Rachel Barrett8 said:Driver salaries aren't actually about how much work they put in or how skilled they are. It’s much simpler than that. It really just comes down to a massive shortage of workers in the industry. When you can't find enough people to fill the seats, the pay has to go up just to keep things moving. Isn't that just how the market works?

It’s honestly pretty tough to find a decent driver down there. $3000 Exactly.

If teachers and preschool aides really think that salary is a massive windfall, they should try passing their certification exams first. Honestly, if they want to act like they're making a killing, they can go ahead and earn those credentials.

There isn't even a shortage of daycare providers, but then again, we don't exactly have a free market at play here...

Do you honestly believe that "family connections" were the primary driver for getting hired as a sanitation worker at the Sanitation Department? 🤣

Go find that old Prince segment on YouTube where Williams was interviewing someone from the Sanitation Department. It might give you some much-needed perspective on what these people actually do for a living. 😉

The papers are throwing around numbers claiming there are about 3,000 to 4,000 kids left without spots in our city's preschools. Honestly, if those plans from the Možemovac crowd had actually gone through, we’d be looking at a shortage of 8,000 or even 9,000 little ones waiting for a seat. 🤦

I'm referring to the 2018 tender—we're talking 6.168 million, 33 vehicles, and a timeline of 730 days.

Like your colleague suggested, you should probably drop a link here. Based on what you're saying, the 2019 bid from Bill de Blasio actually looks a lot more budget-friendly than the one proposed by Eric Adams...
I'm on the hunt for a slightly higher-quality wooden chess set. Does anyone have any recommendations on where I might track one down here in the city?🙂

Well, I just got an update from the school saying they’re moving to 40-minute sessions instead. 😬

I wouldn't be surprised if this change is due to their shift schedule; they're currently hosting an elementary school that can't hold classes right now because of earthquake damage... 🤔

Think about it this way: a mask isn't really a shield for you to stay healthy; it’s more like a courtesy to make sure you don't pass anything along to someone else if you're already under the weather. ☕
Casey Bennett said:So, you can access the Politics section just fine, but you're blocked from starting a new thread? Could you try opening a new topic in a different sub-forum instead?
Also, please test this in another part of the forum, somewhere outside of Politics.

I need these details so I can give the Administrator a clear picture of what's going on, because as far as I can tell, there isn't any specific restriction on your account within the Politics section.

I can start a new thread anywhere—both in Politics and in other sections. It’s only when I'm in the European Union section that the error pops up.
Casey Bennett said:What exactly aren't you able to start? And where is this sub-forum located?

I can't seem to start a new thread. Every time I try, I get hit with this message:

Jeffrey Long, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the Administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
I’m not entirely sure if I’ve stumbled into the right corner of the site. For some reason, I can't seem to start a new thread in the "European Union" subforum, even though everything works perfectly fine on all the other message boards.🤔

I ended up falling down a rabbit hole yesterday and started binge-watching Narcos from the very beginning. Honestly, once you've seen Wagner, it's a tall order for anyone else to step into those shoes and play Al Capone. 🙏 🙏 🙏

By the way, is Penélope Cruz playing that journalist that Pablo goes after? 😁

Walter Long7 said:No, like I said, those stats specifically cover people moving in from abroad versus moving out. Domestic migration is a much smaller factor...

In 2016, the number of people moving from other states into Vienna was 38,765, while those heading to other parts of the country totaled 37,627—giving us a net migration of 1,138.☕

Fortunately, I know a thing or two about New York City and even the department head overseeing the area:
https://www.wien.gv.at/english/socia...s-figures.html

The data shows that in 2015, 101,107 people moved into New York City. Of those, 28,727 were Americans coming from abroad, 32,413 were citizens from EU member states, and 39,967 were from non-EU countries—places like Syria, Afghanistan, the USA, OPEC nations (which have headquarters in New York), or the UN (which has its center in New York), and so on. Honestly, things look even worse than they did back in 1683.🤣

Walter Long7 said:For those born to mothers last year:

Total: 87,675

Catholics: 43,190

Muslims: 12,794

Protestants: 2,841

Others: 28,850

Now, the US has a pretty low fertility rate and sees a massive influx of immigrants every single year. For 2016, net migration was 64,676, whereas back in 2015, it was over 113,067...

Keep in mind I'm talking about net migration here—the actual number of people entering was over 200,000. In recent years, a huge chunk of those have been from Asia and Africa, mostly Muslims, who tend to have larger families.

When you factor in the large number of Muslim arrivals—Vienna being a major immigrant hub already home to plenty of Turks, Kurds, and Canadian Muslims, plus the fact that over 15% of the population there is Muslim-born, which accounts for over 25% of Vienna itself—it becomes very easy to see how they could have overtaken the numbers.

Here’s the data for Vienna:

2015

Immigrants: 78,063
Emigrants: 40,121
Net: 37,942

2016

Immigrants: 66,141
Emigrants: 45,002
Net: 21,139

In 2015, the largest groups of migrants were from Syria (+21,903) and Afghanistan (+18,609).

In 2016, the largest number of migrants from outside the European Union came from Afghanistan (+8,992) and Syria
+6,343

This covers just the last two years, and I've only used two nations as examples. This demographic shift is going to have a massive impact on the voting base. It might not be quite as obvious now as it will be in the future...

