Look, you can pick up those much cheaper tests at any CVS or Walgreens—they’re like five bucks and work on the exact same principle—so maybe just give it another shot in a couple of days.
But honestly, if you're already running behind schedule, you might be better off just heading straight to the doctor.
Just tell him—honey, be a doll and pick me up a pregnancy test, and while you're at it, 😘

I mean, he’ll get the hint, right? 😁
I'm kidding, obviously. Just be direct: tell him you suspect you might be pregnant and that you'd really like to figure it out together.
I want you to do whatever feels right for you 🙂
analogwolf27 said:Hey everyone!! I am absolutely loving this forum, I spent all day yesterday just scrolling through everything! My period is late for the third day now... So, yesterday morning I picked up a Sign jeftin test and it was negative. But then in the afternoon, I tried a Clearblue and it showed a minus, except there’s this vertical line that’s barely there—like, you'd need a microscope to see it! The instructions say not to trust any changes after 10 minutes, but!!!! A few hours later, that second line is actually much clearer! My cycle is usually super predictable too... Now I'm just totally confused. I'll grab another test in three days, but I'd love to hear what you guys think about that "invisible" line. Thanks so much, love you all!!!

Do NOT look at the test after those first 10 minutes (I am telling you this from personal experience).
I have spent way too many hours staring at those lines after the 10-minute mark; I know exactly how good it feels to see them, but trust me—it isn't real.
That is just an evaporation line, which usually becomes much more prominent about thirty minutes to an hour after you take the test.
Personally, I stick strictly to whatever result shows up within that initial 10-minute window; looking at it later just drives me crazy.😢
Clearblue is actually a pretty solid, sensitive brand, and if that second line appeared within that first 10-minute window—even if it's faint—it could very well be an early pregnancy where hormone levels are still quite low. Either way, definitely retake the test in two or three days.
Good luck!!

Look, I am truly, deeply hoping for you that this isn't just PMS—and if it isn't, then I hope you can just forget all about it and move on with your life!😁
sia😘 I am standing right there with Tyler Thomas12.

Just to be crystal clear—I have officially decided that I do not want to be pregnant.😬 Let’s get that out of the way now.🤣

P. S.
Since my previous attempt at getting pregnant didn't exactly yield any results—leading me to the very logical conclusion that if I "flip" my decision, then MAYBE I'll actually see some progress.😎

Also, I just put down the deposit for my ski trip.🤣 🤣

Yeah... that is the cold, hard truth.😬
You spend your whole life waiting, listening to your body, "enjoying" those sharp little twinges in your ovaries—and let's be real, you're basically living in suspense, praying that things finally 🤮 click 😬 just like that.
You end up throwing money down the drain on endless tests... doing them way too early, like two days after ovulation... and it just goes on and on.🙏
Rachel Walker52 said:Every fiber of my being wants to believe it—I really do—but I’ve officially thrown in the towel. If it's meant to be, it's meant to be... fingers crossed, I guess.

I'm not holding my breath anymore...
I've just decided to let fate take the wheel at this point. Besides, I've got my next paycheck coming in about ten days, and honestly, the folks over at CVS are going to start giving me some very suspicious looks given how many pregnancy tests I've been buying lately...

Let me have this one little thing to look forward to, okay? Even if it's just a tiny spark of hope...

Actually, let's call it what it is: I'm mostly just trying to comfort myself.

🙂
evangelinlilly said:claims that internal tearing happens most often because of the position—which, if you ask me, feels totally unnatural anyway—but honestly, our medical establishment here in the States still won't budge on the subject... and I mean, would switching to a squatting position actually reduce the risk? Or would you just have the "luck" of tearing everything up inside at once? Who knows. There are all sorts of horror stories out there—from midwives trying their absolute hardest (using manual techniques) only for the mother to end up needing stitches regardless.
I suppose it depends on which doctor you end up with, but frankly, I’d rather have the stitches than deal with anything else.
I just wish they would support different birthing positions instead of acting like it's a race to just get the job done and move on to the next patient... I want some humanity from them, not just feeling like I'm on a conveyor belt in a slaughterhouse.

As far as I'm concerned, the most natural way to give birth would be in water.👍
Jeffrey Cook55 said:It’s better to know what you're getting into ahead of time 😬
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? 🤣

I actually had a colleague who didn't get an incision at all—they just let the tearing happen naturally...

