So, basically, you're looking at osteoarthritis—that's just a fancy way of saying the cartilage in your joint is wearing down over time. In your case, it sounds like all that intense training you mentioned really took its toll on your body. Don't let it stop you from staying active, though! Just make sure you dial it back and keep things at a much more moderate pace. 🙂
Wait, hold on... HPV isn't a sexually transmitted disease?! Then what on earth is it supposed to be? What are you even talking about? You didn't catch HPV from shaking someone's hand... honestly, it feels like every other young girl is testing positive for it. This is just nonsense! HPV is spread through sexual contact, plain and simple!
As for Gardasil, I don't know exactly how high-quality the vaccine is, but look at it this way: how do you tell a 15-year-old girl to always use a condom during sex? There's always going to be that one time where someone forgets or decides not to use one, and then—bam—you've picked up HPV. That's just the risk involved. In my opinion, if that's the case, Gardasil is definitely the better option.
It might just be a lipoma—you know, one of those harmless little lumps of fat that’s the same color as your skin, soft to the touch, and doesn't really hurt. If it isn't inflamed (meaning it’s not red or painful), most doctors won't even bother touching it. But honestly, I'm just guessing based on how you described it. Maybe you should go see a GP just to be safe?
What does the swelling actually look like? Is it red or inflamed? And when you touch it, is it soft to the touch or does it feel hard? Also, does it hurt when you press on it? Most importantly, are you having any trouble breathing or anything like that?
