My routine is always the same—Windows, drivers, Chrome, antivirus, MBAM, CCleaner, Microsoft Office, updates, and then everything else after that. Honestly, I do this stuff on autopilot now 😁 it's just muscle memory at this point.

Regarding the Windows serial, when I bought my Dell Inspiron, it came with a Premium version. There’s a sticker on the bottom with the key and everything—can I actually use that? It's not like there's any massive difference between Ultimate and Premium anyway.

I did the installation just like I always do—and believe me, I've done this more times than I can count. Everything was running smooth as silk after I installed it and turned off User Account Control. But then... everything went sideways right after the update.

A few weeks ago, I reinstalled 64-bit Windows 7 Ultimate on my Dell Inspiron (it originally had Premium).

I have this habit of doing a clean reinstall every couple of months because things just get messy... so I made my own ISO to use whenever I wipe the drive—figured I'd share it here if anyone needs it.Yeah, it's pirated. 😁
I don't think the issue is the installation itself since I've used this exact image before without any drama.

I wiped the partition, installed Windows 7, tweaked the settings, installed my software, ran all the driver updates, Windows Update, the whole nine yards. Once everything was finished—even though I disabled User Account Control—that little UAC icon started popping up next to certain things:

And of course, those programs with the icon won't even launch unless I right-click and select "run as admin." I'm the only user on this machine, always logged in as an admin, so I don't get what the hell is happening.

On top of that, I don't have write permissions for the C: drive, so I had to manually fix the permissions for every single folder in Program Files and Program Files x86—and even then, it wouldn't work unless I gave full access to every single user profile.

I scanned every partition with Malwarebytes, Avast, MSE, Spyhunter, Panda, and Kaspersky... nothing. Nothing at all. As far as installed software goes, I've got Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, CATIA, WinRAR, Paint.NET, BS Player, Call of Duty 4, Xfire, Skype, Viber, Lightshot, MSE, MBAM, CCleaner, Foxit Reader, Chrome, and Notepad++—nothing sketchy or weird.

Then, a couple of days ago after a major Windows update (I do them manually every two weeks), my boot time shot up from under a minute to ten minutes. After the "Starting Windows" screen disappears, the display just goes black and stays like that for ten minutes until the password prompt finally shows up. After that, it takes a few seconds for the startup stuff to load and everything to actually function properly.

What is the deal with this and how do I fix it?

hm, I thought using SH was fine for a quick scan after running Malwarebytes, but does anyone have a link where I can actually read up on why people say it's bad?
I trust you guys and I'll toss it, but I'm just curious... 🙂

CCleaner is pretty decent, though I’ve never been a huge fan of Norton—I think Panda or McAfee are better bets. For anti-malware, I guess Malwarebytes is fine, but if you need a backup, SpyHunter is the only other thing that comes to mind. It actually caught some junk for me that Malwarebytes missed...

It really comes down to how you have CCleaner set up. You also gotta consider what else is running when Chrome freezes—because let's be real, Chrome eats through RAM like crazy...

If you want an all-in-one fix, try the trial version of Tune Up Utilities. It’s enough to patch up a few things before you just uninstall it—then maybe grab it again in a few months if things start acting up again. 🙂

Have you run a disk defrag lately? Give Auslogics Disk Defrag a shot—it might help...

I'm running into a bit of a headache trying to generate a chart in Excel 2010.

Here are my data points (x,y,z):
For x and y:
I have 18 specific pairs set up here.
(0,0), (1,0), (2,0), (3,0), (4,0), (5,0),
(0,1), (1,1), (2,1), (3,1), (4,1), (5,1),
(0,2), (1,2), (2,2), (3,2), (4,2), (5,2).
This is supposed to be a coordinate grid—the layout should look like what I've marked in red below:

Now for z:
I've calculated two separate values for each of those 18 pairs. I need to generate surfaces or grids through these points (specifically one for the z1 value and another for z2) so I can actually see the deviation between the first and second value.

I've been banging my head against the wall for an hour and a half messing with surface charts and I just can't get it to work... Is this even possible? Does anyone have a tutorial or some actual instructions on how to pull this off?
So how would it even work—what’s the actual mechanism? And what happens if you forget a dose...

I honestly don't get why nobody is just asking their doctor how these pills actually function in the first place.

So, since there isn't much info online about this—and if there is, people can't seem to agree on anything—I'm wondering what your experiences are with taking birth control—pills, patches, shots, whatever—while also using teas known to affect your cycle.

