I won't start a whole new thread for this, but if you're looking for something to do this Thursday night before heading home, head over to Charlie's near the downtown area. There's a surf punk rock band called THREESOME playing, featuring our buddy Uros from that Chicago outfit Cut Self Not.

Guys, grab some drinks—think Man or Astro-man style? The venue is pretty low-key. Show kicks off at 6:00 PM.

I don't get why everyone is being so paranoid about this guy (regardless of how much Lalet had going on with Zea LOLZ). His vocals are solid, and he fits right in with the band and that whole African punk vibe they've got. You have to give people a chance. For instance, I drove out to Austin and back today and didn't kill myself or anyone else.

The Ex often end up in weird lineups... I honestly thought they’d be whispering when she left, then there was that period after the bassist where it was just them with two guitars on tour, and they were better than ever. They absolutely crushed it back then.

It'll be good. Can't wait. 😍

As part of the Ivica Baričević exhibition at the Swamp, we’re hosting one of the bands he helped build from the ground up—a group he was close with as both a friend and a collaborator. We're talking about old friends, the band Peach Pit. They'll be performing a set featuring new material alongside some of the older tracks originally released on Bar's labels that he held dear. This time, Peach Pit is hitting the stage as a trio (bass/drums/guitar), a lineup they've used to rework both old and new songs. This means you'll hear the new stuff live for the first time, and some of the classics won't have been played live in over a decade...
