David Sullivan4 said:If you were actually a ninja instead of just pretending to be one, you'd probably just give them the boot if they tried signing your amp—kind of like how that guy in the studio once refused to sign Fred Cole's guitar when he asked for an autograph🙏 🙂

Nah, that’s just straight-up raw punk behavior right there.☕ 🙂
Just wanted to drop a quick note to say thanks to the late, great C.I.K. (RIP to the legend)
for letting me lend out my Twin Reverb, which Peter Hall6 will be putting to good use😍 😬

Daniel Bailey7 said:here are the top 10 patches I picked up yesterday😵

1. jawbreaker
2. husker du
6. interpol

I grabbed some of those too😍
though, honestly, Interpol feels more like something my girlfriend would rock.

I ended up snagging one that says Hippies use sidedoor! with an arrow on it—I've always had a soft spot for those kind of goofy, tongue-in-cheek patches.😬
gentlepuma20 said:I think Nicholas Perez33 might be the only person on Earth who snores while he's actually wide awake 😲 🙏 :poor-mom:

Seriously though, we'll be lying in bed🙂😍 , just having a normal conversation, and then out of nowhere, he starts sawing logs—even though he was talking perfectly fine ten seconds ago!😕 😬

Anyway, he was actually pretty quiet when we were down in Miami... and since he decided to point the finger at me this time instead, I’m feeling pretty good about it😍
Sleep tight, you monster!!!🙂
Nicholas Perez33 said:Man, what a bunch of plant-eating hippies. Elvis and I just crashed out like we were surrounded by fairy godmothers instead of a pack of wild animals in fur coats.🙂

Yeah, totally. Some people drifted off like it was nothing, while others couldn't catch a wink because those first few folks started partying like absolute maniacs.😈 😬
Jesse Sanchez60 said:I actually love how they’re playing at The Fillmore just two days after this. It's wild thinking about back in the day when Octopus was basically a thirteen-year-old kid, backed up by a crew of about thirty Puerto Rican and Black teenagers acting as security while they played shows in the middle of nowhere in rural America... he once sat me down and poured his heart out about his life story, and man, it is absolutely insane...
I could easily turn his whole journey into a movie about growing up as a Native American kid (yeah, believe it or not, he's Indigenous) dealing with all the racism in New Jersey...

Hold up a second, didn't he tell us he was touring with Agnostic Front rather than SOIA?
The way I remember it, it was definitely Agnostic Front.

They were actually pretty awesome...
And honestly, it wasn't nearly as intense as I was bracing myself for, though there was definitely one moment where things got a bit heavy 😬

Man, there was some seriously jazzy noodling on the guitar going on, but traditional jazz guitar isn't really my cup of tea.
The thing is, Parker totally saved the vibe with those killer ambient passages.

Plus, he couldn't stop raving about my amps😍 which, hey, I’ll happily lend him whenever he needs them.

And Taylor is just a legend—but I think we all already knew that.

All in all, it was a great time.

Adam Moore said:Man, you're totally tripping. Gordon is an absolute legend.

Alright, alright, jokes aside for a second.
To me, she’s always been quite clearly the weakest link at IBM.
And I mean *clearly*.

She can't play a lick, and her vocals? Not even close.
You might be able to overlook it on a single track, but she pretty much ruins every song she lends her "voice" to.🙂

gentlepuma20 said:Look, Elvis, you can say whatever you want, but let's be real—Gordon is a total MILF, period.

Never happened and it's never gonna happen!🙂😬

Honestly, if you’d just called her a washed-up, bottom-of-the-barrel tramp instead of a MILF, we might actually be getting somewhere here!😬 😬

electro cute said:What’s the big deal with who is Gordon Robin Booth? haha! :P Honestly, I totally tripped up because I was trying to mention Kim Deal on bass, but my brain just does this thing where it swaps names all the time!

What's wrong with Kim Gordon?
Man, are you deaf and blind or something?😕 🙄

Man, you really want me to hate you, don't you?😈

David Sullivan4 said:either way, you call it overproduced. whatever works for you.

