Nathan Lee said:First off—this is my second pregnancy, and it's a girl again, but my symptoms are completely different from the first time. So, there's no rule or connection between symptoms and gender.
Secondly—this pregnancy wasn't exactly part of the master plan, which doesn't mean you didn't want it, but OF COURSE you need some time to process everything and wrap your head around the idea. All those immediate plans and your vision for the near future are shifting right now, and that’s a massive shock to the system. Plus, I bet just two months ago, you wouldn't have dreamed that you wouldn't be able to hit up a concert this summer or go rafting with friends. It makes total sense that you feel lost right now, unsure of where you stand or what comes next. I ended up pregnant at 26; I was already married, and we had planned for it to happen maybe in six months to a year, but when it happened, everything got thrown out of whack. I was incredibly anxious, so I can only imagine how you're feeling...
I really believe things will eventually settle for you. With a little bit of distance, you'll probably look back one day and realize the people around you were actually right with their advice. But honestly, none of us have an "off" switch for being stressed. These are just phases you have to move through. The main thing is that your guy is by your side and supporting you, along with everyone else telling you, "Hey, don't worry, it'll all work out." That's a million times better than having people ask, "How did you let this happen?" or "What are you going to do about college?"
There's one rule: if three different people tell a pregnant woman the exact same thing, that thing becomes extremely irritating

I am HOPING that everything settles into place. Honestly, I'm just waiting for that to happen naturally because I can see that I can't force the process, no matter how hard I try. 😁Between my chaos at college and at home, I think if I weren't pregnant, this part of the year would be absolutely miserable and stressful; I'd be a wreck. With these hormones, I'm completely unmanageable. 😵
Arthur Scott said:Look, I honestly have to say something here—and look, I get it, you’re clearly going through it right now and feeling super sensitive, but maybe just take a breath for a second? This whole post is just radiating pure frustration and anger, and honestly, you should've really sat with that before deciding to vent about this being an "unplanned pregnancy." You kept emphasizing how unplanned it was like it's some huge piece of context, but the truth is—and I hate to be the one to say it—it doesn't actually matter. At the end of the day, there's a baby, and that's what counts. You should be leaning into the happiness of it, especially since so many people out there would give anything to be in your shoes.

Look, you don't have to totally write off who you are—your goals, your drive, all of it—just because this is happening. But crying over missing concerts? Seriously? Pregnancy lasts nine months—about 40 weeks, if my memory serves me right—not sixty years. Just hang in there and things will settle down. Even if this is your only kid and you feel like you're stuck playing housewife inside four walls, hating your life and the whole world... chill. And that "I'm not some damn baby factory or a machine meant to just eat and gain weight" line? Are you kidding me? Is that really how you view every other pregnant woman out there? Honestly, that part gave me actual chills.

It’s so funny how frustrated you got because you had two midterms to prep for—meanwhile, imagine if I’d been bleeding at six weeks and was told I HAD to stay on bed rest. Like, oh no, everyone is just being so stupid and doesn't understand you, right? 😕

My advice? Grow up. Once you finally realize that you can actually handle your college work, your job, going to shows, and everything else you care about while *also* being a mom who loves her kid and celebrates every little thing they do, maybe then the rest of the world will get it too.

