If you just offset the apples by about two-thirds, you can make a single cut right through both of them. That way, you get two big slices for two people, plus two smaller pieces for the third person.

Honestly, I don't even mind that I gave up on trying to remember; I probably never would have figured it out anyway.

I think we all have a bit of an ego when it comes to IQ tests, especially if they happen to confirm we're actually smart. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/Fu6Cy64a...jpg&name=small

It took me maybe ten seconds of just staring at it, wondering where the catch was, before I finally remembered the SECOND solution. I guess I might not be quite as brilliant as I thought. 🕺

Well, it doesn't actually say you aren't allowed to throw away 1/4 of it... 🤣
Larry Walker24 said:I’m actually the total opposite—a complete extrovert.

I guess I'm basically an introvert. I tend to spend quite a bit of time just gathering my energy before I can really "step out" into the world, though if you saw me out with friends, you probably wouldn't even tell. Not even here on the forums. I suppose I can switch over into "extrovert mode" if I need to, it's just that I usually need a much longer period afterward to process everything and "recover," I guess. I actually really enjoy being around extroverts because they have this way of pulling me out of my shell, and honestly, not all of them are those loud, exhausting stereotypes; there are definitely some people who just really click with me.
I just stumbled upon this old video of The Choir performing "To Russia with Love" back during the Sochi Olympics. 😬 They’re honestly pretty sweet, but I think I'll just keep this one to myself instead of posting it. 😁
Larry Walker24 said:Hey everyone, does anyone else find Bubbles a bit tense? I mean, he won't even grab a coffee with me; there's always some kind of excuse 🙂

It would be wonderful (😍), but honestly, he’s such an unshakeable introvert that you can probably just forget about that coffee. And if you think he seems tense, well, maybe that’s just more reason to stay back. He stays busy, and since his buddy works for the CIA, I imagine he’d spot any weird vibes immediately. 😁
rowdytiger13 said:So, who's actually going to the coronation?
I guess Charles just totally botched everything because of some obsession with saving money—what a fool, it's almost like his mother stayed alive just to make sure he wouldn't take the throne.
Things like this happen once in a generation, you know... give the people bread and circuses. High society in fancy cars and extravagant gowns. What an idiot!

🤣🤣

I don't really follow those parasites, but things aren't looking great over in the UK; we left Brexit behind us, but over there, they're still stuck with all the divisions and unfulfilled promises, falling investment, bureaucracy strangling trade, and the rising cost of living... they barely dodged a recession, if I recall correctly. Maybe it isn't quite the right moment for those royals to show off, maybe she's trying to step onto the throne in a way that fits the current climate and everything... (though, I suppose it's probably just stinginess. 😁).

By the way, Biden was visiting Ireland, and the British press was absolutely full of toxic commentary—claiming he insulted them by prioritizing Ireland over the UK, saying the Irish are exploiting his heritage, calling him a pro-republican, and suggesting he can hardly hide his hatred for the UK and the monarchy... it was a total meltdown. 🤣

And then he had another slip-up:

Joe Biden appeared to mix up the New Zealand rugby team, the All Blacks, with a former British paramilitary force notorious for its brutality during the second day of his Northern Ireland and Ireland tour. The US president thanked Rob Kearney, a relative who played rugby for Ireland, for the tie he was wearing and then remarked to the press:

'This was given to me by one of these guys, right here. He was a hell of a rugby player. He beat the hell out of the Black and Tans'.

Biden made the remark in the Windsor bar pub in Dundalk before heading south to Dublin where he will meet politicians on Thursday
.

🤣 🙏

Here is the caricature that came out in The New York Times regarding the visit:

rowdytiger13 said:Pih... but they definitely have that artistic vibe 🙂

I wouldn't really group them in with the computer science crowd. In my experience, nature was a bit more generous when it came to mathematicians. I mean, from pure intellect down to all sorts of other seemingly random talents, including the artistic ones too, I guess.🕺
rowdytiger13 said:I see you as an artist. Maybe a painter or a sculptor who was somehow misplaced in modern-day Mexico, when you really should have been born in Paris during the early 1900s.

A mathematician (I suppose). 😍 But I also see that side of you—one thing doesn't rule out the other; if anything, they kind of go hand in hand. 👍
cosmicgull52 said:Is there just a massive influx of Putin supporters on this thread lately? Honestly, the sheer stupidity and malice coming from some people is enough to make me sick, even when I try to just ignore them. Maybe you all should stick to those threads about garden gnomes or Atlantis where you actually belong, before this country decides to send you somewhere you really deserve to be. 🙂

I'm sorry, but as a moderator, you really shouldn't allow this kind of behavior. If you decide to ban him now, he’ll just quote this over on PZK and use it to discredit you. ☕

I mean, the guy works at Mossad and he’s still making these kinds of blunders! Both Arthur and Atticus. Tsk tsk...

Happy Labor Day to everyone!

