I have nothing but respect for Laurie Metcalf, but personally, I don't think this particular performance earned her an Oscar nomination.

I’m feeling a bit lost here... I have all those classic symptoms that could point toward pregnancy, so I haven't let myself get too carried away just yet. Everything was going fine until about 7:00 this morning, when I woke up with these intense cramps—exactly like the ones I get right before my period starts (which is due this Saturday, and my cycle is usually clockwork). I headed to the bathroom and noticed some light spotting. But it was literally just tiny dots of blood that disappeared immediately after. Now, the pain is gone and there's no more bleeding at all? ???????
I caught it this afternoon and I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. There are just a few brief moments where it leans into those typical rom-com tropes, but otherwise, it holds up quite well.
