School taught you how to handle this, right? Like, if a doctor acts awkward or makes things uncomfortable, you shouldn't just snap back with the same attitude to prove a point.
Honestly, he’s the one who should be worried about the embarrassment. He’ll be the one feeling the sting because those nurses will probably spend years laughing about it and bringing it up during their shifts.

Over the last five years, I’ve gone under general anesthesia three separate times, and honestly, every single experience felt different from the last.
So, here is what I wanted to ask the doctor.
Is there any chance that having this many anesthesias in such a short window could actually impact someone's cognitive abilities or intellect?

The last time we were expecting a delivery, someone from the USPS actually showed up at our door—well, through the intercom, really—to ask if the package had arrived and if the mail carrier had been polite enough.
I glanced out the window and, sure enough, there was a postal truck idling right out front. I guess they must be dealing with a massive wave of complaints lately if they’ve started running these little internal investigations.