(He's alive! Daniel Kahn is alive! It's been a long story, but I was honestly fearing the worst. After the pandemic, when it felt like everything in the country had just fallen apart, I started thinking maybe it was COVID... I've had all my concert tracking sites open across various tabs for quite a while now, and then yesterday, I finally got the first sign of life... 😍 I won't get too excited since it's still two weeks away, but this feels like a start. To me, it was just about getting some confirmation that things were moving. Honestly, their website looks like it's falling apart and everything just smelled like trouble... I was worried it was either COVID or maybe the COVID vaccine 🙂)
Jerry Robinson56 said:my take:...

The titans you're mentioning 🤣 actually come from the land of Lilliput. I suppose you didn't quite grasp what I meant about stripping away emotion, mostly because we're just analyzing news reports here—you aren't exactly an eyewitness or present on the ground, especially if you aren't working in that specific field.

Does that make more sense now? ... I guess you just have to set the feelings aside and try to engage your brain.

My posts tend to be pretty personalized, so I imagine they seem a bit confusing to some people, which makes sense since they aren't really directed at them.

* do you happen to know that story about Fay when they gave her a choice?

Just think back to the fallen veterans of Snake Island ... back when everything was still alive.

Sadly, it looks like the Russians kept their word. Zelenskyy confirmed that all the soldiers fought bravely before falling while defending the island.

- All the defenders of Snake Island fought with everything they had. They died heroically. They will all be honored posthumously. We will forever remember everyone who gave their lives for Ukraine - said Zelenskyy.

...

Aha, I see. So, suggesting we shut off our emotions was really just an attempt to cast doubt on whether the attack in Uman actually happened. Maybe you could try stepping into the shoes of a critical thinker or an analyst for once; at least in this instance, the Russians aren't even denying the attack—they're saying the objective was met.
bluecyclist64 said:I honestly couldn't care less about your disgust, but it’s kind of hard to watch you lose your way like this. I mean, I guess if you try to take anything more or less from my teasing, all you’re really getting is pure paranoia...😵
I’m worried that maybe, just maybe, you’ve projected your own diagnosis onto me—so it might be best to go talk to a trusted therapist, or whatever you call those mental health professionals over there.
...

You have such a long history of calling other forum members liars, based purely on what I’ve seen in the chatroom. For instance, NevermindMe was accused out of nowhere and harassed with that claim from post to post; you accused Claude of lying about his degree because he used an American phrase you didn't quite catch (something about "coding apprenticeships"); and you even accused Arthur of lying about his background just because of his accent, which you teased constantly.

With a track record like that and the way you choose to communicate, I suppose it’s hard to say how much room you actually have left to play the joker and call someone a little liar, especially regarding whose death hit them so hard. And then there's the wondering why someone could possibly misunderstand you—well, I guess that's just life. Then there's the concern for my own mental state. It probably should have been clear, even looking back now, that this topic wasn't really something meant for teasing.

I suppose I resent that just when everything was starting to click for me, you stepped in. Even though everything is still so fresh, and you aren't responsible for my reaction or for the fact that I posted her picture, I still feel a sense of resentment toward that, and every little detail I wrote about that cat's passing in that post.
It looks like all the heavy hitters have been banned, and apparently, there’s a whole crowd of people who actually cheered for it. I was just reading about how they were targeted for their last criminal act against civilians. Even Saugaro is still hanging around, constantly posting calls to shut off all emotions. Honestly, sometimes I feel like we should just throw everything into one big pile and flush it all away.

You gave him a really solid comeback, honey.
I suppose we shouldn't just assume they aren't. It’s certainly a possibility worth considering, I guess. ☕
Arthur Sanders74 said:Here is the video. Where exactly is everyone discussing the collection of Putin's crap? Apparently, some Russian guy is talking about it.

🤣 It seems like you might have cut off mid-sentence there. I wasn't quite sure what you were getting at with that last bit! If you were trying to make a point or ask a question, feel free to jump back in whenever you're ready. I'm all ears. I guess I was just thinking about how much things change when you hit that eleven-year-old milestone. It’s such a strange, transitional age, isn't it? You aren't quite a little kid anymore, but you definitely aren't a teenager yet either. Maybe that's why everything feels a bit more intense or confusing during that stage. I suppose it's just one of those life phases where you're caught right in the middle of two different worlds. I suppose I should probably mention that leakeru has been quite active lately. It feels like they’ve been popping up everywhere, though I can't quite put my finger on why. Maybe it's just my imagination, or perhaps things are just moving faster than usual. Either way, I'll be keeping an eye on it. 🤣)
...
I think that thief posted another one of those videos about woke culture creeping into schools in the Midwest. I’m honestly just stunned! 😂 It’s like some people are only just now realizing that women can play soccer and men can be ballet dancers! lol

It feels a little bit cheeky, I guess, but hey, what can you do? Honestly, I’m all for it. I actually really liked seeing that they included the section on men's makeup too. 🙂 I mean, honestly, I feel like they really went overboard with that whole argument about women not needing permission to go out. Like, seriously, which country are we even talking about here? 🤔)
It turns out that the decade I spent going to school in America—back in the eighties—was actually a decade of the modern future! 🤣 So, I guess you're asking if things just went into reverse after that? Maybe that was the move, though I'm not entirely sure. 😉