Look, I don't think you meant anything by it, but the way you're framing this feels a lot like those unsolicited lectures I get from others that just drive me up the wall. "Get a grip," "grow up"—as if that somehow happens overnight, right? I am frustrated, angry, and sad because I feel unprepared and things are genuinely hard. My pregnancy didn't start off smoothly, I have other health issues, and I had to stop my antidepressants cold turkey, so I'm dealing with withdrawal on top of everything else. Because of the pregnancy, I can't turn to medication or even alternative therapies because I'm terrified of messing something up.
And is it really such a crime to want to finish my degree and pass my midterms and finals? It doesn't matter, and I'm not making excuses to anyone about how I got pregnant; it happened to me just like it happened to others who weren't planning for it. I'm not annoyed by the fact that I'm pregnant—I'm annoyed that people are judging me for not putting my entire life on hold, for not moving back home or taking a gap year.
Honestly, it’s revolting when people act like pregnant women are nothing more than child-making factories. That’s exactly why I wrote that I am NOT that, nor are any other pregnant women. I feel like people offering advice about how I should just lie around and gain weight think that's all I am! That was my point, though maybe you misunderstood what I was saying. Basically, I want to maintain a normal life (just like Gary Nguyen45 mentioned below—I don't have to give everything up), yet everyone expects me to abandon everything!
It isn't shameful to admit I'd love to go to a concert or grab dinner out, but I can't because I'm constantly exhausted and can barely stand. That doesn't mean I won't love my baby or that I won't be overjoyed when they smile at me. I don't understand why comments like that are met with such hostility, as if I'm some kind of monster. 😕
I would give anything to be one of those pregnant women who is purely blissful and carefree about the future. But I’m not enjoying this; I’m scared. I'm terrified because I have no idea what's coming, and I approach every doctor's appointment like I'm heading into combat. Maybe my "problem" is that my brain hasn't turned to mush since finding out I'm pregnant. I'm still aware that pregnancy and life afterward aren't always sunshine and rainbows; there are struggles and hardships that might be incredibly difficult to navigate. Instead of pretending everything will just fix itself, I'm trying to stay grounded and realistic so I don't crash when reality hits. There are plenty of us like this—we aren't all walking on sunshine. Some of us are scared and sad (and again, feeling these emotions has nothing to do with how much we will love our child).
I’ve been dealing with constant nausea from the moment I wake up until I go to bed. I’m hungry like I haven't eaten in five years, yet there isn't a single thing that sounds good; if I actually manage to eat anything, I feel sick immediately.
Then there's the fact that I have to hold off on sex, which will probably be off the table for months.
On top of that, I feel like I'm stuck in a permanent state of PMS—just constantly starving, irritable, moody, and looking for any excuse to start an argument.
The endless list of restrictions is driving me crazy. I can't eat this or that, I can't smoke, I can't go out, I can't hit a concert, I can't deal with the cold, and I can't even take a bath. It's exhausting when my doctor tells me one thing, then I read something completely different online, and when I call a friend for advice, she suggests a third option. To make matters worse, my boyfriend just adds insult to injury by telling me not to worry because everything will just work itself out 😕 though I honestly feel like he doesn't even grasp what I'm going through; he's just babbling so he can say something.
But what really gets under my skin are certain people who don't see anything wrong with my (unexpected) pregnancy. They expect me to just flip a switch, drop everything—college, my hobbies, my social life—and focus solely on the baby. When I express how terrified I am about balancing my exams and finishing my degree, they act like I'm being irrational for worrying about things that aren't "important" compared to the baby.
It shouldn't be this hard to understand that this was unplanned and it has completely disrupted my life. I'm not trying to abandon my goals; I need support so I can actually achieve them while pregnant. Instead, I mostly get told that once the baby arrives, nothing else will matter anyway.
Is it really that difficult to realize that I DON'T want to give up on the life I've built just because of a pregnancy?
Jesus, when I had some spotting at six weeks and was told to just rest until my next appointment, I was panicking because I have two midterms coming up. And of course, I'm told I shouldn't stress about school because I should just "enjoy myself" and gain weight. It feels impossible to prove I'm not just a mindless eating machine; apparently, I'm supposed to keep snacking constantly since I can't diet, but then if I develop gestational diabetes or the baby is born underweight because I overindulged, I'll just get more judgment.
When I mentioned needing prenatal vitamins, the response was, "Why bother? Just wait for fresh veggies from the garden; those pills never did anyone any good, I had a perfectly healthy baby."
And my favorite piece of logic: "Don't get stressed," because apparently, that's incredibly easy to control! I'll just tell myself to stop being stressed and problem solved, right? They claim the baby feels and hears everything. The baby doesn't even have ears yet—it's just a head, arms, and legs with a heart that only recently started beating—but sure, it's listening to every word I say.
I know they mean well, and maybe this unsolicited advice is just their clumsy way of trying to comfort me, but honestly, it isn't helping.
Now they're already guessing the gender. 🤦 Since I haven't broken out in acne, they're convinced it's a boy. Seriously? Not every pregnant woman has been covered in blemishes and felt like they were losing their looks.

