The lottery gave me 7.5 on Utah vs. Golden State, so I took the action, but... 😢 one more point would have done the trick.

Then again, following the usual logic—whereby games take on a completely different shape than what we predicted on our betting slips—it looks like Utah is going to run wild here. 🤷 Plus, I suppose it might finally be time for Golden State to get a win for once. Well, good luck to us all.

It’s funny how some people go for full-on embalming, while I guess even one of my "Eastern" verbs managed to make an appearance. 😍
I guess losing Grant Hill for the rest of the season is a massive blow for them. He’s such a solid defensive presence, and honestly, he always seems to knock down that clutch three when they really need it.

I can't say this brings me much joy. Poor little thing. 😢
I’m leaning toward Chris Bosh under 17.5 points. I guess it’s a bit of a toss-up, but maybe the numbers just aren't there for him to hit that mark tonight.

My "expert" analysis leads me to the same conclusion regarding this pair. I'll go ahead and confirm that.

It looks like graniteotter6 has been cleaning out the bettors lately.😍I suppose it would be nice if the rest of us actually saw some kind of windfall for once.😉

Look, guys, nobody here is actually defending copying someone else's picks. My wins don't somehow invalidate yours, either. Besides, I mostly just play these obscure parlays that hardly anyone even touches. 🧐 😍
I’m looking at the Denver-Phoenix matchup. I think we might see the total land under 210.5, specifically if you can find it around 1.85. It's just a hunch, though.

My "expert" analysis suggests this pair is a lock. I’m calling it.
I'm leaning toward Jamison to go over 15.5 points, given he's sitting at about 1.85 odds. It feels like a reasonable play, though I suppose it depends on how the rotation shakes out.

I’ve been giving this some thought, and honestly, it’s a bit of a toss-up. I guess it could go either way.

Here is something to chew on, I suppose. Roughly like this:

The Warriors have some serious momentum right now. They’ve been grinding through tough matchups against the Lakers and Memphis, and they just managed to take down Minnesota. Next up is Utah, a team that always seems to be a toss-up for them—they either dominate or struggle through a nail-biter. Either way, covering the spread feels like a piece of cake to me. I guess we'll see, especially since Devin Harris's status is still up in the air, which might change things...
If you’re too chicken to touch the spread, then maybe just take the under on the Over/Under at 106.5.😁

So, you're saying Dallas is under 99.5? What kind of action are we looking at there?
Well, thanks for that. From what I can gather, the champions are in absolutely abysmal attacking form right now. You only have to look at that massive 75 to 5 blowout against the Dinars playing for the LAC—yeah, right. 🙄)
The I-95 matchup against an already exhausted Memphis squad on a back-to-back-to-back stretch. Last time these two met in Dallas, it was a nail-biter, ending 97-94.
wiredcanyon39, I’ve got my sights set firmly on this specific pairing today. 😍

Also, regarding that first "read," I think Indiana over OKC might be a bit of a stretch. After that stellar fourth quarter against the Knicks, the Pacers seemed to completely deflate against those massive Raptors. This is a rivalry game; everyone wants a piece of the Thunder, and in a high-stakes matchup like this, they aren't going to get anything for free without getting a little bruised up on defense.
Then again, a straight-up win for OKC wouldn't surprise me. They've already dropped two games this week, which feels heavy for them. Honestly, I wouldn't rule out a two-point spread; I'm leaning toward something like 90-101.

edit: Garnett vs. Boozer at 12:12—since it didn't hit, at least it didn't completely tank. 🧐

graniteotter6 said:I swung by Pinnacle and was actually pleasantly surprised by the Orlando Magic +3.5 handicap, so I took a shot at a 3.65 double. Whatever happens, happens—you've got to take those chances sometimes. 😁
I paired it with a Boston Celtics over 84.

uh-oh, right here too, after all that stress.

Anyone who doesn't rewrite this is a total amateur!

4 days in a row, and counting...

Hey everyone, things are getting a bit messy out there; our momentum just sort of fizzled out, and the Wall quietly and subtly took control during the away game.😲
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Honestly, what a gift from those guys at +3.5.
I’ll just tack on another ☕ and I won't even mention 😁 anymore.
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
You really wrapped yourself up in all that, huh? And here I was thinking I actually knew you.
Hey, what if Nate Monroe ends up getting some minutes because a blowout seems likely?
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Aha. Wait, are we talking about the same Chandler who skipped the game in Philly? Good grief, his performance there was absolutely abysmal.
Now let's see what this loser was actually thinking.
Let's ask him: hey, Daniel Robinson5, what were you actually going for there—Deng or Pierce?
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
I doubt I'll even see Deng play if he actually decides to show up, so I decided to pass on him entirely.
Honestly, I really hope I'm wrong about this.

Now I'm just sitting here wondering if that Orlando +3.5 is going to hold or not, since they clearly look capable. It's a shame I didn't stick with the 15; this three-point spread at the end has me worried they might gain some unwanted momentum.
I'm not even watching the game live—well, I am, but I've barely seen anything. He's only taken two shots so far. What on earth is happening out there? 😲
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
There's no point getting worked up over this; it’s only 19-15.
@Daniel Robinson5/">@@Daniel Robinson5 K.C. Johnson is obviously tearing it up right now.😉
I can already see these endless adjustments being made just to stretch this out to a 3:29 finish, all in the interest of keeping the series going.🤦
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Dammit, nothing from the Orlando +3.5 spread; I ended up taking the two on Orlando Magic vs New York Knicks instead.
But, I’ll say it again, it was worth the shot.
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
@tsig - well, two are already down, I guess, but thanks anyway.

