Even though I previously wrote that "Lewis Hamilton takes the win and the title, while Mark Webber fails to finish," following that whole mess where my post ended up in the wrong thread, it seems to have vanished somehow.
Massa looks incredibly fast on this track. I’m expecting him to be convincingly the quickest out there, though I wouldn't be surprised if he gets held back by team orders. 🙂
I’ve only ever dealt with one insurance claim, and that was through State Farm.
Whenever I told people my car had been hit by someone insured with State Farm, the typical response was, "You'll never see a dime," or something along those lines.
Here’s how it went down:
My car was damaged in an accident—it was just sitting there in a parking lot. The police showed up to investigate, and in the official report (which I checked later), they clearly stated the driver, X. Y., was at fault (and they were insured through State Farm).
I wasn't even home at the time, so I had no idea what kind of shape my car was in. 😁
After I finally got back home about ten days after the accident, I headed down to the police station to pick up the incident report. Of course, our local police department isn't exactly known for its speed; it took them about twenty days to get everything processed.
Once I finally had that report in hand, I went to State Farm to get the damage assessed. 😬
There, I filled out some paperwork, the adjuster took photos of the vehicle, and mentioned the assessment should be ready within two weeks at most. At that point, I could decide whether to have them fix the car and bill them directly, or just take a cash settlement. Honestly, I have to hand it to the adjuster—very helpful, polite, and professional. 🙂
About ten days later, the assessment arrived in my mailbox (two copies of the agreement).
I signed the contract (since I was happy with the amount offered😁) and dropped it off at the State Farm office. They told me the funds would be in my account within a week.
And so it was! 🙏
I don't know how other insurance companies handle things, but as far as State Farm goes, you really couldn't ask for a faster or simpler process. 🙂

Warn who? And about what? 😉

I gave a fair warning in my last post for everyone to settle down and act like adults.
Then you immediately jump right in trying to play the comedian and troll. You walked straight into the slaughterhouse like a lamb. ☕
And this idea that you’re only doing it because you have too few points? Honestly, I can't help but laugh. 😂😂😂😂
eBay 😍
I'm asking the admins to strip the card assigned by this clown above.
Trolling. 🤦
The kind only you seem to notice, just like last time.

mistybear87, again. The same old modus operandi. Just more tired excuses just so they can hand me a ban.
Trolling? 🙄
To make things even more interesting, just like a month ago, mistybear87 invented a reason to ban me right when my previous ban expired—presumably to keep my reputation score from dropping too low. 😍
The admins can easily verify this "coincidence."
Today, it’s the same story.
My ban ended yesterday, yet mistybear87 was already rushing to issue a new one based on a completely baseless excuse.
If I hit a nerve, fine. Honestly, I don't care.
I'll take any penalty if I'm actually in the wrong.
But this? This is getting pathetic. 🤮
I'm demanding that this latest ban be overturned!
PS — I'm expecting a nonsensical response from mistybear87 (since the ban is unjustifiable), followed by a few lame jokes, then an "eBay ☕" before they tuck their tail and exit the thread because they can't actually defend their stance or the penalty.
🤮
mistybear87 said:Wasn't there some crash about a year ago? I think either McLaren or Minardi was caught up in it. 🙏
Well, then mister six tenths lost the rear end of his car while coming out onto the straight during the warm-up lap in California 2005 or 2006. A pretty embarrassing moment in front of his home crowd, wouldn't you say?
mistybear87 said:Felipe recorded his first DNF of the season. Up until this point, he'd made it to the finish line every single time—scoring points 12 times, though he went scoreless in three races from the USA to UK.
🙏
That stat caught me off guard.
Felipe isn't exactly the star of the show, but he does finish his races.
I’m not exactly wishing for rain here. It might just mess up our plans. 😳