velvetmoose9 said:It lasts a long time, yeah, but given what you described, it’s not exactly a shocker.
That said, the part about half your body being blue from bruising is what really gets me. What was the mechanism there? Did you take an udarac to the head? Pass out? Can you actually remember the whole night?
You definitely have enough reason to check in with your doctor ASAP—get a clinical exam and some basic blood work done to figure out what's going on.
Btw, we might need a new rule here—if you're gonna revive a thread this old, a doctor's consultation should be mandatory. 😍

🙂

I didn't hit my head, though I can't remember about 50% of the night. The issue is we were drinking for a long time—actually, almost all day—and by the end, I completely lost the plot. I only remember fragments, and new pieces of the puzzle seem to surface every single day. 😁
My legs are bruised and both ankles are banged up; basically, it's just my extremities that hurt. My torso is mostly fine, and my head feels okay.
I didn't lose consciousness, except maybe passing out once? It was probably just falling asleep after the vomiting stopped, maybe two hours after I finished drinking. I slept through the whole night without any issues, but then total chaos hit me the next morning.
So, it's hard to say exactly what went down because my memory is so spotty.
Anyway, I'm feeling much better today. My legs still hurt like crazy, and my stomach isn't exactly handling food well, but it's improving. I'm still alive! 😁
Terry Scott57 was a comfort to read, knowing someone else has dealt with similar symptoms. 😁
I have massive gaps between drinking sessions; I'll go six months without touching a drop of alcohol, and then I'll absolutely kill myself with a few liters in a single day.
It won't happen again. 😁
Hangover cures? in Health ·
Is it normal to still feel this terrible three days after a massive bender?
If I count the first day as the one when the hangover should have hit—right after the drinking session—I felt worse than I ever have in my life. I was vomiting constantly, and even after getting some sleep, I felt barely any better; I tried to eat some soup, but even that came right back up. I basically just spent the whole time trying to survive.
By the second day, things improved somewhat, but the nausea, the shakes, and the panic attacks were still there. I already struggle with anxiety, and alcohol makes it a thousand times worse, but I was able to eat normally then. It wasn't "emergency room" bad, but I definitely didn't feel like myself yet.
Now it’s the third day, and I need to get back to work and function like a normal human being, but I’m still feeling weak, the anxiety hasn't let up, my stomach hurts, I'm exhausted, and I can't even smoke... and I haven't done anything else for three days besides lying around and trying to stay alive.
Just for context, I almost never drink; the last time was six months ago, and before that, I can't even remember. This time, I had several liters of heavy wine, and after just three glasses, I was already stumbling around.
I’m terrified that I’ve actually poisoned myself to the point where my life is at risk, even though people say the most critical window is just a few hours after consuming large amounts.
Is it possible I'm just out of shape because I rarely drink and really overdid it, or am I genuinely making a scene here? I can understand why I'm moving so slowly since I'm completely hungover and half my body is bruised, but I don't understand these other symptoms. I am really scared. 🙂
EDIT: My apologies for reviving such an old thread. 👍
Well, those levels can definitely spike if you aren't being careful about your diet and lifestyle. 🙂 My own cholesterol has been slightly elevated for the last few years, even though I've tried eating better—mostly because I'm on medication that impacts my numbers.
Honestly, I don't feel any physical difference at all; I wouldn't even know it was high if I hadn't seen the lab results. From what I understand, triglycerides are actually the more concerning ones, and you really need to manage those through a balanced diet and everything.
Since your doctor isn't overly worried about your labs either, I'm guessing they aren't directly linked to the symptoms you're experiencing.
Just hang in there until you get that EEG result, and then you'll have a clearer path forward. I'm crossing my fingers that it turns out to be something psychological so you can put this behind you quickly! 🙂
Elizabeth Davis said:That sounds like depersonalization triggered by a panic attack, doesn't it?

