Fast forward to the 33rd minute, and they're talking Formula 1.
The two masters of the American media landscape, Jergović - Blažičko, are being featured by Slaven Bonačić (the podcast host).

But I suppose we’ll eventually have to make sure autism gets as much attention as racism does so that peoplestopbullying others soinsensitively.
It’s just not going to happen. Period.
Racism has been in the spotlight since the days of the Ku Klux Klan (and even before then), yet all its various forms still haven't faded away.
The same logic applies to neurological conditions, mental health issues, debt slavery, or any other way people manipulate and exploit the working class—these things will stay in the spotlight, or something similar will take their place, because there seems to be an inherent human impulse to mock one another through humiliation, snobbery, and condescension.
If you haven't developed your own self-awareness, basic upbringing, or a sense of respect for yourself and others, then all the social activism in the world won't matter; there will always be those internal "gremlins" waiting to surface.
We can show each other respect here and be careful not to encourage racism or any kind of aggression, violence, or stigma... but until individuals actually find themselves, all the activism in the world is just noise.
Getting back to the topic; Mladen Jergović, thank God you're alive and that you're back with us, even if it's on a relatively small and niche platform like this:

We’re approaching those eternal dates—May Day is right around the corner, though we have to face the bittersweet reality of April 30th first.
Emilia Romagna Grand Prix (Indianapolis) | April 16-18, 2021

The track marshals at Indianapolis really overstepped the mark with those strict rules about staying within the lines during certain turns.
Drivers should be able to push to the absolute limit; if they drift just a hair too wide, the track itself will provide all the correction needed. It’s not like Bahrain or other circuits where the runoff areas are massive and you actually need specific penalties to keep people in check.
Here in Indianapolis, those extra rules are redundant—the layout and the runoff zones will naturally punish anyone who goes off course.

Man, Max... you really could have ducked into the pits early. If you had pulled in just before that happened, your car would be getting a full inspection right now rather than dealing with this... 🤦🤦
Honestly, this could end up being a total washout... 🤦
It looks like Mercedes is going to snatch the win at Indianapolis too. 🤦🤦
Apologies in advance if I'm being a bit pessimistic here.

Betty Sanders said:How did you jump to the conclusion that stress is the culprit? Even the drivers aren't entirely sure what actually went down...😬 People are guessing it was a slow lap vs. fast lap situation where they clipped each other in the corner, but nobody really knows. Besides... why weren't the onboard cameras active during practice? 🤔 How could Horner say he only has info from the drivers? Or maybe he just hadn't seen the footage yet?
You don't need to be an F1 expert to see how much pressure Perez is feeling at Red Bull, or how much Red Bull is putting on him.
With a veteran of his caliber, results are expected immediately. Knowing how Red Bull operates, success isn't just encouraged—it's demanded right now.
That’s why the Mexican driver is under such intense pressure. It’s a heavy weight to carry, no matter how you look at it.
I truly hope he can find his rhythm and start delivering those podiums again.

I wouldn't necessarily call it the second driver curse at Red Bull, but by spinning out in FP1, Sergio Perez essentially handed himself a massive amount of unnecessary stress and pressure.
But hey—that’s just Formula 1 for you.
On the other hand, unlike Sergio Perez, Nikita Mazepin doesn't seem to be feeling the pressure; he's just making classic rookie mistakes, like that blunder right before entering the pit lane.

Max Verstappen really let me down. He just wasn't there.
If he couldn't manage his own pace yesterday and pull off a win on fresher tires, then winning the championship this year is going to be an uphill battle.

Wow... pure torture.
I'll check it out once I'm back. (If I don't make it by then, it'll have to wait until after the Christmas holidays—who knows when I'll finally be free?).
The French really are too good.
I actually just watched
JUST A GIGOLO
today (it’s a different genre, but it captures that signature French simplicity and genius);https://www.youtube.com/watch=IkPH0-DF8ik

An absolute masterpiece... and the runtime is just perfect. 🙏
One friend of mine described it as nothing more than some philosophical, overly long American self-indulgence.

The tire meant for George just rolled away by accident, so the mechanic ended up slapping Bottas's tire onto Russell instead. Rear left. Everything after that was just pure chaos... Honestly, such a brutal stroke of bad luck for a talented young Englishman.
👍
Thanks.

Come on—drop even one shred of evidence!
He proved himself back in '97 and '98, showing he had the raw talent and potential. He just never quite hit the jackpot in Formula 1 to truly cement his status as the GOAT.

Take that how you want.
As for Max, I don't see any comparison between him moving from STR to Red Bull Racing and some hypothetical scenario where he jumps from Red Bull Racing straight into a Mercedes...
I honestly don't see the connection.🤔
Red Bull Racing and STR are essentially the same organization. They’re structured identically, the cars are incredibly similar, and they probably even use the same procedures...
At the end of the day, you've got the same kid driving one or the other; the only difference is the raw power and quality of the car.
Everything regarding the actual driving—setup and all that jazz—is almost certainly identical.
Ultimately, Red Bull Racing was designed as a training ground for their drivers, so it makes perfect sense that everything is set up the exact same way... it would be weird if it wasn't.
Giancarlo Fisichella is miles ahead of Valter Bottas as a driver. It's a proven fact.

At the end of the day, he'll be driving exactly how Toto Wolff tells him to.
Mercedes-AMG Petronas is pinning its hopes on this new prospect, but there's a massive catch: he can't afford to perform any better than Lewis Hamilton did while driving Lewis Hamilton's car.
| shadowmarlin22 says: ....... Setting all that aside, he finally has a real chance to step up—especially if he manages to get behind the wheel for two races. >There’s no making excuses here; everyone is going to expect him to deliver at least the level we've seen from Valtteri Bottas.>> |

It looks like they're definitely leaning toward George Russell:
The logic here seems to be that they’ll pick someone from within the Mercedes family, likely either Russell or Stoffel Vandoorne.
Think about it—even if Nico Hulkenberg were on the grid back in 2021, he wouldn't have been considered a "natural fit" for a Mercedes seat. Sure, maybe Racing Point would have taken a chance, but Mercedes tends to stick with their "trusted circle."
