Sign me up.
Gustafsson is more Punk > > than 95% of the rock posers out there. Same goes for Grandpa Brockman, Paal, and Massimo Zujic.

They were just cranking up the amps regardless of what the volume was set at. At least, that’s what he told me when I asked him to turn the music down a bit...🙂
Buying a concert ticket means accepting the risk that the show might suck. For me, Andre was a total disaster. Neither my first nor my last time seeing them. I walked out after four songs. No big deal. And if anyone is actually $23 feeling sentimental and wants them back, maybe they should try hitting the flea market instead of going to shows. At least there, you can haggle over what you paid.
AllMusic puts it this way: "The truth is, The Black Parade exists to drive a wedge through the In Flames fanbase. Tracks like 'touch of red' and the opener 'F(r)iend' are their heaviest riff-driven tracks since Colony. They stand in stark contrast to 'The Quiet Place,' which is loaded with flowing guitar melodies and a massive, heavy chorus that—in a fair universe—would be a massive rock radio hit."
If you don't like it, there are plenty of other things to listen to.
The first US Maple album with the long hair—that’s the most rock-and-roll vibe they had. It was a string of hits too (hey king, letter to ZZ Top, magic job, when a man say ow...). Then you have the second one, the Sang Phat era; it's totally gritty and honestly my favorite. There was this moment where they basically let Wiz and Lutembaker crash the studio just to finish the track... Talker is a bit more mellow, but still great. They lost their edge on those last two. Live, though? They're absolute masters. There's a chance you might not dig them 🙂...
I haven't listened to any metalheads since the AM era, so I wouldn't know.