I’m not entirely sure. Given my own history with episodes of depersonalization and derealization—both on their own and hitting all at once—this doesn't quite strike me as that. Then again, when you're dealing with something that terrifying, isn't it natural to exaggerate the description just to convey how awful it feels? Could we be looking at a combination of depersonalization and a panic attack, which often sound much more intense than they actually are?
Honestly, those pauses in the pulse really jump out at me. Even when I was dealing with my worst hangover and hitting 160 beats per minute during a massive attack, I still maintained a steady sinus rhythm. If I’m going by my own experience, doesn't this suggest something might be off? It feels like it definitely needs a closer look.
The smartest move is to just head to your primary care physician first; they can order the necessary tests and guide you through the process. Why jump straight to worrying about brain tumors or those kinds of extreme scenarios? 🙂

Dana Rogers said:I truly believe this will help ease the pain at least. I went through such awful struggles—dizziness, nausea, crying from the discomfort... just everything that could go wrong. But with this tea, things have finally settled enough that I can get to work and function normally.

It’s best to wait a day or two before you start drinking it. My cycle is regular so ordering ahead isn't an issue, though I doubt a cup every single day would cause any trouble.

So, I’ve been having a little fun searching for teas to help with menstrual issues lately. I really want to try something more natural to give my stomach a break. Plus, my boyfriend's mom is dealing with early menopause symptoms—heavy bleeding that lasts for thirty days, low iron, and all that—so I wanted to find something for her too.
Anyway, it says these are great for menstrual cramps, but also for any other bleeding issues, whether they're light or heavy. Apparently, the Alchemilla and Lady's Mantle teas are excellent.
I've never heard of the Lady's Mantle one 🙈 but everyone on other forums raves about it, so I think I'll pick some up. I'll be sure to report back with my thoughts! 😁
I'm going to give the Alchemilla tea to my boyfriend's mom to see if it helps; she refuses to take medication, so natural options are really the only way to go.
Since I usually just grab my teas at CVS or local grocery stores, I haven't seen either of these available there. Does anyone know where I can actually buy them? 😕

So, I’m pretty sure I actually burned my stomach lining last month. 😢 I couldn't get my hands on any Advil, so after taking some Motrin a month ago, I ended up relying on Tylenol, Aleve, and Midol. I ended up taking all of them at once 😍 because nothing else was touching the pain—and honestly, even that 1000mg effervescent Midol was about as useful as holy water; it did absolutely nothing.
Anyway, it wasn't until I finally took some Aleve after three days that I could actually breathe again. It makes me feel a little groggy and sleepy, but hey, can you really complain about being able to function for those few days of the month?