Specifically, I was Googling stuff about St. John's Wort essential oils, mugwort, tansy, and calendula (by the way, does anyone know where I can actually find calendula? Like, where's the best place to grab it? 😁). I see that both types are listed as emmenagogues and all that, so I did some digging and realized they can trigger menstruation. It seems to me that combining them with the pill could cause some kind of countereffect for one or the other—like sending confusing signals to my hormones—which might mean my protection fails.

Basically, which teas or essential oils should you absolutely NOT use alongside hormonal contraceptives?

Logest or Lindynette—both work, I know they do because I’ve taken them myself, just can't recall the exact protocol. I think it was two doses of five tablets at once, spaced out by 12 hours, but honestly, I'd have to double-check.

If you're gonna take a break, don't just do it for a month—make it at least three. That’s what my OB-GYN told me. Taking a break for only a month is pointless; we're talking massive hormonal shifts here, and it takes three months for a break like that to actually mean anything.

Look, it’s different for everyone... you can never really predict how it'll go—it all depends on the specific pill, how your own body reacts...
For instance, a friend of mine stayed on her period, but she also packed on 15 pounds during those two years she was taking them.
As for me, while I was off the pills for a three-month break, my cycle went back to normal—but now it's starting to get irregular again.
There are perks, sure—better cycle regulation, breast enlargement, lighter and less painful periods. But honestly, messing with hormones and throwing your natural balance out of whack always leaves a mark... you shouldn't just play around with it.

Look, once you stop drinking them, they just go right back to their old size anyway. Don't start the OHC thing just because your shopping cart looked a little bigger for a couple of months... it’s pointless.
That’s exactly why we tell young girls—especially those around 18, 19, maybe even up to 20—to be extra careful... just common sense, really.
Better just go with a friend or something—it’s gonna be super awkward if your boyfriend tags along😁
Your best bet is to just call that guy from school and ask him straight up.

You need a prescription for pills—period. You also need blood work done first, and you really ought to get some solid info from a gynecologist since you're only 17. I started taking them for health reasons back in the day, and luckily I had an amazing doctor who actually answered my questions and gave me real advice.
You can go to the gynecologist by yourself. Just find out which provider is accepting new patients and sign up—get a file started. Since you have insurance, you're entitled to see a covered gynecologist at no cost to you. Book an appointment—ideally right after your period ends—and that's basically it. Now, since you're a minor, I'm not entirely sure how the paperwork flows, but doctors are legally bound by patient confidentiality. Your other option is a private clinic; just walk in, book, pay, and you're done.
Your mom doesn't need to go anywhere with you; you can handle all of this on your own. That’s what I did, and it wasn't an issue. The nurse recognized me and just asked where my mom was, so I told her she was at work. She asked if she needed anything else, and I said no.

One more thing.
I don't know when you're planning to start being active, but since you want to use both condoms and pills, keep in mind that you usually start the pills on the first day of your period—then you're protected from day one. If you start later, you absolutely MUST use condoms for an extra week or two, depending on the specific brand. Otherwise, they aren't necessary as long as you take them consistently.

Depends on what kind of prescription you have—if it's private (you know, just a paper slip from the doctor), then it's sixty-something bucks. But if it's an e-prescription, it's closer to thirty-something dollars. 🙂

Can you just stop already? Seriously. When I took my three-month break after being on Yaz for a whole year—I just finished the pack and didn't start a new one... 🙂 Gin advised me to redo those tests from before the intake—just to see how everything was holding up afterward—and everything came back fine. Honestly, you probably won't need to run them again since I took some extra pills along with the Yaz, so we just needed that follow-up check...

As for smoking, it's risky—though I still smoke, and I actually find myself smoking more since I started, probably due to the nerves :P
Some people see growth, others don't; mostly it's just swelling from the hormones, though most of that seems to subside eventually... anyway, just read the thread from the top and you'll find plenty of answers... 😉

Mine too—they've actually gone up. But honestly, I took a break from it for a bit, and now my measurements are maybe an inch or two—three max—larger than before. I'm hitting the size 20s on Lindy's now, and once I hit M... well, hopefully soon... 😁

It’s just that my cup size jumped up, and now a few acquaintances have noticed—so suddenly they’re all looking for ways to boost their own measurements too. Then I see some of these posts on the forum and I honestly can't wrap my head around it—why would anyone think it makes sense to mess with their hormones just to jump from a fake C cup to a fake D? And by "fake," I mean just stuffing a half-empty bra with socks... 😁
