Look, lady, I was just checking if there were any replies. Since you canceled Samael and aren't even booking Napalm Death, I figured I'd see if there was any actual time set aside for communicating with the fans...😁

Melissa Jackson31 said:Can you explain this? I don't get 😕 what exactly was wrong with the Nile show?? (seriously asking, I'm *confused*)
Here, I'll copy-paste a summary from another forum:
I don't think this is about the Middle East; it’s just about the reach and judgment of individual promoters. This happens everywhere.
I don't understand why Nota didn't hire standard venue security instead of those aggressive thugs who clearly have zero respect for anything other than mainstream pop, whose brains seem to be a total mess—kind of like that risotto-quality sound we heard earlier.
In my experience, venue security guards are great people; nobody ever has issues with them, and they've seen enough metal shows to actually understand the scene.
I don't know what the hell Pistachio, Hum, and the rest were thinking, putting on such a sloppy concert in an industrial zone with zero promotion, no respect for the band from Mexico, massive delays, no catering for the performers, and no actual safety for the crowd, not to mention everything else.
All the current metal promoters (Twilight, The Fillmore-Metalsound, Magnifying Glass, Uriel) do a fantastic job, but Note to watch out for future organizers. If the club hadn't been decently packed last night, the whole thing would have been a disaster.
Basically, the concert at the Boogaloo industrial site, with guards beating people and sound that barely exists, isn't a concert—it's just stealing money from an unsuspecting audience.
I’m worried about Arsomnia being the ones organizing the Napalm Death show at The Fillmore-Metalsound. Aside from the venue itself being a questionable choice—bad acoustics and all that—their management could really ruin the night, just look at how they handled Nile... We can't do that to Napalm Death 😢 ...
is Arsomnia just the successor to the group Brown used to organize? seems that way... Charles Bishop702 handles their PR, both here on the forums and in person🙂
and it looks like they’ve adopted Blacker's old business model too🙏
I should probably have Jakica write a poem about me—you know, a man with some deep emotional baggage. First off, I’ve been told more than a few times that I’m actually an incredible cook, which is just one part of being a total catch 🤮 ...
I’m planning on catching Metallica too, but honestly, I’m more excited about this. I’m really hoping they bring the show back to a proper cinema studio instead of some trashy venue in Brooklyn where the drums are so loud they actually blow out your eardrums, haha

You guys actually caught me off guard. I don't know what happened with Toljag, but last night he was totally in the zone—steady hand, perfect timing, the whole deal. He’s a pro, for sure. Even when he messes up, it just feels part of his persona, especially with the glasses and the hair. Haha
Regarding the matches, I've already made my stance clear. They went from being one of the worst bands on the planet to a pretty solid group in just a few months. If they could just tighten things up a bit, shorten the songs, and make them punchier... maybe some tougher women on stage, like a Joan Jett vibe, would be cool too.
Last night's concert was solid. Live rock music always hits different. Of course, those preppy types from the local country club absolutely crushed it like they always do, and I honestly feel bad that my crowd chose to head to some trendy lounge instead of sticking with rock.
Since we’re talking about "trends" and my supposed "prejudices" from my first post, Peter and I were walking home after the show. In the dark near the venue, this figure starts approaching us—just a silhouette, really. The guy looked like a tiny little dude sitting on stools; his legs looked thinner than mine did after two years of rationing during the war. I turned to Peter and said, "Check out this guy, he looks like he belongs at one of those hipster clubs," when suddenly, about five feet away, this guy who looked like he stepped straight out of a 🙏 grunge band with massive rave mustaches, a weird haircut, and a leather jacket comes barreling toward us.
You call yourself a man, but you aren't exactly lean, you're wearing tight pants, rocking those dated mustaches, dressing poorly, and sporting a haircut that looks like your uncle did it yourself... and yet you're still looking for something better to do on a Thursday night? You're acting like a girl, wanting to head out and party with actual cool guys?
Then get down to the rock concert in Chicago!
On 12/12/08 at the semi-circular arena, everyone knows WCIF will be playing. So there it is. Come to the show. I think it's free, too.