This was easily one of the strangest cycles I've ever had. For five days leading up, I was just a sobbing mess, blasting Eurovision hits and old patriotic anthems, crying from sunrise to sunset. 🤷 It was clearly some intense PMS, but once the period actually hit, it felt like a million tiny demons were poking at me with fairies inside my abdomen. That's the only way to describe it.
On the months where my PMS isn't as brutal (sometimes I don't even realize it's coming), the cramps are actually manageable. 🤷
Moving forward, I think I'll just stick with Aleve; if you take two tablets right away like the instructions say, it kicks in pretty fast. For now, it's the closest thing I've found to Advil. 👍
I wouldn't say "that skin type" is quite the right way to put it; it sounds more like some form of dermatitis to me.
I’m certainly no expert, but I deal with something very similar—the skin around my nose flakes off in waves. It starts out red, looking almost like lichen with raised edges that feel rough to the touch, itchy, and stinging. Sometimes it even spreads toward my mouth.
Being "brilliant," I assumed it was just dry skin and started using Johnson's Baby cream 😁, which actually made the flare-up much worse! Usually, after a few days, the intense redness and itching subside, leaving behind nothing but extremely rough, peeling skin. Then, I might be fine for weeks or months, or I might get stuck in a cycle like this where I struggle with it for months on end.
My dermatologist thinks it's likely seborrheic dermatitis, especially since I get dandruff (though without the redness I thought always accompanied it), along with itching on my scalp and around my ears—sometimes even inside them. There are moments when it feels so overwhelming that I feel like I'm literally falling apart or dealing with something much worse, like scabies.🤷
The area around my nose is definitely the most noticeable, though the scalp issues are starting to drive me crazy too. It’s at its worst during the winter, though even sweating in the summer doesn't seem to help much. I was prescribed a cream—I can't recall the name, but I think it's an antifungal—and I've been avoiding corticosteroids for now. My doctor also suggested watching my diet, since apparently saturated fats and sugar can trigger dermatitis, and the chlorine in the water really irritates me; my redness always gets much worse right after a shower.
At the end of the day, I really don't think it's just a matter of skin type. There might be some experts here on the forum who can weigh in and explain things better than I can, but I wanted you to know that you aren't alone in this struggle.🙂
Snoring issues in Health ·
Does that thing work by keeping the mouth shut so there's no snoring at all? I haven't tried anything like it, so I'm honestly just guessing if it would even help. My boyfriend can't breathe through his nose at all, so I doubt this device would do much for him. 🤷

slycobra15 said:Alright... let me give you the short version of my situation... I'm about 6'0" and 210 lbs. I've always had some level of Snoring, sometimes more, sometimes less, but it was always within what I'd call normal limits. But for the last two months, my wife has been losing her mind because of me. She can't sleep; she moves to the guest room, and she can still hear me through the walls. It's pure madness... I don't even know what's happening anymore. She says she’s watched me a few times and she just doesn't understand it. Says I sound like a pig. I actually wake myself up from the noise. This isn't just classic Snoring anymore; she says I've started sounding like a beast, and now she's genuinely afraid something will happen to me... that I might stop breathing... I really want to fix this, but I have no idea how to get rid of it. Maybe it's my weight...? Oh, and right... when I come home after having a few drinks, it gets even worse... Please, anyone who has dealt with something similar, please share your experience. It feels like my wife is going to leave me because she can't get any rest, and she's exhausted all day because I'm waking her up even in a different room... it's terrible... 🙂

Here's a link so you can hear the sound for yourselves, then you can judge... 🙂

Thanks for the advice!!

🤣 🤣
Sorry, but that description is intense! 😁
And that part about snoring like a pig? That’s actually a pretty accurate way to put it. Sometimes it even turns into these weird hiccups and noises all at once... 🙂
Sleeping on our side used to help us, but unfortunately, that doesn't work anymore; the snoring is just as bad whether he's on his side or his back.
I don't know, maybe go see a specialist to check the nose? If it's a deviated septum or something similar, there might be a fix, though I realize that isn't always a permanent solution... but it might just delay the divorce! 👍
vividsailor7 said:Are you experiencing any issues with urination?
It might even be possible in the USA.

I don't have any issues, though I do find myself going quite infrequently, even though I stay well-hydrated (about 2-3 times a day)—is that even relevant? I dealt with E. coli years ago and struggle with frequent UTIs, but right now, everything feels fine. 🤷
Thanks for the response, vividsailor7, you're a lifesaver! 🙂