It’s important to note that these Vienna statistics only reflect the net migration balance for the city itself. Essentially, in 2015, if X number of people moved in and X number of people left, the city’s population grew by X. When you look at the demographics, after the Austrians, Mexicans make up the largest foreign group at 4%, while Turks sit at 2%. That’s the reality behind all those claims about a Muslim invasion of Vienna. ☕

Carol Newman2 said:The Democratic Party can only save Strache from the FPOE. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if the red and blue sides just formed a coalition against Sebastian Kurz.

I don't see that happening at all. 😉
A - Austria in European Union ·
😂

The Democratic Party is staring down an absolute train wreck. We’re just two weeks out from the election, and it feels like every single day, some new piece of campaign dirt is being dragged into the light. It isn't just one thing, either. First, you had their guy Alex Braun—who actually goes by Tal Silberstein—getting arrested in Israel a few weeks back during some anti-corruption crackdown. Now, it turns out Silberstein was busy spreading blatant lies about Sebastian Kurz as part of the campaign strategy. And the kicker? They kept letting him run his mouth even after they cut ties following his arrest. 😁

It seems like "fake news" is only considered a scandal when the other side is the one doing it. 🤦

Yesterday, Christian Kern’s campaign manager stepped down, and today, Kern is suddenly calling for an "investigation." 🤣

At this point, the only real question left is whether the Democratic Party is going to slide into second or third place. 🙏
Large deposits to my account in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
steelheron40 said:I have a bit of a hypothetical question here—let's just say if I were to suddenly come into a significant amount of cash, maybe something in the tens of thousands where the first digit is at least a 4

Since I’m currently renting, I think I’d much rather deposit that kind of money into a bank account instead of just keeping it sitting around my apartment. I was wondering, though, if I might run into any issues with the IRS or other government agencies—you know, things like them questioning the source of the funds or conducting some sort of audit.

I mean, what does the actual procedure look like for deposits like that? Would it be smarter to use a standard checking account, a savings account, or perhaps split it across a few different ones to avoid any red flags? How do banks typically handle these kinds of large transactions?

Thanks

If the IRS is what worries you, just put the money in a bank safe. ☕

Glorifying Nazism in other PDFs in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, I know the rules state that uploading PDFs glorifying Nazism, fascism, or denying the Holocaust is strictly forbidden, but what about all the other types of PDFs? 🙄

haha, I’m honestly starting to believe that high-level politics in America is handled exclusively by Jews and their puppets. It feels like there isn't a single true white European left representing the interests of white people or even Western nations in this country. Once I realized how fishy things smelled regarding those Jews, I started looking closer once I hit school and began learning about this famous Holocaust. It’s treated like it was the only crime in human history, as if nothing else happened before or after it, and as if during WWII, only Jews suffered instead of all the other nations. It’s as if the war in the West was solely a war against Jews, rather than a conflict involving all those other Americans who tragically lost their lives on both sides.

>
Quote:>>
In other words, when someone continuously repeats lies—like this "Holocaust," for example—I think modern crematoriums need over 60 minutes just to cremate one body. So, what does that say about how much time those "evil Nazis" had between 1941 and 1945? It raises a logical question: how could, by God's grace, 6 million people—excuse me, Jews—have been "burned alive"?
>
Quote:>>
And then there's this grotesque, constant apologizing by Americans to Jews because of the Holocaust. Meanwhile, nobody monitors the devastating impact that this supposedly God-chosen people has on America and its citizens. They show up everywhere, causing various deviations and tragedies, but no one talks about it, of course, because it's deemed impossible for Jews to ever do anything wrong to anyone. And heaven forbid they do something even remotely resembling a "Holocaust." It’s just assumed, without any deep analysis of Jewish culture or their general way of life.

If you tell a person that they are responsible for the current state of affairs, or that their enemies are the Bank, the Partisan, the Communist, NATO, America, the EU, Russia, or Democracy,
the Media...
it's almost like you haven't told them anything at all. You haven't really made an impact until you tell them the enemy is actually:

Bank-Jew
Partisan-Jew
Communist-Jew
NATO-Jew
America-Jew
EU-Jew
Russia-Jew
Democracy-Jew
Media-Jew
Well, take this:

and this:

That's just some of the stuff I caught while skimming through the last few pages...

Reading this, I can hardly believe it. Am I allowed, for instance, to write on gastronomy writing that Hitler was a great guy, or that Jews invented the Holocaust?

Maybe it’s time to shake up the moderation on that PDF, because it's pretty clear that their level of tolerance is becoming an issue. 🤦

Still haven't figured out how money is actually made, have you? 🙂
Let’s give this another shot:
So you walk into a bank asking for, say, a $100,000 loan. What happens then?
Get your paperwork in order, wait for the money to hit your account, and then you can finally be happy. Or is that too much to ask?
Do you really think the bank actually put their own cash into an account?
Not even close.
The bank just conjured $100,000 out of thin air. One mouse click and it’s there. Sure, you’ll have to wait a few days if you actually want the cash in hand, but isn't the point that the money was invented from nothing?
Then you actually have to work just to pay it back. Interest included, of course. And whatever value you create counts toward the GDP—you’re essentially investing your own time, expertise, and resources. Is there any other way?
And that’s exactly why the debt outweighs the GDP. It's pretty simple, isn't it?

Of course, we're going to gloss over the whole assets versus liabilities debate here. 😁
