Katherine's at it again... in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, you're going to see I have 7 or 8 warnings on my record linked to this group, which includes formal complaints and all that. I also have some yellow cards, which honestly feel more appropriate for standard mistakes. So, I’m not getting flagged because I’m out here insulting people's families, cracking jokes, or being aggressive. It’s usually just because of trolling or spamming, which is always a coin toss anyway—sometimes even the mods can't tell where the line is drawn.

I'd just really appreciate it if someone could explain exactly how I was being disrespectful.

I was wondering if the admins could let me know which mod is deleting my posts about those teen movies right after 11 PM?

Thanks

Honestly, I owe most of those trading cards to you. Even though you’re basically the main topic of conversation here, I didn't go out of my way to drag you into this debate. Look, am I the problem? Sure, I am. I’m far from perfect, I know that. But I’d really appreciate it if you could step back from any potential sukob interes. As a user, all I care about is getting the info I actually need, and frankly, I don't want to get into your personal motivations. Just try to be a bit more objective instead of acting like, "Oh, look at that guy constantly complaining, let me just delete his post to see if he notices a typo."

p.s. You should stand by those cards of yours—it's the right thing to do. I've always had a soft spot for women like you.;-)

I’m stepping up for the fourth time to call out crimsonsailor7 regarding a sukob interes. Honestly, for quite a while now, I’ve been dealing with constant deletions from this mod. My threads keep getting turned into PDFs, which basically strips away my right to participate on that board just like everyone else does. And look, I’m not the only one feeling this way. If you take a quick look back through the history of THIS specific PDF, you’ll see there’s an open thread explicitly asking for action to be taken against this totally unreasonable individual.
THANKS!

to be honest, I'll just get straight to the point...

So, why hasn't anyone shared any photos from the party yet? Or did I just miss them being posted somewhere already?

Hanni, I've got some different questions in mind.

So, it’s on me to ask them, and it's up to the moderator to merge this thread if they think it overlaps with anything else (though honestly, 80% of it doesn't).

There's no reason to jump in here and start asking stupid questions... ☕

I’m jumping in here to back up the complaints against the moderator crimsonsailor7. She’s been pushing her own version of right and wrong on the Law PDF for quite some time now.☕

Does this forum sell any merch? Like T-shirts, button-downs, or maybe some branded pants? Just wondering if there's anything official I can grab.

Also, I was curious if you guys ever do meetups or parties—just a big get-together for the community. Has anything happened like that before, or is there anything on the calendar? What actually happens at these things? And are the organizers the actual admins?

Speaking of admins, are they full-time employees of the company running this site, or are they more like moderators who just happen to have extra permissions?

I don't see much advertising besides that one banner at the top and the usual Google ads. It makes me wonder if the owners are happy with the revenue this place pulls in, aside from paying all the staff, obviously.

How did this place even get so big? How did it start up? Did everyone just sign up all at once and start posting, or was it a slow build? The slow way sounds kind of lonely since you'd be talking to an empty room for a while.

Might have more questions later.😁
How long do red cards last? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I honestly feel like we should be handing out yellow cards just for veering off-topic or other minor slip-ups. Obviously, being outright abusive is a different story entirely. Right now, though, it feels like trolling and actual insults are getting treated with the exact same level of discipline.

I also think we need a formal, written code of conduct specifically for how moderators handle their roles to prevent these constant disagreements. It’s kind of like the legal system here in the States—you need clear laws so they can be interpreted properly. Without that, it just leaves the admins stuck doing all the heavy lifting while users end up frustrated with how certain mods are handling things.

Because if you do, that’s probably where the issue lies.

Issues regarding my ban in Forum Help! ·
If someone actually gets banned (which I have zero intention of doing😁), where can you check how long the suspension lasts or when it’ll finally be lifted?
Also, how does the whole banning process work regarding warnings? Like, after how many strikes? Can a moderator just drop a ban immediately without any prior warnings?

I always just assumed they held some kind of higher status compared to your average forum user😁
thanks for clearing that up

I see this label next to all the subreddits, so I was wondering what it actually means, what its purpose is, and how someone goes about earning it.
Thanks in advance
I'm your Moderator, and there are no other Moderators besides me in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Man, nothing beats the feeling when someone else gets called a jerk right before me, but then the moderator decides to slap me with a warning for being off-topic or spamming or whatever. And all I did was this: I quoted a post I actually liked and just added: I'm with you on this one.👍 Fine, fine! Call it spam or off-topic if you want.

Look, I get it. Being a moderator is a thankless gig. But honestly, you really have to be careful about who you nominate for those roles. Even more importantly, you have to watch out for users making false accusations just because they can't admit they messed up and want to complain instead.
Most moderators deal with a ton of crap happening across different subforums, yet they stay professional, and I truly respect them for that. Most of the people I know in moderation are good folks and regular users too. It's just those few bad apples who turn things into little dictatorships to feed their own egos on certain subforums. To be honest, I just avoid those specific sections and don't bother engaging in debates there. At the end of the day, it's usually harder to trust a random user than it is to trust a moderator. That’s just how life works, both online and off.

And no, this isn't just another "woe is me, life is unfair" rant.🙂

You guys can use whatever names you want back home,

Sorry to jump into this thread. I don't really know Sam Green73 or Scott Hall39 personally, but reading through the posts, that one quote just kind of caught my eye. Since I noticed from the username that Scott Hall39 is from Canada, I was wondering what that's actually supposed to mean?
Thanks in advance

On top of everything else, I want to report a few things:
1. My posts, along with those from a few other users who also asked to have this thread reopened as its own separate topic, have been deleted (basically just covering their tracks)
2. I was slapped with a private warning for trolling, even though there isn't actually a post on record to back it up
3. It’s pretty obvious people are dodging my questions because they don't have any real arguments
4. The way I'm being treated on the Labor, Social, and Family Law subforum feels incredibly authoritarian and biased

All of this happened over in the Law subforum, handled by the moderator crimsonsailor7

I’m asking the admins to please take an objective look at this situation and decide how to move forward.

And if you guys think I'm wrong about this, well... goodness knows what happens then.☕

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head... I'm a woman and honestly, I just can't stand men who get awarded custody 🙄

You got your explanation, and look, it's really not my problem if you don't like it or if you think there's some kind of conspiracy against you and all men everywhere...

Yeah, maybe I exaggerated a bit at first and went on a tangent. I get it—when you're a moderator or an admin, you see a hundred different personalities every day. That’s true, can't deny it. Just ignore my comment that you just replied to; it was just my initial take, and hey, everyone’s entitled to their opinion.
Anyway, let's get back to the actual issue, which, strangely enough, you skipped over in your post.
I don't want you to take my criticism as a challenge or a provocation. I just like talking through problems with logic, and since you hold a moderator position on this subforum, I think it's fair to ask you to explain things clearly.
It shouldn't be too much to ask for a minute of your time to look at the big picture here.
The whole debate about why women seem to have the upper hand in child custody cases? That’s been a recurring issue in the American legal system for ages, and honestly, it feels rooted in sexism and old prejudices. There should be a dedicated thread for this. It's a distinct issue within American society, and having its own space would make it easier to find and discuss on this forum without cluttering other areas. There are plenty of users here who would weigh in. As it stands, people can't easily engage with the topic.
This is a social network—a forum. It should operate on principles of democracy and equality, not just serve the interests of a few privileged users running the show.
I trust that isn't the case with you. But I felt I had to point out the problem, because that's my right.
I hope you'll look into this and follow the rules to handle it objectively, or at least try to make sure it doesn't happen again.
Thanks