I'm 24 years old and dealing with some fatigue lately. I've lost about 20 pounds over the last few months and have been experiencing heart palpitations—though my EKG, Holter monitor, and echocardiogram all came back normal. My doctor suspects this might be tied to my anxiety disorder (I am on antidepressants), but I wanted to run some blood work just to rule out anything else.
For the past two days, I've been using hydrocortisone cream on areas where I get sun allergies.
I see how my cholesterol looks 🙄 even though I eat quite healthily, and of course, the elevated white blood cell count is worrying me. I don't have any obvious signs of inflammation that would cause them to jump.
Basically, if anyone could help me interpret these results—is this mostly fine, or should I be concerned and look into more testing? I would be so grateful for your insight! 🙏

steelhawk62 said:I’ve been taking a cocktail of Fever, Messer, and Sanville to help me sleep for about ten days now. From what I can tell, my mood has stabilized somewhat, and I’ve managed to take the edge off those debilitating panic attacks.

I assume this is a relatively mild combination of medications. However, the real issue is that I feel completely useless throughout the day. It’s just fatigue, fatigue, and more fatigue... My concentration has evaporated entirely; I can’t even make it through a short article in the New York Times. To be fair, I struggled with focus and exhaustion even before starting this regimen, but now it feels like the situation has actually taken a turn for the worse.

Will I ever actually wake up feeling refreshed? In other words, will my body ever truly adjust to these drugs?
Is anyone else dealing with similar issues?

It should pass once your body gets used to the routine. During my first week on therapy, I basically slept through everything. A few weeks after that, I wasn't sleeping quite as much, but the side effects were honestly awful—though they seem almost funny to me now. 🙂 Constant yawning, night sweats, dilated pupils, light sensitivity... it was a lot. But after about a month, most of it subsided or at least became much more manageable.
So don't worry too much; just hang in there a little longer. 😉
Paul Doyle5 said:Honestly, this whole sleepwalking thing is starting to get on my last nerve...

For instance, I’ll pass out on the couch and somehow wake up in my own bed... I even catch myself talking to people while I'm half-asleep—my sister has actually called me out a few times for stuff I said during these episodes... like, I'll start rambling, swearing at her, picking a fight, and then just drift right back to sleep... naturally, I have zero memory of any of it the next morning.🙂

When I was a kid, I used to walk in my sleep and stay wide awake until about age ten.

I don't remember dreaming 99% of the time, and on the rare occasion I do, it’s never anything funny or scary.

Bottom line: I just want to fix this—at the very least, I want to stop picking fights with the people living with me while I'm unconscious.😁

Are you feeling any physical consequences, like exhaustion, or does it just bother you that you're doing things you can't remember?
With sleep disorders, the real trouble starts when your sleep quality drops so low that you can't actually rest, not to mention the constant risk of injury from sleepwalking and such.
If you're really serious about fixing this, you should head to a doctor; they'll let you know if you need further testing or not.
My mom has been sleepwalking for twenty years. They advised her to stick to a strict schedule—going to bed and waking up at the exact same time every day—to relax before bed, keep the room quiet, avoid going to sleep hungry, and make sure she uses the restroom first. But honestly? Nothing seemed to help. 🙂
Elizabeth Davis said:Lately, I’ve been experiencing something really strange.

When I’m out walking, I find myself unable to look at anything except the ground... everything just feels off. It's hard to put into words. When I talk to people, focusing on their faces has become incredibly difficult. I can see them, and I know who they are, but they just look... wrong.
Even when I'm chatting with elderly neighbors, I know it's them, but it's like my brain isn't processing their features correctly.
Because of this, spending time at my laptop has become such a struggle because the letters seem to dance around the screen. Reading is hard too, since the black text against the white background is so jarring... (and now it's all just 🙄blurred vision)

It’s also becoming quite difficult to listen to people sometimes. I hear them, but their voices feel intrusive—almost too loud. It makes keeping up a conversation tough because all I want to do is retreat somewhere quiet.

Is this psychological, or could it be something else? I honestly don't know... I'm just wondering if anyone else has gone through something similar.

Please, I ask that you take this seriously. I'm not joking, and this is genuinely distressing for me. If you find this funny or trivial, please just keep those thoughts to yourself.

