It’s a calculated gamble on their part—anyone who manages to dive past him secures a clear track ahead, while anyone who fails to make the move just ends up stuck in a massive, slow-moving train behind him. Isn't that always how it goes? One wrong move and you're just watching the taillights of the car in front for the rest of the stint.
