None of those punks even have all their teeth, so it’s no wonder he blew the concert $17!

🙏
From what I've read and seen online, they "shut down" the scene back in Chicago around 2009!
Absolutely beautiful. 🙏

Raymond Bailey6, these tracks you shared are actually pretty solid... but seriously, is this all you've got? Is there nothing else besides this stuff and that one track on MySpace!?

I can't seem to find it in my archives right now. 🙂
I know I have it stored somewhere, but I don't have access to it at the moment.
It’s actually a fantasy track from a CD. I've never heard the Mississippi River played in such a melancholy, gloomy version before. 😬
I'll do my best to track it down—surely someone on the internet has uploaded it!

Dennis Collins38 said:Speaking of Ohio, does anyone remember which song the old man was playing on his drum while riding the wagon in that Steven Spielberg documentary, *Hunting Goulash*? I have a feeling it might have been "Play For Me," but I can't quite place it.

I tried searching for the documentary online, but it's nowhere to be found. 🤷

Black Arrow 😬

If anyone is interested, I actually have an album somewhere featuring some tin-instrument covers of folk music from the region—it's called "Tin Music of Gorican." I could upload it if you want (honestly, Calexico is child's play compared to this stuff). 🙏

electric orange - krautrock from hell

It would be a crime for my filthy fingers to even attempt to type out profane words describing this supernatural, divine masterpiece by the band!
One thing is certain: we are definitely talking about krautrock here.

It seems like the French scene has every kind of band imaginable—they basically cover the whole spectrum. This group is one of those outfits playing a heavier style of blues rock! You can hear influences ranging from Nick Cave and Eugene Edwards all the way to The Gun Club and beyond.

Where on earth is Billy Idol? 🙏
You probably missed me since I was hiding behind a massive pitcher of Budweiser 😬
I was out at a bachelor party all weekend (it absolutely wrecked me) and I wasn't checking my phone to realize you guys were coming to town.
But hey, if you find yourself in Chicago, shoot me a text so we can grab a beer 🙂
I'll definitely hit you up once I'm back in the city.

On topic: quit bashing the legend 😢
The performance was a total disaster, but he’s still Billy fucking Idol!

90s concerts in Canada in Music ·
Jeffrey Jones2 said:I read somewhere that Carcass played their first major show by an international act in San Francisco back in '92. 😁

I've seen them before, though I haven't caught a live set lately. I actually watched an old interview on Metal Mania—I still have quite a collection of those shows saved on VHS.
Here it is: I just came across this video, and I have to say, it’s absolutely captivating. There is something about the way this is presented that really hits home. It’s one of those pieces that stays with you long after you've finished watching. What do you all think? Does anyone else find this as striking as I do?
Put Paul van Dyk on the list... he’s absolute festival vibes! :klap:
Journalists' take on live shows in Music ·
Megan Torres said:Look, forgive me, but if my actual job is to cover concerts, why on earth should I be paying for my own ticket?! That’s like a clerk at the Post Office having to pay out of their own pocket for office supplies and envelopes. 🤷

This isn't about selling out; it's just how the industry works. What are you even talking about?
The promoter gives you access, and in exchange, you promote the show and write a review.

I haven't seen it done that way before... mostly because I buy these newspapers myself and end up reading total garbage written by some journalist who was basically paid to hype the event and the promoter rather than actually writing a critique. That's why. When you pay for it yourself, the review is actually constructive.