Thank you. 🙂

Okay, you've already been advised to see a neurologist, but based on what you've shared, I suspect anxiety might be the culprit.
Go ahead and get some tests done just so you can be 100% sure; maybe that will give you some peace of mind. But I think you probably know that for those of us dealing with anxiety, we tend to overthink things. We're more sensitive than most, and the moment we notice something "new" or "weird," our minds immediately jump to the worst-case scenarios.

I experience exactly what you're describing whenever my anxiety spikes. I start worrying that something is terribly wrong, so I hyper-focus on a non-existent issue until it actually starts feeling real. 🙂
In short, I go through all of this too, and it usually passes once I stop obsessing over it.
Dealing with bad cramps? in Women's Health ·
So, ladies, I got my period this past Sunday, and honestly, I was a little thrown off because there wasn't any pain at all.😕 It got me thinking about how much I've changed my lifestyle compared to when things used to be incredibly painful, so I thought I’d share in case this helps anyone else out.
For the last couple of months, I've basically cut out sweets—maybe the occasional piece of chocolate if I'm feeling wild, but that's about it. As for dairy, I've switched to just yogurt, and I've really scaled back on pasta too. To put it simply: I'm eating much healthier now, focusing heavily on fruits and veggies while barely touching meat.
I've also been way more active lately; I've completely ditched public transit and just walk everywhere instead.
Back in April, my second-to-last period was actually pretty uncomfortable, even though it wasn't unbearable, but this one on Sunday😍 started with some mild cramping, so I took some Tylenol since that's all I had on hand, but I didn't feel anything else.
The discomfort actually vanished by Wednesday, almost as if it never happened! Now, could it all just be a coincidence? I guess I'll find out next month.🤷

Does anyone else feel like they’ve walked into a room and completely forgotten why? It happens to me more often than I care to admit lately! kaže:
@COW, you really shouldn't get blood work done while you're on your period, should you? It could throw your entire CBC completely out of whack.

I’ve been dealing with some hormonal fluctuations lately—right in the middle of my third cycle day. Has anyone else found that these shifts completely throw off their rhythm?
Eric Richardson49 said:Man, I seriously thought I was gonna die yesterday. My period hit and brought this insane nausea with it—just puking up bile and foam... felt more like I was losing my mind than just having "those days."🙄

Last time was the exact same deal. Total exhaustion. I was basically dragging myself around the house like a sick cat.

And honestly? It feels like it gets worse as I get older. Could my diet actually be causing this? (I eat pretty poorly, barely any fruit, immune system's probably trashed, etc.). I’ve been scrolling through these threads and just stumbled onto posts like the one from silverraven0.

I felt that exact same wave of nausea last time; honestly, I was absolutely terrified. Have you ever felt quite that helpless? 😲
I honestly thought I was actually dying for a second there. Those weren't just typical period cramps—it felt more like those intense pains you get during early pregnancy. It’s the kind of pain that completely paralyzes you, and by the time the wave passes, you're left vomiting nothing but foam. Have you ever experienced anything quite that terrifying? 😵
My doctor tells me there are a million different factors at play—everything from diet and weight fluctuations to how smoking or drinking might intensify the pain. They even mentioned that starting your period before age 12 can bump up the risk for dysmenorrhea. Of course, that’s assuming we’ve already ruled out any underlying medical conditions that could be messing with your cycle. Isn't it fascinating how many moving parts there are?

I have to give a quick shout-out here for the first successful emergency intervention regarding period cramps. 🙂
The day before yesterday—day one—I honestly thought I was dying. 😳 I popped two Advil (I usually take Ketoral, but that wasn't an option), and all I managed to do was make a complete mess of my entire apartment.
Today, I went to get some blood work done, and now this wave of weakness is hitting me so hard I feel like I’m losing my mind. ☕
On top of everything, I've had these insane sugar cravings for days; I usually get them right before my cycle, but this current craving? It’s absolutely monstrous. 😁