Prophetic!
The guy in the yellow helmet at McLaren ends up crashing into his teammate over at Ferrari. 🙏
Could that previous photo also suggest two McLarens causing total chaos on the track? 🙏
Too bad Friday is a holiday here; I won't be able to catch the free practice sessions. 😳😁
Michael Lee4 said:Look, Elvis Presley is about to give you the rundown... at first glance, he seems like a pretty smart guy. 🙂
And he's rooting for the Los Angeles Lakers and Fernando Alonso. 🙂 🤔
Expecting this thread to be officially opened
powered by... well... Elvis Presley. 🙏
stormybadger8 said:So, when are you actually going to start that new thread?😬
Come on, just open it already, please. 🙂
If you’re too lazy, Stinger can take over. He’s not half bad himself.😬
I was actually just about to say that it's high time Michael Lee4 started a thread for Indianapolis Motor Speedway. 😁🙏
wearygull20 said:I don't know, there have been plenty of arguments thrown around regarding this situation, and I’ve gone back and watched it several times now.
Mark Webber maintains a pretty consistent line the whole time—he’s on the flat part, enters the corner on the inside, and looking at his trajectory through the turn, he could have easily cleared it with enough room for two cars to pass him on the right side.
Lewis Hamilton, on the other hand, is about half a car ahead on the straight, enters the corner on the outside, and then decides to close the door on Webber. That’s actually my biggest question... why didn't he just take the corner normally? He had the space, and he definitely would have stayed ahead.🤷
Since Webber was driving like nothing was happening, sticking to his inside line, while Lewis went out of his way to close him out, I’d say Lewis is more "responsible" for this collision. Not even close to being the one at fault...
And honestly, Webber seems less responsible here than he was in that collision with Sebastian Vettel. In this case, he sticks to his line and leaves a massive amount of room for Hamilton, he simply refuses to yield because he's fighting for the title! In the incident with Sebastian Vettel, he doesn't leave any room, pushes Sebastian Vettel aside, and then when he thinks Webber is going to move, he swerves hard into him.
Ultimately, this is just a racing incident between two stubborn drivers who refused to budge from their intentions—Webber refusing to give up an inch, and Lewis trying to slam the door before he’d even fully overtaken Webber with his entire car.
Though, of course, the Australian was lucky to walk away from that hit unscathed!
He took the ideal racing line.
Unlike Webber, who went off the curb in an attempt to dive back in front after already losing the position.
stormybadger8 said:Obviously it's a racing incident. My take? Here it is:
Webber's at fault because he's stubborn and won't back down to prove a point.
Hamilton's at fault because he isn't watching where he's going or what he—or the guys around him—are actually doing.
In my book, Webber isn't any more to blame than Hamilton, no matter how much I'd love to see him get slapped with a penalty. Personally, I don't like the guy and I'm definitely not a fan, but in this specific situation, he's clearly less at fault.🤷
Honestly, wouldn't it have been fairer if they both just pulled out? Given the damage from that collision, maybe they should have just retired.
There’s really no point in us arguing over who’s at fault here or who might have gained an unfair advantage. Is Lewis Hamilton guilty? I doubt it. 😁And maybe they both could actually learn a thing or two for next time.
Honestly? They wouldn't learn a damn thing. 😁
Mark Ruiz8 said:If you ask me, it was just a racing incident—maybe.
If I had to point a finger at someone—maybe—it would be Mark Webber.
You should have stopped after that first sentence.
A racing incident? Both were at fault.
Webber was driving like a bull, forcing the issue, while Lewis could have easily given him more room.
It was just two stubborn drivers meeting on a narrow bridge.
ruggedfox28 said:..but isn't that exactly what makes racing great? Isn't that the true spirit of Formula 1, back before the money, the marketing, and the big teams started dictating how drivers should drive—let alone how they should behave on track?
I actually prefer Lewis Hamilton because he’s got that relentless drive to be the best. He goes after it without making any compromises, even if he ends up looking like an idiot most of the time... he doesn't give a damn about team orders or corporate priorities... it's just pure racing, and whoever has more talent, luck, or sheer balls ends up on top...
People around here on the forums always say, "without Hemić and all his crazy stunts, racing would be as boring as watching paint dry"... 😉
..yeah, people call him impulsive, reckless, whatever... but that's exactly why I like him. He doesn't bow down to authority (like the Alonso-McLaren situation) and he'll fight for himself any way he can...
..but he didn't say after Monza that he should just play nice during the final races to grab whatever points are left. His heart couldn't take it when he saw a chance to muscle past a powerhouse like Mark Webber at the Singapore GP..that's my point right there—he drives with his heart, not with a paycheck or a team manager breathing down his neck... 😉
..I wouldn't be surprised if we see him putting on a massive show for the rest of the season. Since he's basically tanked his championship chances anyway, he might just start driving super risky (which would be fun to watch) since he's got nothing left to lose...
So, Lewis Hamilton is basically just a clown here for our entertainment. Honestly, it’s the truth. There's no other way to put it.