@bounzi - there’s no room for sentimentality here; you step over anyone in your way, no matter how much we might actually like them.😍
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
In the Boozer vs KG matchup, things have leaned toward Boozer all three times they've met this season during Chicago - Boston games. Two of those matchups saw him clear the 20-point mark, while the third ended 12-8.
My gut tells me KG takes this one 12-8 today, so I might just take the duel at
.
As for Magic - Knicks, I'm looking at the over. No specific reason, really—just a feeling. Whatever I pick, it usually ends up going against me 🤷. That’s just how it goes with Orlando; it’s not just my luck.

Honestly, I’m just waiting for someone to bail me out like they did last night with that last-minute tip. I went all-in on Phoenix at 2:59 AM!
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Even without that tip from bounzov, I ended up swinging by my sportsbook and actually had a pretty pleasant surprise. I took the Magic +3.5 spread and put some money on the two-way at 3.65. Whether it hits or not, you just have to take those shots sometimes. 😁
I paired it with the LA Clippers and Boston going over 84.
Honestly, if it loses, so be it—I figured I couldn't let this opportunity pass me by.

Nicholas Chase34 said:There are actually some decent NBA picks today, like Mel over 23.5 and Pierce under 19.5.🙂

So now you’re basically trying to nudge us toward those plays between the lines.😉
The heavy under has played out in both matchups between Washington and Detroit this season, and I suppose it’s probably a similar story for Chicago vs. Boston (across three meetings).
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
I have to admit, I actually prefer these days when there aren't a ton of games on the schedule.
I find it easier to stay focused on one specific matchup. When the slate is packed, things just get chaotic: you start overthinking everything—wondering if a certain player will miss too many shots, checking who else might struggle, or deciding to take the under because a specific guy is playing for a certain team. You start obsessing over whether a 10.5 line is too high or too low, and before you know it, the whole process just falls apart.
Today, I think I’ll experiment a bit with player props, since the projected point totals feel pretty much right where I'd expect them to be.
The 203.5 total for the Spurs vs. Clippers game feels like my biggest red flag.
The Kings tend to throw points at whoever is available, whereas the Clippers play a more structured game—though, to be fair, they had one of those "unstructured" nights last night.
I'll probably end up landing an under somewhere.
NBA Betting: Vol. 2 in Betting Forum ·
Thinking about today’s matchups last night, my mind went straight to Mel, and I pegged him at around 24.25. So, I suppose he'd just need to clear that 23.5 line.
Just like Monroe, who managed to hit the over in two straight games—barely scraping by against Charlotte in OT, but then absolutely crushing Orlando by 20 points earlier.
I might consider taking the over tonight, assuming Prince is available on the board; if he is, he's probably my pick.

graniteotter6 said:Honestly, today's lineup just isn't hitting the mark for me. It’s really not working at all.
I did notice one thing: the line for Philly is sitting at 1.3. That feels high—really high, in my opinion—and almost like a bit of a decoy. With the Atlanta spreads looking like 12.5 and 19.5, I suspect there’s some maneuvering going on behind the scenes. Something feels off here. I might place a bet, but I’ll be playing it very cautiously.😁

There was also another ticket that Philadelphia got crushed on by a single result. 🤦
I suppose I managed to talk myself into this one. Honestly, if nobody had given me the heads-up that it was just a cover, I probably wouldn't have gone through with it. 😁).
graniteotter6 said:Good grief. Nowitzki going under? That’s the first thing that comes to mind, I guess.

☕
graniteotter6 said:I’ve got a position on the New Orleans under 95.5. I have my paperwork filed. No explanation provided, I suppose.🤷
Maybe it’s because those overhyped Wolves have been such a disappointment lately, but I might actually put my money on the Warriors at +12.5. Even if they struggle early on, I suspect the guys will keep pushing and making life difficult for the bigger teams right up until the final buzzer.
The Lakers shouldn't be able to close a gap larger than nine points, assuming they even manage to pull off a win at all. I suppose proving something on your own home court is the ultimate litmus test for any team. At this rate, it’ll either be an egalitarian blowout or just another typical Lakers struggle.

It’s been all day and I haven't seen Kris Polatsek listed on any of the betting sites. I suppose even the universe knows he’s an "under" play today, though he’ll probably still find a way to surprise us all by dropping 21 points anyway.

Coffee time.

That bit of information actually helped me close the day in the green. That makes three days in a row, I suppose.
Thanks!

Miami under 99.5
ATL-CHA over 186.5
PHX-UTA over 200.5
And I guess I was just one basket shy of hitting my Milwaukee play. 🙂

I still don't quite follow your point.😂

There isn't much to understand since I wasn't even talking to you; if you read a bit more closely, you'd see I was responding to shadowtrucker78's post.

I suppose recommendations are really just a crutch if you happen to miss a couple of plays here or there. If someone actually provides a solid analysis or a legitimate argument, maybe you can pick up a trade you might have otherwise overlooked.
Ultimately, though, the call has to be yours and yours alone—after all, it’s your money on the line.
