Don't let this get under your skin any longer. Moon laid everything out clearly for you—honestly, I don't think you have anything left to worry about. 😘

Oh, thanks a million... I’m feeling absolutely miserable right now. I'm still stuck at the office—so no time for a proper pity party just yet—but my husband will be picking me up soon, so I'll just have to tell him he's on full-time consolation duty tonight.😳
Well, it finally happened 😢

I honestly went as far as thinking—since I had that deep talk with my husband last night and finally came to terms with everything internally—that my period would actually show up.
We’ve been so incredibly tense about this whole thing; instead of just enjoying life, we're acting like total nervous wrecks. 😬
Moon — I'm sending us both all the good vibes for our future attempts 😘

Maybe that's just what the future baby wants

And honestly, it probably should be that way 🙏

Women are such strange creatures—once we decide "no," it’s "no"... 👎
Look how I played myself... Pffft. I had that same kind of pressure, but nothing. My period didn't even really show up once it stopped being an issue—if you can even call what happened a period: just 5-6 drops a day, though my doctor insists that counts 😲 😬 and claims there isn't any more blood left to produce (just like that 😲)...
I honestly think that the more we obsess over being pregnant, the more our cycles delay themselves just to mess with us??? 😕

I’ve realized that if we aren't actively hunting for a pregnancy, we don't go looking for every single possible "sign"—those little things that are always there—and then mistake them for a done deal.
Mine is still late, but I know there’s no pregnancy there; my cycle probably just got thrown off because last month was absolutely brutal with stress—the worst kind.
I ordered an LH test so I can try to pinpoint my ovulation day, and I've also made a solemn vow to myself and my husband that I am done with what I did this month—testing almost every single day. I completely lost sight of 🙂 the goal 😬 and the idea that we should just enjoy ourselves instead of living under this crushing pressure of "will it happen this time?" Because, let's face it, it probably won't. You know what I mean, right? 😁

Look, I’m from the Midwest—straight-up heartland—so I honestly have no clue what you're even talking about with those spikes. 😎 😬

Yeah, I think she mentioned being from Washington, D.C.
Well, I’m an American through and through myself—though these days, I tend to run in circles with folks from all sorts of different backgrounds. 😬
crimsoncrane3 said:So, where did Moon child vanish to? She was panicking her head off yesterday, and now—nothing. Not a peep.

Moon, just go take that test... and do it in the morning (if you haven't already).

And one more thing, Moon—I think you might be a little too young to have a son-in-law. 🙄 😬 (You mentioned earlier that you were heading out with your sister and her husband to take that test...)

Seriously though, where did she go??

A son-in-law—well, your sister's husband is your son-in-law (just as he is to your parents), just like your brother's wife is a daughter-in-law.😉

Basically, she meant her sister and her sister's husband.
Benjamin Nelson8 said:Jesse Flores842, did you make it to the OBGYN yet?

Unfortunately, no. They didn't get me on the schedule until next week.
To be honest—I’m actually a little spooked by how long the delay is—but I suppose it isn't unprecedented, even if it's never been this egregious before.
It’s that constant sensation where I feel like I’m about to have an accident at any given moment—it’s just... constant pressure. I know those can be pregnancy symptoms, but here we are: this is my third test today and it's a solid negative.
Moon, please don't get so worked up! Honestly, it’s just not good for you—under any circumstances. Hang in there.😘

Anyway, just wanted to give 😬
an update. There was no amount of bleeding; my test this morning was totally negative 🙄.
So, I went ahead and ordered those ovulation tests online, so we’re going to try to be a bit more "strategic" about timing things 😬
Jeremy Nelson3 said:You've got a point there, placidgardener19—that was actually the unspoken agreement between my partner and me: just live our lives, enjoy the moment, and if a baby happens, great, but we aren't actively chasing it.😍
That being said, I can't deny those nagging thoughts start creeping in once you hit 30; suddenly, the window feels like it’s narrowing, and it gets a lot harder to just "let nature take its course."😠

🙂 Hang in there!!!
😢
placidgardener19—that’s all very easy to say from the sidelines, but it’s a completely different story once we women actually get ourselves all worked up and caught in the moment.
I suppose I'll just go ahead and pay for those Aspen ski lessons then, shall I?😁
Alright, my dear, let's just regroup right here if—or when—things actually start to change.
🙂
granitefalcon46 said:Hey Jesse Flores842, you’ve still got time. I was supposed to receive mine by October 29th and—nothing. I have this constant, nagging feeling that they'll show up any second, yet here we are. I’m going to give it through the end of this week, and if nothing happens, I’m heading straight to my accountant.

Well, I am right there with you... that exact same sensation that they're just around the corner, yet they never actually arrive.
I've already scheduled an appointment with my CPA for next week, so I guess we'll see what happens then...
Snowflake79 said:Girls, I took a test when I was already 7 days late and it came up negative—even though I was actually pregnant.

😘 😘 😘

Well, thanks a million for sharing that little nugget of wisdom!
I guess there might still be a glimmer of hope left, then.😎
granitefalcon46 said:Jesse Flores842, are you even experiencing any symptoms at all?

Honestly, I am about two seconds away from losing my mind... though, given my current state, I’m basically a walking collection of symptoms myself.😠

I'm running late—it's been exactly 7 days today.
crimsoncrane3 said:Oh man, I am so sorry to hear that! 😢
If I were in your shoes—and I mean, if I were actually you—I’d probably just book an appointment for, say, next Monday with a private OB-GYN. You go in, get checked out, they give you some amazing news, you pay the bill, and you head home feeling absolutely thrilled (that's what I'm rooting for, anyway! Though, of course, there's always the chance they tell you it's a negative, and then you and your partner are right back to square one...)
Anyway, best of luck!

Thanks so much, dear. 😘
🙂 — I’m officially retiring from my career as a professional complainer...😬
🙂I put in all that work and produced absolutely nothing—ZERO!
And there isn't even a silver lining to be found...
Jeremy Nelson3 said:My dear Emma, I am right there with you—😘
I’m already seven days late; the tests are coming up negative, yet the symptoms are definitely hitting me (and they aren't even my usual pre-period stuff this time) and 😲
honestly, I’m starting to get sick of my own constant whining about it🤣
fingers crossed that we finally see a positive result😍

You know, I was just sitting here thinking how borderline neurotic this whole routine is becoming, and then—lo and behold—I realize I’m not the only one stuck in this loop 🤣
Let’s both keep our fingers crossed for a plus sign... eventually 👍 👍
crimsoncrane3 said:Jeremy Nelson3 and Emma, I really hope you guys hit that + mark soon—mostly so I have some actual company for venting, complaining, and just obsessing over everything... because all the other pregnant women I know are already way along in their journeys. They’ve already got their own "drama" and their own little circles going on, whereas I’m looking for some fellow newbies to talk to about how we're actually feeling right at the start. This is all so new to me, and honestly? I'm totally lost and have no clue what to expect during this phase...
I'm also hearing that everyone deals with nausea and feeling miserable early on, but so far, I haven't had a single symptom 😲 🙄 😕

For now, my only real issue is leg pain... mostly from the sheer tension of trying to hold off my period🤣
As for the whole nausea thing—in my neighborhood alone, there have been three pregnant women over the last year, and only one of them dealt with morning sickness around the second month. Who knows? Maybe you'll be just as lucky👍
I’m pretty sure I’m about to lose my mind 😬
Yeah, so I went out and bought a test—and, surprise, surprise, it was negative 👎
But I’m still "feeling" all those symptoms 😬
And my period is ALREADY five days late 😬
So, yeah... just needed to vent for a second... 😳
