Arthur Wright3 said:Nobody’s actually bothering me—I mean, even at the dentist I’m totally fine—but it just got me thinking about how people react when fifteen different strangers are staring at their most intimate parts.🙄

What do you even do when the numbers just don't add up for smaller study groups? We’ve got way too many students enrolling every year—it's honestly overwhelming.

Look, just pay a private provider—then you won't have people poking around like that. When you're at a major teaching hospital affiliated with a medical university, students and interns basically have a free pass to examine whoever they want.
Stress has absolutely nothing to do with goosebumps. I’ve already said this—it's just genetic.
Angela Sullivan4 said:Just using a cream isn't going to cut it—you’ve gotta tackle the root cause. I'm not an expert on what triggers keratosis pilaris, but my guess? Maybe you're low on certain vitamins or minerals, or maybe your diet just needs a tweak. I dealt with those tiny bumps on my arms since I was a teenager—and honestly, I made it worse by constantly picking at them. It was awful. Then, about two years ago, I accidentally started having this collagen breakfast—it's basically grains, dried fruit, and seeds—and within a few weeks, my skin looked incredible. Not a single bump left.

Look, acne and "chicken skin" are two totally different issues. Your breakouts could be caused by a million different things—it's definitely not just about what you eat.
Keratosis pilaris—or "chicken skin," if you want to be blunt—is usually something you're born with. I’ve dealt with it my whole life; it used to flare up all over my face when I was a kid, though that eventually cleared up. Now, it mostly just hangs out on my upper arms and forearms. If you're looking for something that actually works, I swear by the Johnson & Johnson lotion with 3% urea. Honestly, it isn't the end of the world—it usually starts to smooth out as you get older anyway. Hang in there 🙂

If it does, maybe I can skip the radiation and all that extra stuff... honestly, I just don't know how I'll handle a different result. I'm not sure I have the mental strength left to face more treatment.

Based on what you’ve got right now—being Figo 1 and G1—there isn't any need for additional therapy. It's just surgery. I'm crossing my fingers for you that it stays that way.🙂

Melissa Thompson45 said:Angela Wright, did your mom take any hormones to help maintain her pregnancy back then?
There's actually this thing called "DES daughters"—basically, women whose mothers were prescribed certain hormones during pregnancy—and they end up having a much higher risk for some rare uterine tumors later on.
If I remember correctly, that whole practice was pretty common somewhere between the 50s and the 70s. If you have a sister, this is something she really needs to know about.

Stay strong!

Yeah, but that's mostly linked to ovarian tumors showing up in girls between the ages of 17 and 21.
It’s really nothing to panic about. As long as the lymph nodes don't show any atypia and those resection margins come back clean, we're in good shape.

Look, please just take a breath. I read everything you wrote. First off—your tumor is Figo 1. That means it’s absolutely curable through surgery. Plus, it’s well-differentiated, which is huge—it means the prognosis is way better than those poorly differentiated ones. And honestly? The fact that they want to save your ovaries is such a win. You're still so young, and the last thing you need is to be forced onto hormone replacement therapy because everything was taken out. It would be a total nightmare. Quick question though—has anyone in your family dealt with uterine cancer before?
Fainted during a blood draw in Health ·
Man, I remember one time I felt so sick because I got stuck five times. I actually woke up in a completely different bed. Then I spent the rest of the night puking. God, I am never doing that again. 😲

Brian Martin98 said:Has anyone here ever heard of DJ Mary from San Francisco? She plays at some of the local festivals around town, and I think she actually works at a radio station over there in San Francisco. Does anyone have any thoughts or feedback? People on the DJ subreddit are being surprisingly quiet about this... thanks!

Are you talking about Mary from the San Francisco radio station?

Adam Alvarez5 said:I’ve been sitting here wondering if Holy Cross is actually the best fit for what we have in mind... at least for me, anyway. I can't quite wrap my head around the capacity requirements there. Do you think 120 or 130 guests would feel a bit sparse? I'd hate for the hall to feel cavernous or like there's just too much empty space surrounding us. Also, regarding the overnight stay—is there any sort of complimentary upgrade or bonus room situation for the newlyweds, or is that strictly extra?

When I was at a wedding there, we had about 90 guests and it didn't look empty at all. Honestly, even if I'm being a bit generous, there was still room for at least another 15 people.

Look, we definitely have that terrace—there's absolutely no reason we couldn't set up an aperitif area there 🙂 When I was working in the smaller lounge, we ended up setting everything up just outside in that little nook instead. Honestly, anything is doable if we talk it through.

You can always set up a smaller space inside when things are quiet—plus, there’s plenty of room to just set everything up on the outdoor patio if you want to.

Adam Alvarez5 said:Hey everyone, could I get some help here?? Does anyone know much about the Holy Cross restaurant on Manhattan? I'm trying to figure out their capacity, what the menu prices look like, and if anyone happened to be at the banquet there recently so they could tell me about the decor... I've been scouring the internet, but I just can't find any photos of the hall itself. Any insight would be greatly appreciated...

I was there for a wedding back in June—my cousin got married. Honestly, the hall is really nice—it's the smaller one that holds up to about 100 guests. It’s decorated beautifully, and the food was fantastic (everything felt super fresh and had that homemade touch), so definitely highly recommended!

As far as I know, none of those medications you mentioned are actually ototoxic. Is there any chance you dealt with a viral infection during your pregnancy or maybe right after giving birth?

Kevin Jones39 said:Thanks, thanks... honestly, I’ve just heard people saying they're good, but since they're probably the new kids on the block, they might not be fully polished yet.

True—it's all still pretty fresh. But honestly? They'll be the talk of the town soon enough because they're actually great. 🙂

Did anyone catch what was being said during the meetings, or does anyone actually have some intel on the Best Buy group...........?????????🙏

Oh yeah, those young, amazing musicians 🙂
So, when's your surgery scheduled? Honestly, I could send over some links if you want to do a little digging beforehand. I actually went through something pretty similar myself—after ten years of dealing with treatment, things flared up and I ended up needing surgery. Now, my doctors think I might have a tiny cholesteatoma in the attic of my middle ear.

Here are those links I mentioned...
