So, my mom is an American citizen, and her only income is an overseas pension coming in from Russia. One daughter is working full-time. The other daughter isn't a citizen—she’s been a resident here for five years now. She's an adult, has a partial disability, and is currently unemployed.
Is it possible for the sister to be listed as a dependent? Or is it strictly limited to just the mother being able to claim someone? Honestly, given all those details, is this even a possibility at all?
I totally missed that there was already a dedicated thread for this, and honestly, this one’s always been a huge topic around here...
So, here's my big question—can you actually go through with a professional dental cleaning if your gums are currently inflamed, or should I just hold off until things settle down?
Also, is there really only one way to get the tartar removed, or are there different methods out there? Like, what's actually considered the gold standard?
p.s. The moderator shut my thread down before anyone could even chime in! And get this—they didn't even address what I was actually asking about. Instead of just sending me a DM to clear things up, they started answering questions I never even asked! It felt so patronizing, like I was some kid walking into a Chase Bank trying to buy a pack of gum instead of a real customer.
I totally missed that there was a specific thread for this, but since this one’s clearly blowing up...
So, my gums are acting up big time right around my wisdom tooth, and my dentist suggested I get a deep cleaning done—you know, that ultrasonic scaling thing with the rinse and all that? Anyway, they already put me on some antibiotics to deal with the inflammation, but here's the kicker: can I actually go through with the cleaning while the gums are still so swollen, or am I better off just waiting until things calm down first?
We’ve been badgering management at the office to finally get a bike ramp installed. Since there are only a handful of us who actually ride, we just end up propping our bikes up on their kickstands inside the building.
Besides, there’s zero room for parking outside anyway, so keeping them indoors is way better. We have a security guard on site, so everything stays totally safe. 🙂 Anyway, I’m commuting 6.8 miles every single day now. It’s cut my commute time by almost 50%! Honestly, I feel a little bit guilty watching people getting squeezed into those overpriced city buses 😁 every morning.
brightcyclist2 said:Look, regardless of what the end result is, I just don't get it! How is this =IF(A1=B1;1;2) formula failing for you, while the one you're insisting is totally perfect works just fine? 🤷
I'm not claiming anything, really! It’s just how it looks on my screen. 🙂
So, from what I can gather, you’ve got two columns and two separate rows, and you need to compare them against each other??? Now, my big question back to you is... what exactly are we comparing here? Are we talking about the entire column versus the whole row? Or maybe just one specific value in a column matched up against one value in a row? 😕 If you're working with numbers, why not just sum both columns and those two rows separately? You should end up with the same total, right? Or hey, just tell me exactly what you're trying to do with the comparison, and if I have a clue, I'll try my best to help you out!
Thanks for the offer to help—or was that an argument? Honestly, I spent way more time trying to wrap my head around this post than actually doing anything else! A simple "please clarify" would have done the trick perfectly. 🙂 But hey, Walter Jackson48 went ahead and solved my problem like it was nothing! 😉
Wait, I just realized something! Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like they're constantly fighting with their software? Like, one minute you're cruising along, and the next, everything just... breaks? Anyway, I was thinking about that whole situation earlier—you know, the one everyone was buzzing about? It's funny how things work out sometimes! Does anyone else get that feeling? Just a total sense of "wait, what just happened?" But yeah, back to the point! I’m just over here trying to make sense of it all. What do you guys think? Am I crazy, or is this actually happening? kaže: So, okay! Here's the deal: if you just pop "marko" into cell A1 and then put "marko" right into B1... wouldn't you expect C1 to just spit out a 1? That's how it works, right?! So, here’s what you do! Just pop "Mark" into cell A2, then toss "John" right into B2... and boom! If you set it up right, cell C2 should spit out a 2. Isn't that wild? Simple as that! Oh, and don't forget! You've gotta make sure you pop that equals sign right in front of the formula—and don't leave out the elements either! Seriously, don't skip that part! Hey, just a quick heads-up if you're working on those formulas! You've gotta use a semicolon to separate everything, okay? Like, seriously, don't forget that part or it won't work! Use the semicolon!
Ugh, I tried typing out that formula you gave me, but it just wouldn't work! Those symbols were totally throwing everything off. Why does math always have to be so tricky like that?!
So, this would be the whole formula, right? Like, the complete thing! It’s super simple—I mean, it's totally obvious, isn't it?
So, I was staring at my screen earlier—you know those days where you just stare at the cells until they start blurring together?—and I started thinking about this super simple little formula. You know the one? `=IF(A1=B1, 1, 2)`. It’s such a classic! It's basically like asking Excel, "Hey, are these two things actually the same?" And if they are, boom, you get a 1. If they aren't? Well, then you get a 2. Simple, right? But honestly, sometimes even the simplest stuff makes you pause for a second. Like, what if A1 is a number and B1 is text that looks like a number? Does Excel get confused? Does it throw a fit? I always find myself double-checking those little details! Anyway, just a random thought popping into my head while I was sipping my coffee this morning. Isn't math fun sometimes? Or maybe just... efficient? Who knows!
