Madonna? Absolute legend!

Barnes & Noble actually has the 3xCD version loaded with bonus remixes and the Caribou Vibration Ensemble 😁which is huge for me because otherwise you can only find it on vinyl, and honestly, I couldn't care less about records...

Some of us have actually sat through them three—okay, maybe three and a half—times 😁
Man, this whole thing is way too complicated for me; I'm just gonna head out to Coachella instead.

did they end up letting Pervan and Neso go at the end?

Yeah, they did...
Though, honestly, I was already halfway through a drink by like 3:00...

(Thermals sounded like they were some local indie band 😍)

thanks thanks, I managed to chip in a little bit too, especially with the Thermals stuff 😁 (can't even regret missing out, honestly relieved I actually made it this time)

honestly, this thing is basically responsible for one goofy internet phenomenon

there's no way you guys haven't seen some random link forwarded to you for Gary's latest 'performance piece' ?

I mean, I still don't quite get how or why The Walkabouts became such a huge thing in our old grunge scene back in the day😬

It’s just because they were on Sub Pop, man. People heard that name and automatically started spinning them.😬

You've got a good feeling about this.
Wondering if there’s gonna be any decent opening acts? Might head out early just to catch them 😬

and nobody's managed to top it since? Honestly, shame on you dirty grunge fans and Led Zeppelin video nerds!

Tipfeler, it was 2001, not 2000

Nesho and my humble self put that listening room together (I heard he actually got a red card recently, too). We originally wanted to call it 'Under the Western Freeway,' but back when Matt was putting together that booklet for the local public radio station's monthly program, he told me the title was way too long, so 'American Beauty' just popped out in a split second.

On topic: cute, though I’d definitely go with listening room no. 3

And yeah, go ahead, set up the poll—someone’s gotta count the votes later... and you're totally gonna cheat! 😬

Oh, right, October 10th, 2001.

And I bet yours won't even have a decent poster to show for it... 😛

Edit: aaargh, Tipfeler, it was 2001, not 2000

So what? I can literally see the word right here in my English dictionary.

bis – "again," "twice."

Total waste of time. Even Wikipedia doesn't have a decent page dedicated to this phenomenon 😢 Might be enough material for a PhD in musicology if you're bored enough 🙂

And honestly, why even bother? In English, what we call a bis is just an 'encore' -> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Encore_%28concert%29

Honestly, I had a blast. It felt almost like I was running my own private listening session (except I actually brought a stack of CDs just in case there was a thirty-minute gap in the set); little cutie keeps flying in and having a total meltdown every few minutes...

Anyway, the band? Total vibe. Loved them.
So, whatever happened to those "czars" everyone was obsessing over?
