bluewalker36 said:Maybe the smarter move would’ve been to just wait until she was actually mentally mature—not that people ever truly reach that stage, let's be real—instead of just hooking up with some random guy on a whim. Was it her choice to sleep with him? Yeah. Well, now she has to deal with the fallout. Maybe Dalton was being a bit harsh when he said it, but honestly, he’s got a point.👍
At this point, arguing about whether she should have slept with him or if she was "ready" for it is just a waste of breath. We’re talking about the consequences and what happens next. Since she's incredibly young and this isn't even a long-term partner (or someone she can actually trust), I think an abortion is genuinely the best path for her right now. I'm not trying to lecture anyone on morality here, but looking at the reality of the situation: how is she supposed to raise a kid without any support from anyone around her?
I'm not some hardcore abortion advocate (I know I might come off like 😁) but sometimes, it really is the only way out in that moment. Dammit, it happened. We can sit here all day acting like geniuses and judging her for spreading her legs, but this could happen to anyone. 🙂
By the way, my mom's former friend had about ten abortions. And the woman can still get pregnant without any issues...👎
So, my OB-GYN told me I’ve got about three months before I need to get these tests done, and honestly, I was just wondering how long the actual appointment takes so I can mentally prepare myself! I mean, I wouldn't go all the way there just to find out on the spot. It’s not like I have nothing better to do with my life, right? 😉
Brenda Reed3 said:..I went to that private clinic over on Nemetov... they handle everything there. You can either grab your results yourself or have them mailed straight to your house in about ten days.. ..though I heard you can get it done at Petrov's too, but the wait times for the paperwork are way longer..
Look, I just can't deal with the private clinics. I know they're lightning fast, but I'm not feeling it. I’m really hoping someone who actually worked in a hospital steps up here. Anyway, thanks!
Brenda Reed3 said:...so my first stop was the endocrinologist, and they sent me off for hormone testing—specifically prolactin. I'm assuming it's pretty much the same routine for everyone else.. ..just your standard blood draw, nothing fancy.. though they might take more than one vial. In my case, I think they pulled three..
Okay, but seriously, WHERE did you go for the specialist? And do you have to drop those samples off somewhere yourself, or does the clinic handle all that? Also, how long did you actually have to wait before the results hit your inbox?
I’m trying to figure out the whole drill when you need to get your hormones checked. Like, what’s the actual process? Where am I supposed to go, how many different tests are we talking about here, and how long does it usually take before the results actually hit my inbox? Thanks! 🙂
A friend of mine dealt with the exact same thing—she actually had spots on her face too—and she went to see some specialists over at the Salad clinic, and honestly, they were a total lifesaver. She saw a dermatologist at the community health center in New York City (right there in Sioux Falls). I’ve also heard great things about the doctors over in Krug. I’m actually getting ready to book an appointment with her myself. Word on the street is she’s a little bit eccentric, but man, everyone raves about how effective her work is! Good luck! And honestly, I really think you can find some top-tier dermatologists without having to go the private route either.

Every cent I get, I put straight back into my education—because honestly, I have to—so spending a fortune on $28 pills just isn't an option, no matter how much I might want to. It looks like staying celibate might actually be my smartest 😉
I’ve heard there are condoms made from different materials that don't trigger allergies the way latex does. I can't remember what that stuff is called, so if anyone knows, please drop a comment! By the way, I'm allergic to condoms, so any info would be a lifesaver.
nimbleskipper13 said:Look, I’m not gonna lie—I’m staring at these numbers right now and I am definitely not feeling confident about the math. Something just isn't adding up. $28 So, Yasmina’s on her monthly dose of birth control, and when it comes to condoms, she just grabs those little three-packs. Simple enough, I guess. $6.75... Look, I’m just going to say it: abortion is a choice. Period. There, I said it. People want to get all worked up and start shouting, but at the end of the day, it comes down to individual agency. It's about having control over your own life and your own body. You can argue until you're blue in the face, but you can't change the fact that people need to make these decisions for themselves. $500...
