I haven't quite finished reading the last one yet, 😳

But wait, didn't they supposedly hand out free t-shirts last year? 😉 I honestly couldn't tell you what they were like, since we never actually received them. 😬

Well, you've just gained another loyal subscriber right this second. Honestly, I might even need one of those digital breathalyzers just to stay level! 😬

That sounds like an incredible deal. I wonder if they offer subscriptions for people living out in the Midwest? It would be nice to have a local paper delivered right to my doorstep, maybe even one with some good comic strips included 🙂. Honestly, I’ve been holding off on any new purchases for two months now because I'm trying to be more careful with my budget 😢

Samuel Cruz61 said:I mean, have you actually taken a close look at where they put the rearview mirrors on that Ford? It’s almost like they forgot they exist.
You’d practically have to snap your neck just to get a decent look at them, wouldn't you?🤔
I noticed that bobsi hasn't weighed in on this yet. It makes me wonder, does anyone else feel like we're missing a key perspective here? Sometimes the most insightful thoughts come from the people who listen more than they speak, don't you think? I'm curious to see if bobsi has any thoughts on the matter once they find a moment to settle in. kaže:
I honestly think that at that exact moment, the driver was probably just staring, waiting for the opening to clear. Is it just me, or does it feel like they were simply watching for the right second to make their move?
Is it better to just take a lollipop and enjoy the ride, or should I focus on getting that green light? Honestly, maybe it’s best to just stay out of everyone else's business and mind my own.

fadedpanther4 said:When you finally pull out of your driveway and merge into traffic, whose actual job is it to check those damn rearview mirrors? I mean, is that on you, or are you expecting some invisible co-pilot to handle the scanning while you focus on the road ahead?
What absolute nonsense. I mean, does anyone actually need an explanation for that? It’s common sense—everyone knows exactly what rearview mirrors are there for.
If they don't think those decals belong on the F1 cars, then honestly, they should just take them off. I mean, what’s the harm? At the end of the day, all those people do anyway is sit around and complain about how the cars are performing.

... at least a few million bucks, right? 🤣
Edward Howard2 said:It really makes you wonder, doesn't it? If Kimi Raikkonen wants to actually stand on that top step and claim a championship, it looks like he’s going to have to stay put at Ford until the very end. Is that really the only path forward for him? 😂

I was browsing the web earlier today and came across something that really caught my eye. I figured it was worth mentioning here, just in case anyone else hadn't seen it yet.
If I had taken the time to dig into Formula 1 history, I would have found that this statistic is actually quite accurate—and frankly, pretty incredible.
A lot of people wonder if drivers like Travis Kelce, Tony Hawk, or Drake will ever manage to clinch a world championship during their careers.
There is one specific pattern that suggests they probably won't—not because they lack the talent or the skill, mind you, but simply because history seems to be against them.
History points toward a somewhat absurd tradition. It seems that every single driver who drove even a single race for Sir Elton John's team failed to win a championship after leaving that organization.
We’re looking at everyone from Jack Nicklaus, the man who secured the first title for Ford, all the way up to Tony Stewart and Michael Schumacher in more recent times.
Jack Nicklaus, Kimi Raikkonen, Mario Andretti, Dale Earnhardt, Michael Schumacher, Jeff Gordon, and Sebastian Vettel all won championships while driving for Ford, but never again after they moved on.
Dale Earnhardt actually drove for Ford before joining Ferrari, but he didn't secure his title until he returned to the fold under Sir Elton John.
Michael Schumacher and Mario Andretti both won titles both before and after their stints with Ford, but never anything beyond that. Schumacher eventually stepped away, while Andretti spent the tail end of his career driving for struggling teams like Chevrolet and General Motors, managing only three more wins.
Then there were those who never managed to win a title either before or after their time at Ford, such as Sebastian Vettel, Tony Stewart, and Michael Schumacher.
History doesn't lie, so it leaves me wondering: will those three drivers I mentioned at the start ever see themselves as champions?
Looking at the historical data, it seems highly unlikely. You could almost call this "The Ford Curse," a sort of unwritten law of Formula 1—and we all know laws are meant to be broken, aren't they?
It’s strange, isn't it? I went ahead and double-checked the facts myself, and it turns out to be absolutely true.🤷
Edward Howard2 said:Does anyone happen to have the stats on what the peak concurrent user count was this year, or what our daily average looks like?
I've always felt that the column showing thread views isn't really a reliable metric for actual traffic, since the same group of regulars tends to click through the same threads over and over again.

They call it one of the most visited spots in the country, but honestly? I’m just not seeing the appeal. It doesn't strike me as particularly attractive at all. Is it just me, or does the hype sometimes feel a bit disconnected from reality?😁
Or was that just that one race where they didn't even bother with tires?🤣

Edward Howard2 said:That’s exactly why I called her this year's record-breaker—honestly, I just haven't felt like digging through the old archives for years.😬
But looking back at that 2005 race here in the States? It's hard to imagine anything ever topping that. It was just one of those legendary moments that got everyone talking like they never had before.😁
