My bad, I actually meant the actual levy order itself—you know, the paperwork you pick up at the local Post Office.😁

Karen Bishop2 said:I am seeking some advice. Five years ago, I agreed to co-sign an auto loan. Up until two months ago, the primary borrower was staying on top of all payments perfectly. Now, they’ve informed me that I need to go to a local bank and set up a protected account because my paycheck of $867 is at risk. From what I’ve read, it seems impossible to establish that kind of protection before the funds actually hit my account. The total debt currently stands at 3 $0.00 (due to two missed payments). My question is: am I responsible for paying off the entire remaining balance of the loan right now, or just the overdue amount of $1000? Additionally, if the primary borrower finds employment in the meantime, does the situation revert to how it was? Does the primary borrower simply resume their regular payment obligations as they did before?
John Clark6 said:Well, if you’re asking whether the debt collector sends you a heads-up—they don't—not if you miss the window to appeal. Once that happens, a copy of the garnishment order is sent directly to your employer's payroll department to be executed... so, I guess the only person who might actually give you a subtle hint that things are getting serious is your boss, letting you know they received the order and will be deducting it from your check...
John Clark6 said:Lion, look... if you're complaining about a garnishment order, you really need to attach those payment receipts—and I mean, is your residency even properly registered? You can't just talk your way out of this one; you have to file a formal appeal. If you let the deadline slip by, you're just going to end up looking foolish later... with legal stuff like this, there's really no such thing as a casual conversation
.
ps. @Amy Williams2, I honestly have no clue what kind of mail you received, so maybe could you clarify things a bit? I don't think anyone gets a heads-up saying their wages are about to be frozen, right? Did you actually receive an official garnishment order? It shouldn't be all that hard to tell the difference between that and just some random notice 🙂?
feralhawk30 said:Hey everyone. I could really use some expert advice here because every single branch of Chase tells me something different. Here’s the situation: I’ve had this old debt hanging over my head for ten years, and I had no idea it would balloon up to $8333. Yesterday, they wiped out my entire paycheck because I didn't set up a protected account in time. So yeah, my account is frozen. I asked the bank if I could just take out an unsecured personal loan for the full amount to settle everything at once and just pay them back in monthly installments. A woman at Chase told me that’s impossible because my account is blocked—she claims they can't deposit the cash into my account, nor can they hand it to me in person. Now, that part makes zero sense to me. Is it actually in their interest to keep milking me for interest instead of letting me clear it, or is this just incompetence? If Wells Fargo approved the loan, they could just automatically pull the funds from my account to settle the debt; I don't see where the bottleneck is. Do I have to open a protected account first so Chase can deposit the cash, which Wells Fargo then uses to pay off the balance, or how does this even work? Honestly, I'm losing my mind dealing with these tellers; I feel like I learn nothing useful. Every branch gives me a different story. I’m heading to a different branch tomorrow because clearly, the people at this one don't understand what I'm talking about. Thanks!

I'll say it again: if this thread needs a psychologist, we can easily bring one in—you really don't need to question anyone's motives for posting on a subforum, or go on about potential masochism and insist that you just don't understand a certain person. Someone will understand, if it ever comes to that. And I'm not really leaning into any "us" or "we" rhetoric here: everyone is speaking for themselves, and my last two posts were mostly directed at your own comments. Besides, if the discussion is about something, as you claim, then drifting, as you put it, isn't really appropriate in this context. Maybe scroll back through the thread a bit and see everything that’s been said regarding that aspect, and who all participated.
hollowtrucker77, I think we've finished our conversation. There isn't really a way for you to insult me more than you already did back when you were making a fool out of me, ignoring me, banning me, and blocking my access to the site, no matter how hard you try.

I suppose I could point out exactly which parts are problematic. But honestly, it doesn't feel fair, and I don't see much point in trying to explain myself or defend my position against that kind of hostility.)

You basically sank the entire thread just to take a shot at a few of us regarding small and thin dicks. Real classy move. Let’s take this public (!!!) They post those photos of themselves, basically implying we're all ugly if we don't fall in line. It’s such a cheap tactic. Look, setting that aside for a second—I haven't even been part of this conversation for the last few pages or so. I was totally out of the loop.
You think this is how a decent person behaves when they're arguing on LIES? 🤷
I'm not even talking about that specific post. I mean the whole strategy of baiting people with a post just to trigger a reaction, and then showing up later to whine like a total PZK.
If you can't handle a little verbal ping-pong, go find some other sport where you can shine all by yourself while an audience claps for you.

First off, let's get one thing straight: this thread didn't sink. You can easily check the timestamps on my post versus the last one if you actually bother to look. So yeah, you're just making stuff up.
I suggested we all post photos—not because I wanted to prove everyone is ugly, but to show that we’re all just normal people. I wanted to cut through the constant mocking of anyone who isn't "blessed" in certain departments (if you can even call having a small and thin dick a blessing), but clearly, my attempt at demystifying things was a total bust.
Look, Pljesak—I am definitely not the one for you. Anyway, that bit at the end of your post? Total classic. That awkward moment when you overstepped way too far into someone's private business, right? 😉
Thanks for the suggestion, but there’s really no need for that Whereabout.

