I’m running into an issue. I wanted to check my account balance online, so I went through the process of getting my login credentials and security token. I followed every instruction to the letter, but every time I try, the screen just flashes: "Login failed." Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? 😕
Have you looked into any natural options yet? Magnesium is quite effective, and you can easily find fig and prune syrups at places like CVS or Walgreens. 👍 Just stay away from any herbal teas that contain senna plants.
Harold Cook2 said:Well, if that were the case, I should've gone into labor ages ago.🤣 I’m the exact opposite—I'm hitting the bathroom multiple times a day. These iron supplements are absolutely wrecking my system, especially now that they bumped up my dosage near the end.
My OBGYN only sent me for blood work once at the very beginning, which seems rather odd.😕 Since I’m feeling fine, I assume my iron levels are likely within the normal range.
I haven’t experienced any cramping at all; I go a few times a day, which is honestly getting on my nerves enough. I even had a moment of panic the other day, wondering if this was a sign that labor was imminent. I’ve heard stories about women experiencing this kind of "natural cleansing" just a day or two before they actually go into labor.
Harold Cook2 said:My mom just called me, and honestly? Lord, help me. We’re talking, right? And we drift into this whole conversation about what happens when the little guy finally arrives. She starts going on about how my husband is gonna throw this big celebration at the office for everyone, and then she goes, "Oh, please, no big fuss, I'll just bake him a batch of homemade apple pie and that's that." Like, seriously? There are literally 60 people at his firm... I felt physically sick just hearing it. I told her, "Look, you can't just show up with one tray of pie; there has to be some finger foods, cookies, cake, appetizers... you can't just do that." She actually started getting all offended and indignant. I mean, come on. This is a once-in-a-lifetime thing, the first baby
He’s planning on throwing a massive party, inviting coworkers, friends, and all the relatives. I've already made it clear to him several times: the nursery where the baby sleeps will be kept locked, and once the guests leave, everything needs to be scrubbed clean—especially the toilet with some Clorox.
What really gets under my skin is her pattern of behavior. We’re fine right now—everything is smooth—but eventually, a family argument is bound to break out. As soon as things don't go exactly her way, she starts acting superior, shuts everyone out for a month, and flies off to Italy. Then, when she finally decides to come back, it’s like nothing ever happened. Suddenly, we're all acting like everything is perfectly fine again.🤣

I mean, what am I supposed to do? Drag a newborn out into the freezing middle of January to stand by some icy church just so they can pour water over him? He’d catch a cold in a heartbeat. There is absolutely no way I'm doing that.
When he was first born, right after I got home from the hospital, she was already hovering and making a fuss. She ended up staying over at my mom's place since we all live so close to each other. I actually told her not to call anyone else about this. I haven't even brought it up directly to my husband, but he’s smart enough to know that his mother can be incredibly unpredictable and difficult to deal with.😂 If he decides he wants to bring her over, then fine, someone can bring her. But if he chooses to go up to my mom's instead, then I’m just staying quiet. At the end of the day, I really shouldn't have to stress myself out over someone else's mother.
Mine said the exact same thing—that the baby needs to be baptized as soon as possible.🙄 Naturally, I have no intention of putting my newborn through that ordeal in the middle of winter. We'll wait until summer hits and call it a day.😉
No one seems interested in cutting me any slack. Just the other day, some guy had the nerve to jump right in front of me at the grocery store. We were both just standing there waiting for the cashier to come out with our bread, but he decided he was first despite me being there before him. What an absolute jerk—especially considering I’m pregnant and clearly shouldn't be stuck in a standoff over a loaf of sourdough. It’s been the same story at the clinic. I sat in that freezing waiting room for two hours straight. I didn't even have the heart to ask if they could see me sooner, mostly because I knew everyone else would just roll their eyes at me.
People are constantly lecturing me about sleep 🙄 ˝Get some rest now while you can, because once the baby arrives, you won't get a wink,'' blah, blah, blah. That’s exactly why maternity leave exists. I’ve been home all day, managing to stay on top of everything—handling the baby's needs and chipping away at the housework, as per usual 😁—and I still find time to nap. My plan is simple: I'll sleep when the baby sleeps. I'll adapt to her schedule. Besides, newborns tend to drift off almost immediately 🙂, they’re awake for such short bursts anyway...
