Up-and-coming bands in Music ·
Hey, let’s shake things up in this thread a little bit. I’ve got a little something special for you guys today coming straight out of San Francisco. There’s this young band called R.M.A.—they're just kids, really, somewhere between 16 and 18 years old—and they actually just finished recording their very first track titled...Just erase me from your memory. Seriously, wipe the slate clean. The band leans pretty heavily into that rap-rock vibe—they’ve got a rapper and a female vocalist, which actually works really well together. I’ve seen a ton of people raving about this track lately, so I figured I’d drop it here. If you guys don't mind, give it a listen and let me know what you think. 🙂

Hey, thanks a million.

rustypanther13 said:$2400!? A VIP section? Honestly, anyone actually dropping cash on that is a total candidate for idiot of the year.

I mean, yeah, but it’s not just some tiny VIP area—we're talking 8 VIP tickets, drinks included, and all that good stuff. Sure, it's pricey, but trust me, there are always plenty of people out there willing to blow that much money just to feel special...

What happened? Did this thread just die on us? 🙂 , no way 😁 let's shake things up and get some energy back in here

Wow, and here I was thinking our entry had bad lyrics... like, 90% of this thing is just "I will be popular" 🤣

Awesome, I am totally loving 😁
Come on, guys, let's hear it—what are we thinking? Do you have a frontrunner yet?
Sophia Wells72 said:What are you looking for specifically? I can handle all the technical heavy lifting without breaking a sweat, but since you're the one pulling the strings on this thread—do you have any specific questions you want to throw my way?

Nothing is really jumping out at me right now, though that idea about placement sounds pretty solid to me. You got anything else up your sleeve?
Sophia Wells72 said:Oh yeah, everything moves at a snail's pace over here—I guess that little guy from the local suburb knows that better than anyone 😬... anyway, should we throw up a poll? It doesn't have to be about how our singer places. Or should we just skip it?

A poll is always a good idea 👍. So, what's the topic?
Sophia Wells72 said:Think we can place a bet on where our entry actually lands this year? 🙂

Hahahaha 🤣 You're on!
Honestly, I’m not even feeling our song. It feels like something that would’ve been played at a club twenty years ago—just straight-up dance trash. Man, it feels like everything in this country is always running a decade behind the curve. Anyway, I’m not holding my breath... I don't have massive expectations here.
It looks like I’m the first one to kick things off with a thread about this year's Eurovision Song Contest, so I figured I'd just dive right in and start the conversation. As you guys probably remember, last year Germany took home the win with "Taken by a Stranger." SatelliteSo, I was just thinking about how things are shaping up this year. It looks like Taylor Swift is representing Germany again at the Eurovision Song Contest, though she’s just bringing the song this time around. Honestly, it feels like we've seen this pattern before, doesn't it? Taken by a StrangerMark your calendars! The big finale is going down on May 14, 2011, at 9:00 PM Eastern Time.

This is the spot to drop all your takes on the Eurovision Song Contest—whether you’re obsessing over the contestants, shouting about your absolute favorites, or just venting about the whole show. Get in here and let it rip! 🙂
Honestly, I’m kind of obsessed with that Billy Joel track—you know the one. There's just something about his songwriting that hits different every single time. Love in Rewind 😁

Honestly, I completely lost all faith in Dora after that whole Sevine Africa Pepper disaster. 🤦

KISS is this legendary American rock band that kicked things off back in New York City in '73. They’re basically icons because of that crazy face paint and those over-the-top stage costumes they rock. They really blew up in the mid-70s with this massive sound that was like a heavy mix of classic rock, glam, and early heavy metal. And man, their live shows? Absolutely wild. We're talking fire-breathing, blood-spitting, smoke guitars, and enough pyrotechnics to light up the whole coast.
To date, KISS has racked up 24 gold albums, and their total sales have absolutely smashed past the 100 million mark.
The OG lineup—which everyone agrees was easily their most successful and recognizable era—featured Gene Simmons on bass and vocals, Paul Stanley on rhythm guitar, Ace Frehley on lead guitar and vocals, and Peter Criss on drums and vocals.
With that signature makeup and gear, they basically turned themselves into comic book characters: The Demon (Simmons), Star Child (Stanley), The Spaceman (Frehley), and Catman (Criss).

I haven't seen any threads about them around here yet, so I figured I'd start one. 🤷
I'm dying to know what you guys think of them. 🙂

P.S. There’s been some chatter floating around about them potentially touring through Los Angeles soon, but honestly, it all sounds like total tabloid speculation (though I’d sure love it if it actually happened 👍).
