That’s exactly my point. You can't have truly terrible rock music. 😎

I honestly wonder if a solo record from that guy in Dismemberment plan (one of my absolute favorite bands) could actually be SO bad that Pitchfork would give it a zero... 😲
You're an idiot. 😁

rustyangler68 said:Fine, I'll try to keep that in mind for the next time I find myself at some wedding through no fault of my own, getting patted on the shoulder by some auntie shouting, "Come on, sweetie, get up and join the line!" while I'm just standing there terrified of being cornered. Perspective is everything.

Bad rock music is actually much worse than those obnoxious party-goers, mostly because I can at least distance myself from the latter by knowing "it has nothing to do with me." On the other hand, people who listen to terrible rock assume that just because they see Converse on my feet, I must have something in common with them and their garbage taste in music... which makes me want to reach for a firearm. 😠

Perspective is everything, indeed. 😁

Nothing is quite as offensive as bad rock music. 🙂

Wait, what is Radiohead even talking about here? 😕

It’s a song by Talking Heads. 😎

I wasn't exactly moved by the rest of Morrissey's album, but "The First of the Gang to Die" is easily the pop song of the decade. Hats off to him...

The Mighty Caesars - 1977; I have a feeling Billy Childish probably cranked out seven or eight albums in 2004 alone, but who actually has the bandwidth to keep up with all that? 😢

I honestly don't get how anyone could dislike tracks like "Bohemian Rhapsody" or "Hotel California." For heaven's sake, people... 😕

And what exactly would be an unachievable grunge fantasy? I’m genuinely curious...

As far as I'm concerned, the only thing missing is more concerts outside of Washington, D.C. If you actually want to discover indie bands, you'll find them just fine—I know about [mandelbrot set], Lavender Field, and plenty of other obscure stuff... but the real issue is that I never get the chance to see any of them live. Beš. 👎

Well, punk rock... 👍 😁

Radiohead is incredible, particularly *Kid A* and *Amnesiac*—honestly, those are the only two albums of theirs I’ve actually sat down and listened to in full. I remember hearing *OK Computer* once while riding in a friend's car; it completely blew my mind, yet I somehow never got around to revisiting it. As for *The Bends*, I drifted off to sleep listening to it once... "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" was on heavy rotation, along with the title track, which features a seriously impressive cover of Anthrax. I gave *Pablo Honey* a shot ages ago, but I couldn't get into it because it didn't have that *Exploited* energy, so I haven't touched it since. Honestly, when there's more good music out there than you have free time to actually hear it... life just gets in the way. (Or so Kevin Chavez3 says as he listens to *Too Tough to Die* for the millionth time...) 🙄)