Lisa Hernandez3 said:My suggestion was somewhat sarcastic, though I suppose not entirely. If we are going to read something that carries a psychological undertation—you know, things like "you're just complaining" or "are you a masochist?"—then I would much rather it actually be decent material for a discussion. The example I commented on just isn't that. It doesn't necessarily have to be academic, but I do expect some level of substance from what is written. I don't really get the sense that part of this conversation is aimed at actually resolving the issue, which I guess is why people keep dragging psychology into it. In fact, the core of the debate feels a bit flawed. Especially if you find yourself caught in a loop—or whatever the phrase is these days—then there should be a point where you finally just stop. I haven't read the entire thread, so I can't say for sure how much you personally contributed to or triggered the situation, but it seems certain that you have a point regarding certain aspects. I agree that, first and foremost, this is really about communication styles.
Even if you’re using political correctness as a framework for your arguments—and I realize some of what you're claiming might just be pure theorizing at this point—the core takeaway should still be obvious: I suppose, ultimately, you’re trying to achieve something positive. All of that shouldn't serve as an excuse for the constant mocking, which really shouldn't have anything to do with whether or not you're being a "PC whistleblower." And let's be honest, you aren't; after all, this subforum exists specifically for that purpose, and you’re simply doing exactly what you're permitted to do under the rules. Now, a different issue arises if your "politically correct" approach was actually off-topic in that specific thread—or if it drifted off-topic at some point—in which case, you probably should have edited your posts to steer them back on track. From what I've been able to observe, however, it felt like it went beyond merely proving a post was off-topic; it started looking more like you were trying to prove something about yourself. That part isn't okay.
I mean, I'm not entirely sure—but either way. 😬

Nothing less than "monstrous," huh?
This has absolutely nothing to do with language translation. You guys really stepped up... Condescending. Just like on that other thread, I gave you guys my answer, took the hit, and moved on. But instead, you all just keep dragging this out, obsessing over some "monstrous trail" of nonsense. And of course, in the very next post, you’d probably find the energy to write another damn essay about it. Seriously, what actually drives you people to do this? There’s this specific way people use the word "handicap"—treating it like some kind of inherent obstacle or a built-in disadvantage. It’s a shame, really, because that’s exactly how people view anyone who doesn't fit the mold: the overweight, the short, the too muscular, or the too skinny. They just see those traits as flaws that hold you back.
Yeah, it exists. Discriminatory language. It’s everywhere. Honestly, it’s exhausting. What do you even call people like that? "Handicap enthusiasts"? Except they aren't actually handicapped, and they certainly don't have any centimeters to speak of. Thanks. You're just proving my point: if you flip that logic on its head, you're basically admitting that Mark actually has a legitimate reason. Just looking back at everyone's takes. Then there are the people whose profile pictures prove they aren't exactly "just average Joes." Aside from being a total headache for Mark, it’s just weird when someone uses their physical appearance as a way to validate the opinions they post on this forum.
Everyone on these forums seems to be "gifted" in their own special ways. It comes up all the time in threads like this one. Obviously, it’s not a universal rule, but you definitely see those weird patterns where the ugly guys are actually good-looking, or the weak ones turn out to be strong. That’s why I even brought it up. Besides, I only wrote that post because I was honestly pissed off at how pathetic the moderation has been over the last few months. If the mods actually did their jobs, these discussions wouldn't even exist. By the time I finally posted on page 16, a whole barrage of provocations and mockery had already gone down—only it wasn't directed at me, it was all aimed at von Teesa.
Another woman on this forum just went through the exact same treatment.
Then some guy gets banned on the exact same thread—just because he didn't parrot the OP's opinion. He was just pointing out 286 different ways that having a small and thin penis basically means you're lacking functionality.
And now we just wait for someone to take the bait. Honestly, it feels pretty much in line with how this place operates. 🤦Finally. Even if you actually buy into that whole "average looks" theory you’re typing out right now (which, to me, looks like a massive izmicaus after you blurted out something stupid in a moment of weakness).
Yeah, I said it in a moment of stupidity.
Then I reported the insults.
But nothing happened. No moderation response, even though they move lightning fast whenever someone directs an insult toward them.
So here I am. Explaining myself fifteen different ways in this thread to people who clearly don't want to get it.You keep insisting you're hard to rattle, that you're tough, strong, and all that—so why don't you actually show some of that supposed backbone? Instead of jumping into fights like a coward and then immediately calling in the cavalry, the police, the UN Peacekeeping Forces, the blue phone, and the society for protecting forum members from insult?
I am not repeating it constantly.
This is a thread specifically about complaints and questions regarding how the mods handle things. My original post was meant for rustydrifter10. Unfortunately, she couldn't reply immediately, so things just spiraled from there.Since you’re so hell-bent on mocking me by snidely labeling me some kind of "forum legend" (while—note well, insulting—insinuating that I personally declared myself to be some kind of forum legend and that I write from that position), let me tell you this:
I didn't say it snidely, and I wasn't trying to insult any of you. If I did, I'm sorry.
By the way, I feel pretty insulted by the way you guys are handling the discussion in this specific thread, too.

