I actually finished Crime and Punishment too. That one was a bit easier for me. But Anna Karenina? That was the first book I physically couldn't finish. And I used to be one of those kids who actually tried to get through all the required reading. Honestly, that book was the turning point where I officially stopped being a diligent student and started just skimming everything 😁

Maybe take a closer look at the GPU slot? If your motherboard has a second slot, try swapping it over there and see if that fixes it.

If it won't even boot to BIOS, you can't blame Windows or some buggy driver. Something's definitely acting up with the hardware itself.

The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 will handle video games on decent settings without breaking a sweat.

I’m not messing around with that. They should just pull out the card they're using now, install the drivers for the one they’re actually selling, and then let you do your thing on the PC. Honestly, I wouldn't even want to deal with that headache myself.

And don't even get me started on the prices. I'm looking at that Dell mini tower, and I remember grabbing one just like it from Badurini last year for only $227. These guys are asking almost double!

I don't even know. I've dealt with those old Dell towers where you can't even fit standard cards in them.

No way that’s gonna fit in a microtower. You need those special cards made specifically for them because the slots on the case itself are shorter than standard ones. Plus, those custom cards are usually way more expensive, so wouldn't it be cheaper just to find a decent mid-tower case and move everything over?
That's honestly the biggest headache with those office mini-towers. Every single upgrade is limited by how much space you have. I dealt with the exact same thing recently and just fixed it by moving my motherboard and everything else into a regular case I had lying around.

So, she didn't even pick from the actual list? Honestly, I'm not even surprised. He's just lazy as hell.

Is Waitapa on the required reading list, and what grade is it for? My kid is in 6th grade and hasn't even touched Waitapa yet, though I honestly feel like every kid should read it. Just waiting for a gap in her school assignments to talk her into it. I actually stumbled upon a copy of Waitapa at an Interliber shop for $6.75 😁

If you’re swapping out your motherboard, you might as well upgrade the RAM too. Just toss the old stuff on eBay and grab something newer.

I went through all the required reading from her first and second grade years. Well, my daughter read them too, but I went through everything just to make sure she actually caught the point. Honestly, I feel like our school's approach to this stuff is totally backwards compared to what most parents expect. Kasnijensam eventually just backed off because it was obvious she could handle it on her own. Now that she's in 7th grade, I just check in occasionally to see if she's keeping up. But man, her teacher is so disorganized about it. They’ll forget to assign anything at all! One month they had two books assigned, then in December, there wasn't a single one. No yearly list, nothing uploaded to the school portal... it just makes the whole thing feel pointless.
