It’s simple, and the logic applies to pretty much any forum on the planet: knowing what deserves a sanction and what doesn't.

Trolling is grounds for a sanction—or at least a warning when there's a moderator present. Expressivo has practically turned it into an art form.

Attacking an argument isn't a sanctionable offense. We "fight" with arguments on our respective sides—or at least we should; that’s what a forum is actually for.

Attacking a participant personally rather than their argument—that's where you hit them with a harsh penalty.

Basically, attacking people (calling someone an idiot, a psycho, etc.) instead of their points.
If those personal attacks aren't dealt with immediately, it gives the other side permission to retaliate in kind. Then you can kiss healthy debate goodbye, no matter how heated it gets, because everyone has the right to defend themselves if the moderator won't protect the space.

Then you end up with someone getting banned for their reaction, while the guy who provoked the reaction walks away scot-free. That happens when there's no moderator to shut down the provocation from the jump.

Threatening physical violence in real life—something I've experienced firsthand—is an immediate, permanent ban. No mercy.

Any hate speech or promotion of fascism is illegal under US federal law and carries serious consequences. Any forum operating on US soil needs to respect those laws and enforce them via bans.

The stuff above is universal. It applies to every discussion on every forum.
Except maybe here on Alternative.

At the end of the day, the topic doesn't matter; it's the basic rules of moderation that count, and they should always remain independent of the subject matter.

This whole forum is just a private playground for bigots.

And clearly, the mods, admins, and even the owner are fine with it.

Is anyone actually going to do something about this—or am I really going to have to take this to the FBI?

I’m asking the admins to step in regarding the threads on France and Rome—specifically to stop the trolling from moderator Powerlock and put an end to his blatant abuse of the authority he’s been given.

He’s constantly overstepping his bounds to push fascist ideologies, hate speech, and incitement to violence—all of which are strictly prohibited under US federal law and carry serious legal consequences.

I expect an official statement from the administration detailing what actions are being taken here; otherwise, I’ll have no choice but to escalate this entire matter to the relevant US authorities.

My question is—who is actually legally liable here?

As the title suggests:

Who do you even complain to when a moderator starts abusing their power—jumping into the middle of a debate they’re supposed to be overseeing, then selectively handing out penalties to anyone who dares disagree with their personal take? It’s basically driving the conversation toward authoritarianism through sheer bias.

Or is this just business as usual on this forum?