rustydrifter10 said:I'm with you on that. Just give me a little bit of time to comb through the last few pages and sort the posts out. But either way, I still feel like trying to keep both threads looking the way they did at the very beginning is going to be a bit awkward. :/
The LJES isn't going to be "stifled," I just sincerely hope that the constant insults and unnecessary provocations aren't going to be tolerated anymore. There's nothing wrong with a good joke.
As for the new mod, the current moderation team will make the call. It’s super important that they pick someone they actually click with and someone they can work alongside smoothly. Once they make their choice, the admins—and ultimately Anderlon himself—will step in to approve (or not) the decision.
rustydrifter10 said:Basically, this is the most controversial part of the whole thing, and honestly, there's plenty of it scattered throughout the PDF. I don't think the LJES community needs to tighten its grip too much here; given the nature of the topics we dive into, a little bit of casual chatting, some off-topic banter, and even a bit of lighthearted teasing should be perfectly fine—I really don't see a reason to overhaul that specific section. What I am talking about is that unpleasant side of things where people start hurling insults, engaging in nasty trolling, or just being plain old provocative... That’s the stuff that shouldn't be allowed, if you ask me. At the very least, those kinds of posts should just be deleted.
Frank Williams7 said:You're talking from a moderator's perspective here. I don't follow every single thread on LJES, so I'll take your word for it.
I just hope the toxic crap gets scrubbed (not that I'm a huge fan of banning people, but a girl can dream), regardless of which direction the conversation goes.
It’s just much easier to spot "The Weakest Link" when things get crude, rather than spotting the old-timers (what a ridiculous word). Specifically, I'm thinking about that guy "Devil in the Snow"—based on how you describe LJES, he was the perfect example: totally unhinged and constantly spamming, which is why he got banned. He annoyed the hell out of me too with his trolling, but honestly, he wasn't even the worst kid on the playground—so that's saying something.
Charles Davis88, honey, I was actually thinking of Nicholas King, but sure, I'll lump you in with that group too. 😁
I'll zapamticati the advice from Henry Edwards33, the "King" of LJES, along with the responsibility of maintaining a reputation that comes with the title. I can only imagine. 🤣
rustydrifter10 said:I’ve gone through most of this thread now, and... wow. Just, uh. Wow. 🤦
Honestly, looking back at the thread, I feel like way too many posts escaped being banned, even though if you ask me, they really should have been nuked. It was just a complete free-for-all—people were throwing insults around, trolling left and right, and hitting each other with those annoying ad hominem attacks... it was just everything, all at once. Personally, I’m of the mind that if a post doesn't have a damn good reason to stay up, it should be wiped from the board. If we actually enforced that, half of those toxic posts and the messy reactions they triggered probably wouldn't have even happened in the first place.
Personally, I don't think I’d be the right fit for a moderator role on LJES. I truly feel that the PDF deserves a much "softer" touch when it comes to moderation, but even looking at it from a leadership perspective, I think things have gone a bit too far in some places lately. Now, don't get me wrong—TetaU2 and Sophia Thomas7 are excellent mods, but we were actually just discussing how we should approach the PDF with a bit less zero-tolerance toward insults and aggressive trolling. I really hope to see that shift happen soon! That being said, my vision isn't about handing out bans for every little thing or turning the place into a sterile zone where jokes, casual off-topic chat, or even a heated debate are completely forbidden.
Just like a few of the others have been pushing the envelope lately, you’ve definitely crossed some lines in your own posts too. This whole thread is just loaded with double entendres, and honestly, you've been right in the thick of it. :/
I really appreciate all the good intentions being thrown around here, I truly do, but I feel like we’re starting to lose the plot between these two different threads. Anderlon originally kicked this one off with the specific goal of addressing a few key questions, but it’s morphed into something else entirely. It’s turned into this massive catch-all space where any member of the administration feels like they should jump in whenever they want or feel necessary. Because people are bouncing back and forth between topics so much, it’s getting harder to tell what actually belongs here, and we're definitely losing that sense of continuity in the discussions.
The core concept behind having separate threads—one strictly for questions and another for general discussion—is actually pretty solid. For a while there, both served their purposes perfectly and kept things moving along smoothly. But honestly, as time goes on, trying to maintain that specific structure has become a real headache, and let's be real, it’s getting pretty inefficient too. I haven't quite decided on my next move yet, but I'm definitely looking at shaking things up and making some changes soon.
