Matthew Anderson4 said:so basically can I stare into the dark without issues if I just act like I'm looking at regular sunlight instead of bugging out staring directly at the sun like an idiot for five minutes?🤔
Robin Fox2 said:I don't quite follow. For instance, today the sunlight was fairly weak, so I was looking toward the Sun around 4 PM with my sunglasses on without any issues. Does that mean the Sun is somehow tricking me into thinking it's weaker so I can look at it while it secretly destroys my retinas? How long does it take to cause damage—if it's instantaneous, I won't linger too long, assuming I'd notice immediately if I went blind? Or will the damage happen without me even realizing it, and when would I actually notice that my vision is gone 😬?
I'm not joking around here; I'm asking seriously because I was genuinely curious. Purely theoretical, of course...
Look, just check it first, alright? Don't go bullshitting him like some clueless rookie... seriously. From what I gather, it’s just as bad as staring straight at the sun, except you can't even look away before it blinds you because you don't realize it's happening. How long you can actually stare at it before things go south? Honestly, who knows... I'm no doctor... 🤣
Matthew Anderson4 said:yeah, but how is UV gonna fry my eyes if we can't even see ultraviolet light? 🤣 so it could still cook them even if I've got my back turned 😕 🤣
Not sure if you're trolling here...
You're still gonna be staring 🤣right at
the Sun, it's just mostly blocked out. edit:
Watching the sun during an eclipse is actually riskier than just looking at the regular sun. That darkness from the eclipse messes with your instinct to squint or look away, which means way more UV hits your retina. It's super easy to get damaged even if you're only seeing a tiny sliver of light. Your cornea basically acts like a lens that focuses that sunlight straight onto the retina and scorches it. And since the retina doesn't have any pain receptors, you won't even realize you've fried your eyes until it's already too late...
Robin Fox2 said:Could someone please enlighten me on this solar eclipse business, specifically why one isn't supposed to look directly at it when... 🤣 naturally, the sunlight loses its usual blinding intensity during the event 😕 🤣
Because those UV rays will straight up fry your retinas! The reason you usually have to squint when looking at the sun is just your body trying to protect itself. The sun isn't actually any dimmer, you're just seeing a smaller sliver of that intense glare... and it'll wreck your eyes fast 🙂
By the way, Sett writes for CNN 🤣
If he’d just kept it at 80, he would've made the turn and maybe even cleared it... plenty of room there...
FC Barcelona - Manchester City x2 @ 5,80 (2:1)
Even though FC Barcelona is technically the better squad, and sure, they could pull it off if everything clicks today, I honestly think the odds are just too juicy to pass up given how messy things are right now. Tite has completely lost the plot, Andrés Iniesta looks totally drained, and Lionel Messi seems to be struggling every other match... They even dropped a game against Real Valladolid this weekend, which probably knocked them out of the La Liga race entirely. They haven't looked this bad in years, so this is Manchester City's moment to go all-in. Plus, let's be real, even when things are going great, FC Barcelona's defense is pretty shaky at best. At 5,80, you've gotta take that shot 😁
Honestly, I think you guys totally slept on Real Madrid 🤷. They’re looking scary good right now—you could tell from that first match they were the better side compared to Man Utd. Sure, SAF is the superior manager, and if anyone can squeeze a result out of this, it’s him, but I’m still taking
Real Madrid to advance @1.75. p.s. If Real ends up getting knocked out, I am going to enjoy every single second... total win-win for me 🤣
@fluminense: he needs 38 more just to catch up with Kevin Durant if I remember right... 🤷
slowly but surely, once the Orlando Magic stop missing everything they'll actually start playing some defense🙂 or at least that's what I'm telling myself...☕
looks like Durantula is out
edit: wait, scratch that, the Lakers have some options
Not sure about Carmelo today, if they absolutely wreck Cleveland in the first half... 🤷
Rough, really rough... hoping Nash Under just breaks even at least ☕
Going under 12.5 today... honestly don't see anyone else worth betting on besides Paul. He’s just way more explosive right now, and that's not even counting the injury ☕
Jeremy Bishop35 said:It'll happen, it'll happen... just waiting on one more bucket from LeBron to lock in this parlay... then we're golden... 😁
Yeah, pretty good... how they kicked off that third one though... thought for sure the over was a lock... 😁 LeBron finally hits that overtime shot... so that's 3 for 3 for tonight! Boom! 😍 Night night... good luck to everyone still waiting out there! 🙂
Bobcats and Bulls probably won't hit under 182🙄 but Melo's looking good for the over so I'm just breaking even☕