This is a bit of a tangent, I know... but I’ve been doing quite a bit of reading on this, and even some of the parenting forums suggest that tearing might actually be the "better" route—apparently, the tissue heals faster and there's less intense pain compared to a surgical cut... 😕

But then again, what if the tearing happens near the anus (and internally, too)?
In any scenario, I think I'd personally opt for the surgical route—assuming, of course, you even have a choice in the matter...
crimsoncrane3 said:Oh, absolutely! 😂 And if you really need a little extra "motivation," just go ahead and browse through all the threads about episiotomies on this forum—that should help you make your decision about getting pregnant in record time. 😂

Speaking from experience—it was incredibly encouraging.😬
Especially with those lovely stories over at Stork Hospitals. 🙂.
Jeffrey Cook55 said:so they either decide to induce you before labor actually starts, or you just end up tearing yourself apart trying to do it all on your own 😬

And that is my attempt at not being an alarmist🤣

Look, a colleague of mine gave birth about two weeks ago—a little guy (bless his heart), 52 cm and 4.5 kg—and she dealt with "a bit of an episiotomy and a bit of tearing" 😬 so, yeah, apparently you can have a little of both.
Samuel Diaz said:I'm telling you... I can't believe it. All five 😘

😘 love you too 😘

My hormones are just doing a number on me right now 😍
...and look, even married women in their mid-30s find themselves unexpectedly pregnant—and they aren't clueless about it either. They’ve been through it, they’ve had kids, they know how the whole process works, so how does it just "happen"? Honestly, there isn't a "how." It just does... which is why I maintain that it's much better—and frankly, more intelligent—to just ask straight out....

That is exactly the point!
There is no such thing as "it just happened." It didn't "just happen"! The only way it happens is if contraception fails, but let's be real—nothing is 100% foolproof.

I actually really resonate with this post:
The moment someone engages in sexual activity, they have to be prepared to take full responsibility if a pregnancy occurs; otherwise, they shouldn't have gotten involved in the first place.
Serpent said:🤣 Man, I was just about to chime in, but you beat me to the punch 😘

Naughty as hell—no method is ever going to be 100% foolproof, but there are massive gaps between 99% efficacy (the pill), 90% (condoms), and that 30% "winging it" disaster zone 😬 😉

The differences are absolutely huge.
I actually ended up pregnant while on the pill two years ago. Sadly, I suffered a miscarriage, and now I’m dealing with fertility issues👎

My response to Samuel Diaz might have come off a bit aggressive, but that wasn't my intention at all... it just "stank" to me like pure irresponsibility.
Jeffrey Cook55 said:well, I survived—and ended up pregnant, no less😬

🤣 😬 🤣
Alright, I’ve actually taken a moment to give your post the attention it deserves.

😬 My reasoning stems specifically from this part of yours:

Samuel Diaz said:Good God, it's like I don't know anything... you're treating me like I'm some kind of Štulhofer.Since we had those experiments back in the early days too, I'm wondering if that stuff only happens in theory or in actual practice? One thing is when control fails, but another is what I'm asking—just so there isn't any confusion... hopefully you guys get where I'm coming from.

So, that has absolutely nothing to do with this:

And no, I wasn't asking out of sheer bewilderment whether it happens; you saw that I wrote that I already knew.

Read my post one more time and you'll see that regarding protection, I've taken every possible precaution—there is zero risk on my end; I'm being super careful.

Well, you clearly haven't...
Since we had those experiments back in the early days too, I'm wondering if that stuff only happens in theory or in actual practice.

Secondly, there's no need to yell at me—my intentions weren't malicious.
My "objection" was simply because you're 22 years old, you're sexually active, and yet you're unaware of such vital details regarding that very act.
The question itself is valid, but I personally feel you should have known this ages ago. Don't you agree?
The question wasn't stupid, nor was it my intention to make it seem that way; the only thing I find stupid is how worked up you're getting about it right now.

...a girl who just asked if she could be pregnant while having her period—I should have just told her, "Oh, what kind of question is that given your age?"... honestly.

What does that have to do with the fact that you don't know if you can still get pregnant even if he doesn't finish inside you?😕

The bottom line is this: you need to use a condom before penetration, not just "at the end."
Exactly... pre-ejaculate can contain enough sperm to cause pregnancy even if he tries to "control" himself.
Self-control is not a form of protection!
And look—without any intention of being offensive toward you or your friend—what kind of question is this to be asking at twenty-two years old?
Thomas Phillips2 said:I’m jumping in to join the congratulations—welcome to the club, ladies! Wishing you all nothing but the best; soak up every single second of this journey. And, since I should probably introduce myself, I happen to be the only "non-pregnant pregnant woman" on this entire subforum. 😬 Kisses...😍

Well, you aren't alone—count me in too!😬
A "non-pregnant pregnant woman"—honestly, brilliant! At least we have a title for it now.🤣

elisabeth — huge congratulations to you! 😘
Look, I’m telling you—all you really need to do is just pay for the lift tickets and call it a day. 🙂
