What kind of censorship are you talking about? There’s no censorship on this Reddit, aside from what's strictly laid out in our rules.

We only issue a Banhammer at a user's request in extreme cases where there's a truly compelling reason. Otherwise, it's pointless—you just stop visiting the site. Honestly, it happens more than you'd think; someone says they need to focus on studying but can't quit the site... Then people start asking us if they're just being dramatic or why we're being so harsh.

As a dev, I always had to build retroactive data deletion into my apps to decouple users from their activity. So, I'm invoking GDPR.

Besides, have some self-respect. If someone doesn't want to be part of the community or show up in your user stats, just delete them.

As an unbiased observer, I’m just looking at who actually contributed here. There are more of you than there is Casey Bennett. I'll tell you a secret, too. The people who got vaccinated are the real danger now. They have a license to kill. One infected doctor with a shot in their arm can wreak havoc on an entire hospital ward, all because they have their credentials in their pocket.

Besides, COVID stopped being a boogeyman for regular people a long time ago. You just live with it, like any other illness.

It’s actually a shame. This used to be a top-tier platform with brilliant users and great discussions. Even with all the crap, I still felt some connection to this community. Now we’re just getting burned by Nero in Rome for no reason—just because he's feeling moody and wants to read his own poetry while watching the city burn. It sucks. I consider myself a decent enough writer, and I really missed being able to post, but not like this. It’s good there’s an alternative now; hopefully, it puts a dent in this rot.

You can see the threads are being moderated. When someone crosses the line into aggression, they get a warning. That’s how it should work here. But no, instead we get instant red cards and bans. God forbid you write something that doesn't fit perfectly inside Ego or Anderlon's heads—then the persecution starts. They could actually learn a thing or two from how Giod handles moderation.

So much of what was banned has turned out to be true that the entire moderation team involved in the COVID era should be blushing with shame. Some might even feel a bit of guilt, especially for blocking the spread of information regarding Ivermectin.

Why should I bother wasting my energy on you people? You already wore me out with those "official" stances on abortion, where you didn't just shut down the debate, but actively banned basic pro-life terminology. I walked away back then, but then the pandemic pulled me back in, and clearly, nothing has changed.

At the end of the day, competition is a good thing, right?

I actually quit two years ago because of the censorship, then I crawled back after getting sucked into certain topics again. A partial ban will make sure I don't make that mistake twice.

After I called out this generalization, the insults toward clergy, and the trolling, the mods wiped my post and left the one above.

Enough is enough. For years, plenty of conservative users have endured harassment on this subforum while just trying to bring some actual debate to the table. No matter how much I try to stay polite and stick to the facts, it doesn't matter. This current lineup of moderators has driven away almost every conservative user, and honestly, the owner should be ashamed of all of you.

I've finally hit my limit. I'm done with the bullying and the lowlifes who substitute moderation violence and vulgarity for actual arguments.

Please just give me a partial ban from the political discussion section so I don't have to deal with being targeted there anymore. I understand a requested partial ban carries the same weight and consequences as one issued for activity.
