Jimmy Stanić, then The Beatles, then The Stones, then Psihomodo, then MC Hammer (a total anomaly 😁), then Gansi, then Mejdeni, then Metallica, then Nirvana, then Sepultura... everything else.

Well, Moby didn't cover those two... 😁
Regarding the debate over technical skill—one of the two best albums I’ve ever heard* is "Lungs" by Big Black (or rather, by Steve Albini, since Big Black was just him at the time). It’s an album I could actually play myself without breaking a sweat.
Yeah, redcrane28, there are two by Schmidt. I think it’s "How Soon Is Now?" and "This Charming Man".
It seems a bit silly to me that they chose "I Wanna Be Sedated" by the Ramones; it isn't even particularly great or significant. While my favorite Ramones album is actually "Road to Ruin", they really should have picked something from their debut...
maybe something like Hüsker Dü - Could You Be the One?

I think I read somewhere that the most famous punk solo from GSTQ was actually played by a studio guitarist rather than Steve Jones..."
Ah, there it is—that "see, I actually know what I'm talking about" moment. 🙄 Fine, fine. Keep your opinions to yourself then. Your loss.
Sure... Dire Straits are perfectly fine by me, as long as I distance myself from the massive hype surrounding them.
I suppose the kid from major labels has heard the old cliché about punks being unable to play their instruments, and since he knows The Clash were punks, he’s trying to draw some kind of conclusion. 🙄
Ethan Perez97 said:I don't get why everyone pushes The Clash so hard... I mean, someone who can barely play their instruments writing one of the best songs in 25 years is just absurd.
You’re uninformed, narrow-minded, and frankly, clueless. Even if technical skill actually dictated musical quality—which it doesn't—at least two members of The Clash were phenomenal musicians (Mick Jones and Topper Headon), and the others were more than capable. I couldn't care less whether you like the band or not, but I have zero patience for armchair experts lecturing on things they clearly don't understand. So, beat it...

Exactly. Except rock usually has a shelf life of about 15 to 20 years; then, the cheese undergoes a cool, ironic indie revival and suddenly stops being cheesy. 😁
Bill, "Tazi-Tazi" is the textbook definition of HEAVY cheese. But it works once you have that cool indie sense of irony... 😁 😁 😁
Got a new Rancid record coming soon; a buddy picked it up for me. Spent today relentlessly blasting "and out Come The Wolves," mixed in with The Clash, Misfits, and Motörhead. The perfect soundtrack for swallowing dead pigs on the curb... 🙂

What a load of garbage. You really think you could trade me something of yours for my copy of "The Dwarves Come Clean"? It’s an absolute masterpiece... impossible to describe...
They’ve got plenty more gems like that in the vault... Stuff like "Thinking of you while I'm swiping your groceries" or "Come over and get laid against my will," and so on. Absolute legends. 👍
