Do you really feel the need to weigh in on every single topic? How can you be so sure when you aren't even looking at the facts yourself? 😬
Harold Wright54 is easily the biggest fan of anti-fascist activists I know—and trust me, they aren't nearly as soft as people make them out to be.

Ethan Parker47 said:I see this as nothing more than stalling and unnecessary provocation. Your critique didn't open up any doors for constructive dialogue or error correction—which is the whole point of criticism, isn't it? I base my stance on the fact that I reached out via private message to ask for your honest take on the Adele phenomenon in a very polite and respectful manner, yet you chose not to respond. As I mentioned in my previous post regarding Adele, that was merely my own perspective; I never claimed it was absolute truth. Regardless, that isn't the focus here, so I will treat your message for what it actually is: a provocation that deserves to be ignored.

When I say "completely inaccurate," I am referring to your comparison between the era when Adele rose to fame and the year '96. I'm curious, what experience are you drawing that conclusion from? When Adele was at her peak, both you and I were barely out of diapers, and by '96, you were only thirteen, so I find it hard to believe you can make that comparison. In my view, the breakdown of traditional social structures happened because of the war, not because of the rise of electronic music or the saturation of rock. At that time, Adele served as a sort of rebellion for the youth because she represented something counter-cultural—much like Billy Joel did. We also have to consider that in the early nineties, there weren't many local bands playing music that truly captured the spirit of the times. Why anyone would insist on glorifying the old guard right when such incredible new bands are emerging is something I will never quite grasp.
My apologies if my comment about stalling offended you, but that is simply how communication works on this subforum.

I call this being overly pedantic, which is also just plain incorrect
The AIDS Foundation of America is absolute garbage, honestly. Wouldn't it have been better if Bryan Adams had played instead of these guys?

Just get off the stage, you're terrible.

There’s no mocking the punk scene here, nor is there any room for those who just daydream about being some kind of punk-meets-hippie hybrid. Burn the hippies at the stake.

Someone needs to throw this one on the bonfire, especially since they’re grouping hippies and punks together in the same breath.

That leans more toward progressive rock, don't you think? 😬

Because everyone knows you're only playing for the paycheck, which is why your music sounds so sugary sweet.😛

Someone brought up Sandi Thom—she belongs on a bonfire.
The Rolling Stones—a Jewish band that covers everything about Screwdriver😂
That’s actually a pretty great name, don't you think?

Joka is a good friend of mine.
Are they just one of those gutbucket types who don't even own a guitar, yet somehow end up being played by the geriatric crowd whenever they're feeling thirsty? 😬
Jesse Sanchez60 said:Guitars are just for indie kids... if you ever hear Mac Demarco shredding some Stooges or Sonic Youth straight from the gut, you wouldn't even think about reaching for a guitar...

02/25/07 @ The Fillmore

Peter Brötzmann - saxophones
Massimo Zu - bass guitar
Paal Nilsen-Love - drums

No guitars here ☕

Overall, last night's concert was quite good
🙂 For those who crave guitars and loud volume, the Zadar residents
🙂 Seven Wonders fans might be disappointed since they aren't great
🙂 But the Peach Pit crowd will be happy because they have Bruno on guitar

I watched last night's concert through a completely different lens; I stayed sober and behaved myself, which made waking up this morning much easier than when I was hungover the day before. The lesson is clear, isn't it?
Will there be any merch available besides the DVD?

Down the stairs, when the revolution finally arrives, we’ll return women to where they belong—to the fields.
