For sure! Honestly, it’d be even better if they just rotted from the inside out and got tossed straight into the trash—haha

Are we at our happiest as children?

Morgan Bishop4 said:And even if they don't listen, I guess you can at least feel a bit important or smug about everything you've been through, traveling all over the place. Plus, if someone managed to land a solid pension, they can definitely live it up. Though for some old folks, just existing is enough of a luxury...
Then again, kids are pretty happy because they have zero clue about how much stuff is actually going wrong around them. To them, "evil" is just a cartoon witch, or having homework, or Mom losing her cool on you. Looking back, when I was little, I hated how everything was constantly being restricted, or how people were always trying to teach me "discipline" and all that crap. And man, those moments when adults talk down to you like you're an idiot... you ask why you can't do something, and the only answer you get is "because I said so!" Ugh, that used to drive me absolutely insane...
That wasn't really my experience. They couldn't pull the "cartoon villain" or "the cops are coming if you don't finish your homework" routine on me. I realized what was actually going on in my world pretty early on—and my parents never tried to pretend otherwise. First, we moved to a completely different part of the country, and then shortly after that, I lost both my grandparents within six months. I knew they weren't coming back. Nothing felt restricted because there was no point in pretending. I was just a quiet kid who spent most of her time reading.

I honestly feel like every single stage of life comes with its own unique brand of uncertainty.

George Taylor65 said:Does anyone have any recommendations for a restaurant that does catering? Right now, I'm looking at Boban, Pimpinel, or Arkada. Has anyone here actually used any of those three? I am completely torn! 🤷
I’ve had some experience with Pimpinel, and honestly—it was great! They catered a few graduation parties for my colleagues a while back, and everything was just spot on. The food? Absolutely delicious. 🙂 Look, the price tag might be a little steep—I get it—but honestly? It’s worth every single cent.

The Bride—it's a bridal boutique located in the Muslim woman building, right on American Civil War Street. Seriously, their dresses are absolutely stunning! If I actually had the cash, I’d be buying one for myself just to wear to a concert 🙂

Pimpinella does an incredible job with their catering—I've used them before and they never miss a beat. :chef_kiss: 🙂

Just a freshman? wow. That's a bold goal, but honestly, if you actually put in the work, you can make it happen. 🙂

It’s right by that little farmers market over at the Pujanko area. You can actually find her on Facebook—just search for Keti Florist to see photos of all the stuff she makes.

They’ve been totally rebranded—that’s why you’re feeling that way. But honestly, it’s worth a shot. Go ahead and insist 🙂
Blood draws at the clinic

I think that’s actually a great setup! It gives me the freedom to decide whether I want to stick with my regular family doctor or just head over to the school clinic instead.

It isn't really cool to go around calling out specific doctors on a public forum like this. If you've got questions—seriously, just shoot me a private message—and I'll try to help you out however I can. Best, 🙂
Dealing with nosy neighbors and busybodies
in Psychology ·
There always have been, and there always will be—especially in parts of the North America where people think spending five hours a day nursing a coffee and gossiping is a full-time job. You can’t fix them. My therapy? Just give them a wide berth and don't let anyone get a single detail about your private life. Lock that door yourself and leave it at that.