If you put names in columns A and B—whether they match or not—just pop this formula into C1: =IF(A1=B1,1,2). Then just click C1, head over to Insert, then Conditional Formatting, and in the "Cells is" box, type in =A1<>B1, pick your color, and hit OK. After that, fill out columns A and B down to, say, row 15, and then just "drag" (copy) C1 down to C15. Now, wherever those names in A and B actually match, you'll see a 1 in column C, and if they're different, you'll get a red 2!
Thanks, but I think there's already a glitch in that IF(A1=B1,1,2) formula. I tried doing it with IF(A1=B1, [1], [2]) but it keeps throwing an error at me! 😕
You actually gave me a great idea, though—what if I just subtract one cell from the other? Then I could just go to Sort and filter out everything that isn't zero!
So, I've got this situation where I'm working in Excel and I have these two columns that are supposed to be identical row by row, right? But they aren't! Is there some way to spot the differences and maybe highlight them so I don't miss anything?
One Red Bull is basically like having two cups of coffee (just as an example), right? So just think about how much coffee you’d actually end up chugging if you did that!
Plus, let's be real—the quality of your regular coffee has absolutely nothing to do with the stuff they use in Red Bull. It's low-grade stuff, probably loaded with pesticides and whatnot.
Totally agree! And once you factor in all those other stimulants in Red Bull, like taurine... I mean, it hits just the same. Let's just call it double the caffeine punch! Though, strictly speaking, the actual amount of caffeine in one can is pretty much equal to your average cup of joe.
So, about that whole heart health and coffee debate... the thing is, coffee can spike your blood pressure, right? And when that happens, you’re looking at an increased risk of a blood clot getting stirred up and stuck somewhere—which is how you end up dealing with a heart attack or a stroke. It’s especially sketchy for folks who are already dealing with vascular issues, extra weight, and stuff like that. But hey, that doesn't mean it's *only* a problem for them! It just means their risk is way higher. If you’re just hunting for a caffeine fix, honestly? Just switch to black tea. That’s what I do! A few years back, coffee just started feeling too intense for me. Especially if I drank it on an empty stomach. Plus, all that sugar? It gives me such a massive rush and then just leaves me totally crashing. With black tea, I can drink it by the gallon, and even one single cup—like, just one tea bag—hits me about as hard as three-quarters of a cup of coffee.
goldeneagle8 said:Okay, so look, I am a total Red Bull addict above everything else... which means on any given day I can knock back up to 4 cans, and at least 2 is my absolute minimum... depending on how much cash I have in my pocket🙂 and I've been like this for 5 years now.
Then today I read this thing saying Red Bull could cause heart attacks or heart issues, and it really got me thinking! I grabbed a can and started checking out the ingredients. One can has about 80 mg of caffeine, right? That’s actually less than a standard cup of coffee. A Starbucks brew has about 100 or even more, so if my math isn't totally off, drinking three cans puts me at basically the same level—or even less—than most people who drink two or three coffees a day. And hey, they've actually proven that coffee doesn't hurt a healthy heart!
I mean, if you already have heart problems, maybe a little bit could cause some real trouble, but otherwise, I don't see the big deal... to me, there's honestly no difference between coffee and Red Bull... coffee gives me the same buzz, except it tastes absolutely disgusting, so I can't even stand to drink it!
What do you guys think from a health perspective? ☕
You're drinking junk, plain and simple. Besides the caffeine, Red Bull is loaded with sugar just like a typical soda, plus it has all those other stimulants in there. In other words, caffeine is just one tiny part of the whole Red Bull story. The second part is the sugar (since you can drink coffee without adding any sweetener), and then there are those other stimulants. Oh, and the CO2 too.
The way you laid it out sounds to me like you're just trying to comfort yourself by pretending you're eating less junk than everyone else. If you want a straight answer to your question: No, you are definitely consuming more junk than the average person who poisons themselves with coffee. 🙂
Honestly, the seventh version is just way more intuitive. Everything is up in the cloud now—there’s no rigid "this equals that" logic to stress over. It’s just so sleekly designed.
But man, in Explorer, you can't even click the address bar to jump up a level anymore And I have to be super careful with my mouse clicks just to open a subfolder instead of something else It's such a bummer.
I'm not even sure if I can get those icons into the taskbar myself...
Man, I am really struggling here! I can only fit maybe three icons in my system tray max. And I tried making a desktop shortcut, but it just won't stick! Why is that?
I was thinking, wouldn't it be just way easier if I could, you know, just pop open a few different File Explorer windows? That way I don't have to go clicking through groups or hunting down every single individual folder I have open... I'd rather just see all my separate folders laid out right there in the taskbar at once!
Does anyone know if there's a specific program or some kind of tweak to make the taskbar in Windows 7 look more like the old Windows XP style?
I really want to be able to pin shortcuts directly to the tray and have it show multiple icons for a single app plus, I want to actually see which programs are running in the tray—you know, like my torrent client and stuff like that. Basically, I'm trying to get it to look just like this: 🙂
Casey Long2 said:Just a signature here, and honestly, just for the sake of it—hoping people actually take note—STAY AWAY FROM THE CORSAIR CX SERIESUNLESS YOU'RE LOOKING AT THE 400W MODEL
So, I heard through the grapevine that the CX series was basically made just to grab some market share in the budget tier. But wait, why on earth is the 400W an exception?