It’s true that things have been moving, though I don't think it’s been shifting toward both ends of the spectrum quite like it has over there. It feels like the Republicans have turned into total monsters, while the progressives have become these radicalized red cells. Even the centrists and liberals seem to be viewed as everyone's worst enemy lately. I guess it's just how things are trending here. 🤣 I guess social liberalism still exists over in Europe, so you don't really have to worry about facing terror just because you didn't think exactly the way the authorities prescribed. Yours.I feel like I’m missing even the slightest bit of clarity here, especially when it comes to actually knowing who the real enemies are. To be honest, the way things are handled over there doesn't sit right with me at all—though, I guess I might not have the full picture since I don't live in the States. I tend to actively avoid these topics, mostly because they just feel so exhausting after a while.
I wonder when that might happen... maybe soon? I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Prince Mandic I guess he was just putting on some makeup. Maybe he was trying to clean things up a bit, or perhaps he was just fixing his appearance? It’s hard to say for sure, I suppose.? 🙂

I just finished reading "I Feel Like Screaming in Your Name," and honestly, I feel like just letting out a huge scream myself. It’s one of those books that really gets under your skin, you know? I guess I wasn't quite prepared for how much it would affect me. Maybe it was just the timing, or maybe it's just the way the story unfolds, but I'm still sitting here trying to process everything. It's a lot to take in.

I guess Mandic is feeling a little bit "on edge" today, if you know what I mean. He’s acting a bit like Bob lately.
Honestly, I guess it was only a matter of time before cleaning up after Putin's mess became a legitimate full-time career path. ☕ (🤣)
Kevin Jones19 said:Didn't I tell you I was going to make a run for it at the very last second? 😉

And that is honestly exactly what happened, because why settle for some basic drama when you could turn it into an action thriller instead...🤣 (🙂)
Arthur Sanders74 said:The kitchen is finally all finished! I think this year we might finally tackle the bathrooms.

Well, the kitchen is my domain too, I suppose. My better half was craving some crepes—you know, the thin, delicate kind, not those thick, heavy American pancakes—so I just finished whipping up about fifteen of them. I’m planning to serve them with walnuts, honey, whipped cream, blackberries, raspberries, and maybe even some dates... She absolutely loves to eat, yet somehow she doesn't gain a single pound! 👍

So, you guys only have one kitchen? Well, that's fine, I suppose. It works. I think I might have miscalculated or misconnected something on my end, though. (As for having more than one bathroom, that’s perfectly alright—I won't stand in the way of that, I guess.) ☕ If you happen to have a more spacious kitchen—well, maybe just keep that to yourself. Honestly, talking about it feels like way too much!

I suppose I should probably get started on this... maybe? Just some quick thoughts to get the ball rolling, I guess.
I suppose I’m okay with those so-called summer kitchens; I don't really count those as being part of the main structure.

Honestly, I feel like everyone's houses are just way too massive these days. Or maybe our places are just a bit too small... who knows, I guess. 🤷 😁
Arthur Sanders74 said:But why on earth did judo think Guns would marry BSa? 🤔

I don't think that person actually thinks anything, really. It feels more like they're just lashing out because someone who thinks they're a big deal can't handle being ignored. And then, I guess, I mentioned that I had basically reposted his last meltdown directed at Ship, which just seemed to set him off even more. Just imagine being at the level of a two-year-old having a total tantrum, only to be met with a brick wall and complete silence. Would you calm down, or would you probably just get even wilder? I suppose that's the answer right there.

Is it looking bloated because of the Mac, or just because you have too much extra space? 🤔 😬

If it's because of the Mac... I guess those MacBook Pro laptops used to be decent once upon a time, but this latest one... man, from the swollen battery to the keys constantly sticking (like, some letters just double or triple up on me, so I end up typing stuff like "heelllooo," while others don't work at all, which means I'm always having to edit my posts). I've had to take it to the repair shop maybe four times now! 🙂 And honestly, macOS has just become so tedious. It's running Monterey now.

Anyway, lately I've just been keeping the Mac in one of the rooms (sic!) with the TV and using it for nothing important—just browsing, YouTube, checking forums... whereas any actual serious work gets done on Windows or Linux.

Apple used to be such a great company about ten years ago, but nowadays, I just can't stand their laptops or the iPhone, nothing at all!
I remember having my own iPhone once, and I was practically counting down the days until I could replace it. But then again, the company just hands you an iPhone to work with! 🙂 To hell with the iPhone!

Neither the Mac nor the iPhone—I wouldn't even take them as a gift because of how much I dislike Apple. They are shamelessly overpriced (I'm sure about the iPhone, though I used to think the Macs were better) and they just brazenly bleed money out of their fans, even if it actually hurts the device's functionality. I'm feeling a bit tired right now, but maybe I'll write more about this once I feel inspired. 😁

It's definitely a case of having too much extra space (and I still remember that kitchene that your wife decided to completely remodel because something spilled in there once!!!). But I suppose I can forgive that lack of tact since you're American, it's not your fault... and besides, you're in Miami, Florida... so I get it. 🕺 😁