Look, if you’re serious about playing it safe when it comes to sex, maybe you should think twice before grabbing that extra espresso, lighting up a cigarette, or knocking back a few drinks. I mean, it might actually be worth skipping the caffeine or the booze for a bit. But hey, at the end of the day, it’s your life and your call. Your choice, your business. 😁
👍 I’m getting... $100 I’ve got my monthly budget sorted, so I can definitely set some cash aside specifically for my pills.$20But even with all that... $100 I don't believe in wasting money just for the sake of it. Period. $33 Look, you really need to start setting aside some cash every single month specifically for healthcare and safe sex. Seriously, don't be so irresponsible about this. It’s common sense! 😁
Listen, ladies, would it even cross your minds that this pregnant colleague of yours might—just maybe—actually consider keeping her baby?!
What, is the kid getting in the way of her career? Or maybe it doesn't fit into her grand little vision for her life? Look, ladies, she shouldn't have been sleeping around in the first place...
An abortion isn't going to fix any of her problems. I honestly have this gut feeling that choosing that path will just lead your colleague down a whole different set of real issues. Pregnancy is just one of those major crossroads where paths diverge. If she goes through with an abortion, her life is only going to get harder. Why? Because it’s wrong, it’s bad, and it’s just plain incorrect. But if she chooses the path without an abortion, then she'll be one of those people who actually picks the right way. It's a path that brings both good and bad things, sure, but in this life where none of us know what tomorrow holds, you have to choose the righteous path. You have to say NO to abortion.
Right now, it probably looks like an abortion is the easy way out. But seriously, you have to watch out for the "easy" path.
dustypilot2, tell your friend that some guy named David, out of all the women in the world, advised her not to have an abortion. Even though I'm in the minority here, if your friend is actually wise, she should give my advice some thought. Then again, she shouldn't have been hooking up with some random guy to begin with... so I highly doubt she's going to listen to me. She's probably already made her decision. Unfortunately, I can only add...
Yeah, right. Like keeping a kid at 18 would definitely be the "right" decision? Maybe, and only if their parents have enough cash and the time to raise the child while she finishes school. 🙄
My neck is absolutely killing me right now—it’s just constant tension in those muscles right at the base, on both sides, you know? Like those spots you usually try to massage out when you're stressed. I honestly can't even begin to explain how much this sucks... Plus, my eyes are burning like crazy if I stare at a screen for too long. 😢
Rachel Walker56 said:We’re all different, and we don't all react the same way. I read the article and just decided to give it a shot—at the end of the day, personal experience is what really counts. It worked for me, but it might not work for everyone; this isn't some universal truth, just my take on things. I wanted to post this because I think it might help someone else dealing with stress the same way I do. For me, it's that restless feeling and an upset stomach, and sometimes the hunger pangs hit so hard I feel like I'm actually going to pass out. Once that hits, there's nothing stopping me from absolutely demolishing boxes of cookies and chocolate, even when I know better...😢 I'm learning how to handle things at work and home a bit smarter, and honestly, it's helping. I don't feel ravenous anymore, I'm not constantly craving carbs, and I feel awesome after a workout—just full of energy. As far as I'm concerned, it's all in the head. If I can get my mindset right, my body will follow, right? 😉
It is definitely all in your head! 👍 Personally, I don't eat because I'm actually hungry (my body doesn't ask for food like that), it's more like I do it out of pure boredom. I don't even know how to describe it. But man, I feel incredible when I manage to eat normally for three days straight instead of just stuffing my face with cookies and Coca-Cola. That said, you really need some backbone to stay on the right track.