That's a wonderful example you've picked. 😁
Hamilton is just a faster, more sensitive version of Juan Pablo Montoya. 😁
I'm just a much more broken, unscrupulous, and dishonest version of Juan Pablo Montoya.
P.S. — banned the clone, and added an extension to the original handle. ☕
Golden Boy:

What a joke of a driver.
Moving at a snail's pace? Simply incapable of clinching a title.
Read up—he's clueless. 😁
We could probably pay Ferrari's mechanics a lifetime bonus for what happened in Singapore '08.
It’s a total tragicomedy when a driver can owe his one career title to the opponent's pit crew, pure luck, and Nelson Piquet.
Otherwise, he would have lost that too.
stormybadger8 said:😕 then how on earth can you even watch Formula 1 or Fernando Alonso on screen?🤣
If someone here is acting like a saint just because they climbed into a car at the start and then defended him with such insane logic that it makes your head spin, that's Alonso. We aren't much further off from Lewis Hamilton anyway.😬
No need to even mention dedin.🤣
And out of everyone, Vettel is the one who disgusts you because of the excuses?🙄
Look, Keith Rodriguez27, stop talking nonsense.
I seriously don't get this "I'm gonna kill him" comment of yours.🤷
The only explanation is that you only read my posts and have everyone else from this thread on Ignore.🤣
It's true, I can be a jerk sometimes and say some pretty nasty stuff, but I'm definitely not the only one, and I'm certainly not the worst.
So, who are you even rooting for?😕
Even if I can't wrap my head around that little Spanish guy with his perfectly groomed eyebrows, you have to admit: he’s currently the best driver on the grid.
redheron12 said:There are maybe twenty Formula 1 World Champions in total, yet you managed to insult a quarter of them in a single sentence—which, frankly, caught me off guard.
But it's specifically these personality flaws you listed...
Give Button some speed and guts, and he'd be just as erratic as Lewis Hamilton.
Give Webber some common sense, and he'd be as boring as Button.
If Alonso showed a bit more respect, he'd just be another reckless guy like Webber.
If Hamilton calmed down, he'd be as cutthroat as Schumacher.
If Schumacher had a sense of fair play, he wouldn't be so obsessed with the job and would be as detached as Kimi Raikkonen.
If Kimi Raikkonen had any work ethic, he'd be as arrogant as Alonso.
So, no matter how you slice it, nothing works out. 👍
James Bond, but make it Spanish. 😍😁
Quote: Rain said:If Lewis Hamilton would just chill out, he'd be as crooked as Michael Schumacher
And what, is he suddenly the poster child for honesty now? 🙂

And who isn't? ☕
stormyviper11 said:Fernando Alonso is absolutely on fire right now. He’s finally got his team dialed in and his head straight, and honestly, anything short of him taking the title would be a massive shock. No matter how much people try to twist the math, he’s been the most consistent driver out there over the last five or six seasons. It's just crazy how a mix of weird luck and that classic "Schumacher-style" attitude toward team management caused him to blow his chance at chasing down those legendary records... First, he ran into a wall with McLaren where it was impossible to win, then he shook up the paddock's trust so much that he ended up stuck in a mid-field team for two years. But now that they've moved past the tuning phase? Man, it's not even a stretch to think we could see a streak of titles and pure dominance until the next big rule change hits.
I wouldn't feel too bad if Mark Webber snatched the title, though. It would basically just be the next logical step in this downward spiral of world champion quality: Michael Schumacher - Fernando Alonso - Kimi Raikkonen - Lewis Hamilton - Jenson Button - Mark Webber. They should all just get together and head off to see the Wizard of Oz.
Michael Schumacher could ask for some basic decency and actual fair play.
Fernando Alonso could ask for some respect for his own crew and the rest of the world, for crying out loud.
Kimi Raikkonen could ask for some work ethic and a reason to actually care.
Lewis Hamilton could ask for some air conditioning to cool his head down.
Jenson Button could ask for a heart and maybe a little bit of pace.
Mark Webber could ask for a DNA transplant to move some grit from his ego into the rest of his body.
Vettel isn't quite there yet, and Lewis Hamilton is still maturing, even if Lewis managed to stumble into that one title. I still think age and experience are going to carry the day here. I expect both of them to crack under pressure eventually, and I'm just waiting for Webber to finally screw up because of some stupid mess he started or got caught up in. So, it really comes down to Alonso and Button—the only two guys I actually trust to do their jobs professionally without making massive mistakes. And let's be real, Alonso is faster, has the better car, and more points...
That’s exactly what I wrote just the other day. 😁
I'm pulling for Mark Webber, so I guess next year I'll just be sitting here complaining about how yet another mediocre driver managed to snatch the championship. 😁