I totally get where you're coming from, but I don't see how we can even talk about it being "overproduced" here.😕
In my book, the production and sound are basically identical to what we heard on 4 Great points, so is that one overproduced too?😬
To be fair, Anatomy of Sharks sounds a bit rawer... but then again, maybe they aren't, maybe their stuff was just hitting harder back then.

David Sullivan4 said:I don't know, I was bored. Honestly, I don't really have an opinion on that show at all.

Well, maybe if you spent more time watching the CONCERT and less time hanging out at the bar, you'd actually have an opinion!🙂😈 😘

Mr. Wrong said:Look, I’ll give the guy credit—while I was hanging out at the NYSE the other night, I actually heard a Gang of Four track that wasn't "Damaged Goods." It’s funny because I usually feel like most of their stuff is just noise, but to borrow a line from a poet, I can't quite recall the NYSE. 😬

I’ve never been one to play Damaged Goods; that’s more like Chuck’s vibe😬

Adam Moore said:honestly, the last one was such absolute garbage that I should've just headed over to a local jazz club to find something actually worth listening to called "it's all around you."

David Sullivan4 said:Honestly, Standards is still my absolute favorite out of that trio. To be real with you guys, those two shows I saw—the TNT gig and that last one—were both way more intense than anything else I've experienced lately.

Is TNT actually any good? I feel like everyone has such a different take on them.
🙂

As for their live shows? Man, I honestly don't even know where to start with those...
To be honest, that show in Vienna a while back wasn't exactly anything special, but I feel like most of that was just down to the venue being totally wrong for the vibe, you know? It’s like trying to host a black-tie gala at a dive bar—it doesn't matter how good the food is if the atmosphere is completely off.
Man, things went absolutely sideways at The Fillmore—it was total chaos, honestly. My bad for even bringing it up!🙂

David Sullivan4 said:Regarding Anahata—look, I actually put in some serious work and gave them another spin after five years, and honestly? It’s not a total loss. But you have to keep in mind that this is the same band that dropped *Tropics & Meridians*, those four killer tracks, and that absolute beast of an album called *SHARKS & SAILORS*. To me, this new Anahata stuff feels a little too slick, almost like that overly polished student band vibe you get at a college frat party. It’s alright, though. My only real gripe is that the production feels a bit over-engineered. So, how’s that for an update, Robin Booth?

Forget everyone else—Anahata is hands down the absolute best. 🙂
Overstimulation? Man, I feel that in my soul lately. It’s like when you’re at a massive outdoor festival—think Coachella or something—and suddenly the bass is too heavy, the lights are blinding, and everyone is crowding in way too close. Your brain just kind of hits the "emergency eject" button, right? I get those moments where everything feels a little too loud, a little too bright, or just... much. It’s like having fifty browser tabs open on your laptop at once and the cooling fan is screaming because it can't keep up. You just need to close the lid, walk away, and find some quiet corner to reset. Anyone else deal with that kind of sensory overload, or am I just vibing on a different frequency today?🙂
Is it just me, or does everything feel a little bit too "college campus" lately? Like, you know that specific kind of greasy, uninspired vibe you get at a cheap university dining hall or some low-budget student lounge? It’s like everyone is just sliding around in this weird, lukewarm atmosphere where nothing has any real substance. It's total student-slop energy.🙂
Man, you're really pushing it now!🙏

Kevin Chavez3 said:At the end of the day, as long as people keep saying the Heart Chakra isn't all that, I guess we'll just have to see. 🙄

I’m really hoping you’re talking about that one guy—you know, the radical extremist type.🙂Well, you guys already know exactly where I stand when it comes to the Heart Chakra.😍

@Tyler Grant86/">@@Tyler Grant86 & David Sullivan4

Am I really the only one out here who thinks their last two or three albums were actually solid?
I mean, sure, they’re a bit short, but man, they pack a punch!
To be honest, I wouldn't even want them still churning out stuff like Millions...
For me, it's all about the Standards zakon ploča.
I’ll admit, the runtime on that last one starts feeling a little stretched toward the end, but honestly, some things just work regardless.😍

Gregory Walker15 said:Oh yeah, totally forgot to mention... I am absolutely loving the sound quality at Papillon...🙂

Since there isn't even a PA system set up there, you can only credit that "sound quality" to one thing: those Fender amps. It's just pure magic! 😬
