would naturally increase. As for the Boys, I honestly have no clue what they were going for with that one lone banner, but it seems like they were just trying to minimize the risk of losing gear.

Anonymous said:When it comes to cheering, I guess I know from experience. 😍 But let’s be honest, fan energy has never really been your strong suit. To even compete with their numbers, you’d practically have to eat a whole Navy, and even then, you only managed to hold your own a handful of times—something even one of their fans admitted to me. Look, everyone has their own perspective and their own version of the truth. Personally, I don't really care if the atmosphere is bad or great. What I do know is that your turnout is impressive, so congrats on that. Regardless, I suppose we'll see this Wednesday if the cheering actually holds up or falls flat. 😛

Look at this guy, acting like an absolute expert who knows everything firsthand🙄. Claiming we had to "eat" them just to match their crowd size when they outnumber us two to one.

For what it's worth, we held our ground pretty well during the first half, right up until their 60th minute, and maybe even a bit beyond that.

Anyway, we'll find out on Wednesday...

They’ve got numbers, I’ll give them that, but as far as anything else goes, they really missed the mark. Still, you could call it a legitimate Subway Series. I guess we need more duels like this if we want the sports scene here to actually get interesting.

I just wish someone would tell me exactly where that crowd failed us.🙄