Sophia Taylor872 said:What kind? 🙄 The ones who claim they "don't have any money" for a birthday that only happens once a year... Of course, you don't raise a child solely on gifts—that's obviously not the case at all—but if you can't manage to buy them one thing once a year... well, I guess you might as well just give up entirely.🙄
Or when they start playing favorites among the grandkids. 👎 Pure primitivism. 😠
Jason Brown68 said:Ugh, this whole shopping situation has been driving me absolutely insane since my sister said she'd help out. Back when I was about four or five months pregnant, she decided we should get a crib. But her plan was to wait a couple of months until "some extra cash hits our bank account"—yeah, right... Two weeks later, I happen to find the exact crib I wanted on sale for $283, fully loaded, so I just went ahead and bought it. She promised she’d pay me back. (In the meantime, my mom actually had to cover the bill for me because I was short on funds) Fast forward to now—I'm two weeks away from my due date, and suddenly, there hasn't been a single word about that money.
Why make a promise if you have zero intention of keeping it? Is it just for the ego boost of hearing yourself say you'll buy someone something?
What kind of people are these?🙄 If it were me, I’d be counting down the days to buy a gift for my grandson. I’d be setting aside a little money every month or even borrowing some just to make sure I could afford it.
I’m getting incredibly frustrated with all these empty promises about gifts—everything from a dresser to a crib. Now, suddenly, there’s no money left. Look, I get it, the economy is a mess right now, but they could have just kept their mouths shut about it. Besides, I’m already eight months pregnant; there was plenty of time earlier in the pregnancy to actually set the funds aside. 🙄
Whenever I deal with this kind of disappointment, I just remind myself of the old saying: "Trust in yourself and your own horsepower." 🤣
The whole car seat debate gets under my skin too: "How is a tiny infant even supposed to ride in one?" And then I’m stuck explaining that it’s an infant carrier specifically engineered for newborns from day one...
At first, they were practically suffocating me with questions about the cat—how we’d manage with both a kitten and a newborn, whether we’d end up getting rid of her 😠 I shut that conversation down immediately, and now they don't dare bother me with it again.
The usual interrogation: "How much longer?", "When's the due date?", "How are you feeling?" But the heavy hitters are always: "Is it a boy or a girl?" and "What are you naming it?" 🙄 Then there’s the incredibly tactless one: "How much weight have you put on?" 😠
And don't even get me started on the mountain of paperwork. 🙄🙄🙄 First, dealing with medical complications meant jumping through endless hoops: seeing an OBGYN, then my primary care doctor, then navigating the bureaucracy at the Social Security Administration just to handle monthly disability claims. I had to hand-deliver everything to the local agency office. To make matters worse, I lost my job during this period, which triggered another bureaucratic nightmare: deregistering from my employer, re-registering, dealing with the IRS, and bouncing back and forth between the SSA and the unemployment office just to qualify for maternity leave. Now that the medical issues are resolved and I'm moving toward maternity benefits, it's the same cycle: registering, deregistering, the SSA, and finally filing with the state labor department. Once the baby actually arrives, the gauntlet continues with a massive amount of red tape just to register the newborn and shuffle enough paperwork to the government offices to secure maternity pay and the baby equipment stipend. It is honestly hard to believe how much they harass vulnerable pregnant women and new mothers. 😠 😠 😠
Michael Barrett11 said:As if his job was done the second he finished. Yeah, right, as if!
He should be helping me train him. He needs to step up with the baby, join us on walks, and if I have to run an errand, he should be the one watching and changing the baby rather than dumping that duty on his mother or mine.
True. There was a time when some men acted like they had zero skin in the game, behaving as if raising a child was solely a woman's burden rather than a shared responsibility.
I’m starting to feel a bit of genuine panic that I might go into labor early, leaving everything half-finished by the time the baby actually arrives at the house. I’ve already got the baby laundry prepped, but I can't get it washed—the humidity is killing me. Everything takes two days to dry and doesn't have that crisp, fresh scent you get when things dry in the breeze. To make matters worse, the forecast says rain is coming all next week. 😠And then there are people who have the nerve to judge me for wanting a clothes dryer. 😠
My brother-in-law and his wife promised to gift us a Bedstead, but they won't be able to drop it off for another month. I wish they could sooner. My mother-in-law promised a changing table, but now she's gone quiet. 🙄Fine, whatever; we'll just pick one up ourselves once my husband gets his Christmas bonus. I’d give anything to have the nursery fully organized right now.
My husband isn't helping much with the excitement either. While I'm over here loving every second of shopping for the little one, he doesn't seem to share the same level of enthusiasm. I suppose I get it, though—men are just wired differently.
