Anything is possible, really. It all just comes down to having the right minds on the pit wall. 😉

It’ll end up looking like we’re the smartest ones in the entire pit lane.

But we all know that isn't the case, right? 😁

It was a stroke of luck, though I have my doubts that Ferrari did this on purpose.

Those Italians, man. Give me a break. 😁

I've gotta see this happen 😂

Jason Campbell70 and Helio dos Santos Montebery are pulling for the same team and the same driver 🙏

Tomorrow’s gonna be a bloodbath 🤣

Please don't group me in with whatever little idol of teenage girls (Fernando Alonso, not Helio dos Santos Montebery 😁) you're talking about. ☕

Since 1996, Jason Campbell70 has been a Ferrari fan. ☕

But not an Alonso fan. 🤮

Goodnight. ☕

slybison8 said:I believe there was a slight inaccuracy in what was reported on CNN regarding that sequence. It was actually confirmed that Red Bull was the first to call Sebastian Vettel into the pits, while the Ferrari employees reacted with incredible speed to notify Alonso—who was ahead of Vettel at the time—to head into the box as well. If you look at the different camera angles from the pit lane, you can see that the Red Bull mechanics had already positioned themselves, only for the Ferrari crew to spring into action almost instantly, maybe five seconds later, as if they had been jolted awake. I suppose one could say that the Ferrari team executed a masterstroke in the pits, effectively preventing Red Bull from seizing the lead. According to some of the Ferrari employees, this was a specific scenario they had been practicing several times throughout the season, though they hadn't quite managed to pull it off during a race until today.

God, how did we get this stupid? 😁🙏

Incompetent Italians copying an even more incompetent Red Bull. 🙏

Kamui Kobayashi drove like Takuma Sato during his prime today. 😁

At Monza, Lewis Hamilton was actually trying to make the move. Here, Mark Webber was busy blocking him—playing the rear guard, you know?

If Lewis Hamilton made any mistake, it was probably not leaving an extra half-meter of breathing room. He could have likely squeezed through if he'd given it a bit more space on the right.
In that moment, Mark Webber was sitting right in his blind spot. Lewis Hamilton simply didn't see him and thought the overtake was already done. Then, boom—he gets torpedoed.

Of course, you can expect the little piglet to argue that he didn't brake hard enough.
Honestly, the look on Mark Webber's face in that room where the three of them were sitting before the podium tells the whole story. You can practically feel the frustration radiating off him. Sebastian Vettel is ahead of him (again), having caused a mess—which, let's be honest, probably doesn't bother him much.
Meanwhile, Vettel looks like a happy kid, and Fernando Alonso is just doing his own thing again...

I already wrote a post that mysteriously vanished....😁

Aside from the fact that Webber was a bit too aggressive when "closing the door"—even if, in my opinion, he had no right to do so—what about those two backmarkers (like an HRT or Virđin type car) that ended up stuck between Webber and Vettel?

They're the ones who really stirred the pot. 😳

mistybear87 said:Actually, Vettel did it at Silverstone 2009. ☕

And wouldn't you know it, Alonso managed to pull that off twice after your mentioned one, specifically at Monaco and Monza 2007, plus once earlier at Silverstone 2006. So, that would make this his fifth career hat-trick today, wouldn't it? 🙏

Then there's also Button in Malaysia 2009, Hamilton in Japan 2007 and China 2008, along with Massa in Bahrain/Spain 2007 and Valencia/Brazil 2008.

That brings us to a total of 13 hat-tricks since that last one from Schumacher. 😉

And honestly? I'll believe just about anything these days.

Recently, Blažičko completely botched a statement regarding Michael Schumacher and his final hat-trick, which got me thinking—maybe someone actually whispered the right stat to him. 😳

Oh, please. That first place was already in the bag for Lewis Hamilton.

He had total control over the entire race, and it was obvious—he could have easily let Sebastian Vettel close the gap just to pull away again and rebuild that lead.

If I recall correctly, the last time we saw a driver pull off a true "hat-trick"—taking pole, the fastest lap, and the win—was Michael Schumacher back at the 2006 French Grand Prix, right before the Monza race.

There’s no denying it: Ferrari is on a massive upward trajectory.
They didn't just win at Monza, one of the fastest tracks on the calendar with its low downforce setup; they also managed to conquer the street circuit in Singapore.

As for McLaren? It’s looking like a total repeat of the 2007 season. 🙂

They’re sidelining the defending champion and handing the top driver seat to Luis Retardos, who seems determined to mess up every single opportunity he gets. 🤣🤣🤣🙏

Just like I predicted a long time ago: Fernando Alonso takes the title. 😁

Jason Campbell70 said:It’s well known that Ferrari tends to find their stride as the season progresses. They just keep building that momentum and picking up speed, don't they?

With 275 points on the line and 11 races left, Fernando Alonso being down by 15? That seems like a negligible gap. And honestly, it is.

I wouldn't write him off quite that easily. 😉

It works for me. 🙏🙏

Shout out to that Ferrari's mechanic who couldn't help but shake hands when those two beasts collided. 🙏

It’s almost like they were filming me. 🙏

The race has been intense so far. Honestly, it’s a relief they let people with such questionable mental stability get behind the wheel. Anyway, here we are, with Luis keeping things interesting for the third race in a row.

Michael Lee4 said:Interesting... It’s been ages since we’ve seen a championship this tight with so many drivers actually fighting for the title... Even the track itself is engaging enough to pull in extra TV viewers, rain or shine... and then we get this little bit of drama on the thread 🤔

True, several drivers are in the hunt for the title—a situation we haven't seen in years (practically ever).

But let's be honest: they're all pretty bland. These are drivers without any distinct, globally recognized personality. Their main defining trait seems to be complaining about their rivals after the race.

Compare this season to the 2003 season.

Back then, we had one driver who was ice-cold, one who was pure fire, and one legendary veteran champion that the first two were trying to dethrone.

Wouldn't I rather watch two complete opposites than ten generic, characterless drivers battling for a trophy?🙂

The ultimate irony? Among all these title contenders, the one with the most recognizable identity is actually Jenson Button—someone we've spent years labeling as boring, overly cautious, and unexciting.

Michael Lee4 said:I’m honestly surprised the rain haters haven't piped up yet to claim this track is actually interesting without the 🍿

The last time I actually prayed for rain was back in '99. 😁

I was just catching up with a colleague. It got me thinking... when was the last time I actually sat through a race that was washed out from start to finish? A race where we started in the rain and just stayed in it for the entire duration?

Monza - Vettel - Red Bull Racing - 2008?

Between the rain, the floodlights, the barriers—and that inevitable Safety Car—is anyone actually going to win this without a massive stroke of luck?
Well, if those rain forecasts actually hold up, I'm putting my money on Lewis Hamilton.
That guy's got luck on his side, even if he's clearly lacking in the brains department. 😁
Pros and Cons of Sebastian Vettel in Formula 1 ·
To put it simply regarding Sebastian Vettel—he isn't any less foolish or less incompetent than Lewis Hamilton.

I’d go as far as saying Vettel actually edges him out in both categories.