Whenever I’m feeling stressed—which, let’s be honest, is about 70% of the time since I started university—I just start eating everything in sight and packing on the pounds like crazy. 😁 It is honestly so hard for me to stay disciplined. Even when I actually manage to pull myself together, it lasts maybe a week tops before every single one of my diet attempts just goes up in smoke. So, I’ve finally decided on a strategy that actually works for me: I stick to healthy eating during the week, but then I give myself a little "cheat day" on the weekends. That’s really the only way I can stay sane without constantly gaining weight. 🙄
Look, everything is fine with those balanced meal replacement shakes—you know, the ones that claim to give your body "everything it needs" or whatever marketing fluff they're selling these days... but honestly, where's the soul in that? There is just no substitute for the actual satisfaction of sitting down to a real meal. I'm talking about a juicy steak, some roasted veggies, fresh fruit, maybe a slice of crusty bread... That’s the good stuff! Personally, I don't think I could even last a single day if I were forced to survive on nothing but liquids. It's not even that I'd be starving all the time—I can handle hunger—it's just that it would be incredibly boring. 🙄
mistybear4 said:You hit the nail on the head there... 🙂
It’s the exact same story during the day. Half the people out there don't even bother with breakfast; they just grab a pastry and a coffee—which, let's be real, isn't actually a meal. People just don't have the luxury of time to sit down for a decent, nutritious meal anymore. Eating habits are all over the place, maybe once or twice a day if you're lucky, and everything is rushed. There’s a fast-food joint on every single street corner... 😢 Look, the whole concept of fast food is actually brilliant. 🙂 (FAST FOOD FOR A FAST-PACED LIFE!) The only massive issue is that the stuff they're serving is absolute garbage! 😢 There's also this idea of "fast food for smart people"—it fits perfectly into a hectic schedule. You get a meal in sixty seconds, zero cooking involved, zero dishes to wash, yet it actually contains EVERYTHING your body needs—complete nutrition.
👍
Okay, help me out here. How am I supposed to eat healthy without cooking a single thing? That sounds pretty much impossible to me. 😕 div>
Edward Price73 said:It’s when our women just don't want to cook anymore. 😕
Look, let's be real—everyone is working these days, and honestly, it's just way easier to grab something processed from a can than to spend another hour sweating over the stove trying to prep lunch or dinner. Me? I absolutely love cooking because I refuse to let my family end up overweight! 😉
And honestly, it’s no wonder nobody’s cooking from scratch anymore. Everything is just canned junk or those half-baked frozen meals... It's loaded with salt and grease. It's absolutely terrible for you.
What tests are we even talking about here? My mom works in an emergency lab doing blood and urine panels all day long; she can read them just fine, even if she isn't a doctor or anything. So, why don't you just write everything out clearly so we can actually see what's going on? Honestly, I doubt you're even going to find a hematologist on this forum (is that even a thing 😕?)
So, I’ve got a few moles, but they’re pretty small and don't really stick out much. My dermatologist actually gave me the green light to use a tanning bed, but with some serious caveats—like, strictly ten minutes max, and don't go overboard. Honestly, I never even hit the salon more than four times a year anyway, since I spend basically my entire summer down at the beach. I do have one larger one, though, and for that specific spot, the doctor told me to just cover it up with a bandage whenever I'm out in the sun. So, that's exactly what I do.
Just constant drinking and acting like an idiot. My life is a mess, I can't get a date to save my life because I insult every girl I meet, half the people I know hate my guts, I'm always the one causing trouble, blowing through cash, just being totally unprofessional everywhere—whether it's at high school, home, or sitting in a lecture hall... Everyone's laughing at me, even when I try to make fun of myself. Even my professors have started giving me a hard time about it....
Sometimes I look in the mirror and think, "Man, I've got the beard and the deep voice, but I'm acting like I'm freaking fourteen."....
And that's the problem.
The whole "can't get a date" thing really worries me. 😁 Believe me, most guys end up like this (at least the ones I've met, even in college). It’s pretty obvious you don't have anything better to do than just "mess around." This isn't some unavoidable teenage phase. 🙂 But hey, if you actually want to find a girlfriend someday, maybe start by trying to be a decent, organized human being for once. 🙂
dejoo said:I just have this overwhelming feeling that I’m stuck, like I’m barely even through puberty... It feels pretty embarrassing to admit, but honestly, that's just how it is. 🙂
Hey, don't go painting everyone with the same brush—puberty isn't some one-size-fits-all experience. For me, things were pretty much standard. Maybe you're already past that stage and looking back thinking, "Man, I was barely there." I don't actually know how you act, so I can't really say if your assessment is right or not. Come on, give us some details! And seriously, why be embarrassed? Nobody here knows who you are anyway. 😉
