Thanks, I appreciate it. I just don't quite get why doctors push so hard to keep everything under the limit if it isn't strictly necessary. My doctor mentioned that if I can't get my numbers back into the normal range, she’ll have me start on medication. According to her, they want my cholesterol under 5 and my LDL below 3.

According to this calculator, I have zero risk.

I really want to avoid starting medication for as long as I can manage it through my diet. How do I find out which risk group I'm in? My only issue was high blood pressure, but my meds have me back to normal now.

Back in January, I had my blood lipids checked and they were quite high: total cholesterol was 7.2, HDL 1.2, LDL 4.9, and triglycerides were 2.2. I went on a diet and managed to lose 10kg in two months, which brought my levels down to: total cholesterol 5.6, HDL 1.3, LDL 3.9, and triglycerides 1.9. Are those values somewhat okay now? I've started eating a bit more "normally," so I'm wondering if I should stick strictly to the diet. I am 34 years old, 85kg, and 175cm tall.

I went for another test after I started eating everything again. Now the total is 6.5, LDL is 4.4, and triglycerides are 1.5. HDL is 1.5. I read somewhere that you look at the ratio of total cholesterol to HDL, and if the total is under 6, the values are fine. Is that true?

Luckily, my monitor survived, even though it got bent out of shape.

If you move from a 24" to a 27", you'll definitely notice some difference.
I personally jumped from 24" to 29".

I ended up getting the 24" model that TNG mentioned. That size works fine for me since I'm just a weekend gamer.😁 My TV fell over too, but it actually survived.

Yeah, I just ordered this AOC. I've never actually used a 144Hz monitor before, so I am quite curious to see if I can notice any real difference.

What do you think? Would it be better to just stick with a 24" instead? Honestly, I was perfectly happy with my 24" setup; I wouldn't have even looked for an upgrade if I hadn't smashed it.

Hello, I am considering purchasing this gaming monitor I previously owned the 24" version and was quite satisfied with it. My main concern is whether a larger screen size would result in a grainier image when viewed up close. Also, is there anything of higher quality available for around $500 in this price range?
From what I can gather, once version 11.5 rolls out, getting an e-government portal permit should be a breeze. It looks like it'll probably be granted to anyone who asks.
So what's the deal? Under this Biden administration, are we really stuck waiting until May 11th just to travel between counties?
I am sincerely hoping that by mid-May, I'll be able to get around normally and make my way back to Washington, D.C.
Joshua Gray75 said:Well, they're rolling this out in other states too... 🤷—local municipalities are signing these "inter-agency agreements" so you can move between them without needing a permit ☕
(though in my county, the official decree hasn't hit the books yet—it’s just a proposal sitting on someone's desk...☕)

Can we realistically hope that by the end of the month, moving around within the same state will also be permitted without all these permits? 🤔🙄☕

I am hopeful that once the 1.5-month mark passes, we will be able to move around freely without needing any permits. It would be quite lovely.
It doesn't matter much to me if they open up traffic within my own county. I really need to be able to drive into the next state over.🙂 I'm just hoping it won't take too long until that happens.
My girlfriend lives in a neighboring state, so I'm really hoping they get these roads cleared as soon as possible.
How long do you think these permit requirements will stick around? Maybe five or six months, or perhaps longer?
Has anyone managed to get a pass to visit a girlfriend or boyfriend living in another city? I think I can handle this if it only lasts another month or two, but if this drags on until the fall, I just can't deal with being locked down so much that I can't see the person I love.
How long do you think this stay-at-home order might last? I have someone dear to me in a neighboring city and now we can't see each other at all. This whole measure feels totally misguided—being forced away from a loved one is just too much.

Mexico and Haiti made it to the semifinals. I feel bad for Canada.

I'm really liking this Canada squad. They just dismantled Cuba 7:0 tonight. It feels like they finally have a decent national team on their hands. I'd love to see them compete in the World Cup.
