Running won't change the outcome.
It’s a pattern we’ve seen before, and it’s exactly what we saw today at the Grand Prix USA.

Lap 9 of 70, and they're actually suggesting fuel saving? 😁Really?

are these? Honestly, how did they miss the gap Lewis was creating? They should have pitted him immediately to minimize the damage instead of doing this. 🤣

What's next? Are you going to tell us Lewis Hamilton is actually going to win?

Man, did you see that burst of acceleration once he opened the DRS?

In just a few minutes, we'll be watching the "šamaranje kvaza prvak."

Leading the headlines—Sebastian Vettel. ☕

Looks like Red Bull Racing is reverting to last year's setup.

You could have included me in those odds.
Yawn. ☕

This race is even more boring than usual, BTW.

At the end of the start-finish straight, the RPMs hit the redline. Then again at the end of the straight before the turn. And finally, on the stretch after the turn, well before the last chicane, they’re hitting the limiter.

Now take a look at those speed trap numbers.

If Sebastian Vettel doesn't pull a few seconds ahead in the first two laps, he'll be trailing by about 12 miles/h at the speed trap. That's a brutal deficit to defend.
And if he gets stuck in traffic—stuck behind Lewis Hamilton or Fernando Alonso—then breaking through will be nearly impossible.

The reality? Sebastian Vettel using DRS on the speed trap is just as fast as Fernando Alonso without it.

Jason Campbell70, how on earth are you so sharp? 😎

So, they weren't being careful.

At the finish line, the RPMs are hitting the redline. On the straight before the Bellagio, they’re also hitting the redline. And then, on the stretch after the Bellagio—well before that final chicane—they’re bouncing right off the limiter.

Now, take a look at those speed trap numbers.

If Sebastian Vettel doesn't pull a few seconds clear within the first two laps, he'll be down by roughly 12 miles mph at the speed trap. How do you defend against that? It's nearly impossible.
And if he gets stuck in traffic—stuck behind Lewis Hamilton or Fernando Alonso—breaking through will be an uphill battle.

Generally speaking, if things get aggressive out there, expect some heavy lock-ups before the Bellagio. We saw yesterday how a single bad lock-up can absolutely wreck a set of tires.

Either way, we're in for an interesting race.

Way to go, Kevin.

Let's just call it an F-18 and move on. No point in splitting hairs.

In that third sector, Takaj covers more than half of the gap to Mark Webber.
My only takeaway? The car just handles the corners better.🤷

Just watch Vettel's on board from qualifying and it'll all make sense.
Hugo is at the controls. ☕
