but something incredible happened to me yesterday😲

I have these Alonso posters in my room. On one, I've got Alonso and Fisico in the Renault, and on another, the Williams setup

and it's wild—when I walked into the room, the poster had peeled off. Only one corner was still held by tape, and it had flipped over to face the Williams side

What insane symbolism: eek:😲😲😲😲😲😲😲

Symbolism? More like an omen.

The epicenter of the earthquake was near Small Town, USA, the Spider, USA, and Small Town, USA.

They even misspelled it. 🤦

Here’s what a truly respectable gentleman and seasoned F1 expert had to say regarding the prospects for Alonso and the rest of the field. He laid it all out with some very rational reasoning... ☕

Edward Howard2 says:

This was posted two months ago, back on September 10th at 11:32 AM. That was right as the first practice session in Monza wrapped up. Alonso finished in eighth, sitting behind all those competitors ahead of him.

At that point, Alonso was sitting in fifth place. He was trailing Lewis Hamilton by a massive 41 points—a gap of 182 to 141. Hard to imagine, isn't it?

And then, following that post of mine... what happened next?
Alonso pulls off three wins and a podium. What a run.
Hamilton, sitting in the lead, just threw away exactly 50 points over the last two races. He got far too aggressive fighting with Massa and Webber in Italy and Singapore. It’s the same old story: the moment he finds himself leading the championship, he loses his cool and cracks under the pressure.
Red Bull still hasn't promoted Webber to the lead driver role. If they had? He’d be sitting on a massive advantage by now. Wouldn't he?
Vettel just keeps proving it. Can he actually take a top-tier car and turn it into a championship? It doesn't look like it.
Button was sitting right there in the mix with Hamilton just before that last race, trailing by only three points. Now? Suddenly, after two races—that one in Korea and qualifying in Brazil—he’s struggling miserably while his teammate is absolutely flying. It’s obvious. He got too close to Hamilton’s shadow, and McLaren definitely pulled the red alert. I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't even running the same spec anymore. Shouldn't he have called for some independent officials to check the garage, similar to what Alonso did back in 2007? Just to make sure nobody is messing with his setup? McLaren has a history of these shady moves. Then again, Button isn't exactly a technical wizard like Alonso, so maybe he just doesn't know what to look for.

I think I posted something earlier about how Alonso was already a serious contender for the title back then. It was during one of those races, but honestly? I can't be bothered to go hunting for it now.
Most of the Red Bull and McLaren fans were busy mocking these kinds of rational takes. But honestly? It just highlights how shallow their knowledge actually is. They're clearly overestimating what their favorite teams can actually pull off. 🤣

Wow. Two months ago. 🙏

Jason Campbell70 said:It’s become a bit of a trademark for Ferrari, hasn't it? They always seem to find that extra gear and pick up the pace just as the season starts hitting its stride.

With 275 points on the board and 11 races left to go, being 15 points behind Alonso seems like nothing. And honestly? It is.

I wouldn't write him off quite that easily.

If you consider yourself such a gifted forecaster, then what does that make me? 🙏

Our driver is a total legend. He just veered his car off course and started plowing through the pack, hitting and shoving everyone in line one by one.

Clearly, Webber was behind the wheel. 😵

But look, during that recent forum cleanup, some posts were moved to the off-topic section along with their parent threads.

For instance, if a massive thread where you've contributed 1,500 posts gets moved to off-topic.
It follows logically—your total post count drops by those 1,500 posts.

EDIT — holy crap, I just realized I'm missing 5,000 posts myself! 😱 😲 😲 😲

I hate misstating things. 😠

EDIT - obviously it is.

Doesn't matter... I still view Hamilton as the biggest obstacle.
Coming from Ferrari's number one spot, naturally.
Brazil vs. USA - Nov 7, 2010 in Formula 1 ·
Nico Hulkenberg making that move forward makes sense. Looking at the top five, the order feels right given how this season has been playing out.

Two Red Bull Racing cars, then Lewis Hamilton, followed by Fernando Alonso—all within half a second. Pretty much what we expected.

Now for the million-dollar question: who actually showed the most pace during the First Round, considering the track conditions we’re likely to see during tomorrow's race?

I'm taking tomorrow off to enjoy myself! 🙏
Brazil vs. USA - Nov 7, 2010 in Formula 1 ·
Hulkenberg clearly prioritized his race setup. 😉

Luck was on his side, though—the rain held off just long enough through the end of qualifying.

Once they get a few dry laps in tomorrow, he’ll likely settle into P6 or P7 anyway.

It isn't a bug. 🙂

Her posts weren't deleted. They're just in the off-topic section, so they don't count toward the total.

Today?

At least Red Bull is looking brilliant in qualifying. 😁

stormybadger8 said:I'm just not sure which new driver you're referring to—are we talking about Webber or Vettel? 🤷

Fernando Diaz. ☕

Like I said before, a part of me is rooting for Webber to take the title. Is there any other outcome I'd rather see?
So, we could be looking at another season where some veteran driver walks away with the championship. Again. 😁

The 2010 World Champion. 👍

Jonathan Adams85 said:I'm expecting a repeat of Korea, in every sense of the word.☕

Part of me secretly hopes we see a repeat of 2007. 😁

Webber hits the wrong button or falls asleep at the start—given his recent luck—and Ferrari just cruises to a 1-2 finish.

Every forecast looks the same. Rain seems pretty much guaranteed for Saturday, while Sunday should stay dry.

The Best NFL player said:What Ferrari did to Mass was an absolute disgrace. They should have been banned from the league along with Alonso for several years. Honestly, any team pulling stunts like that deserves the same treatment.☕

Just thinking out loud here... over the last five seasons, championships have basically been decided by team orders.

Fisichella has played puppet master for Alonso, Mass Kimi, Kovalainen Hamilton, and even Baričelo Button last year.

Look back fifteen seasons? You'll find the exact same pattern. 😉

If Red Bull is operating with the same mindset you are, they might as well pack it up now. They’ll never secure a driver's title that way. 🤦

Then there's the issue of Red Bull being incapable of actually executing their own team orders, which is why we see all this mess—and the fans joining in on the whining.

McLaren didn't complain about the flexibility of those RedBullov or Ferrarijev wings because they're playing fair; they complained because they couldn't engineer a wing that flexible themselves.😉

And I don't doubt for a second that Ferrari will follow their team orders during this race. They'll use them to clinch the championship, and there is zero chance anyone gets penalized for it.. 😉

stormybadger8 said:He’s driving the fastest car on the grid. It’s obvious his team handed him a better package than Vettel. Just look at the reliability issues between Webber’s car and Vettel’s, and you have your answer.
If things were flipped? Webber would be whining to the press day and night about how he's being sabotaged by the team.🙄

I won't even get into those "joking" t-shirts or comments like "not bad for a number two driver."

If anyone is actually disrupting the peace at Red Bull, it’s definitely Webber.

I expect the same thing after Brazil, too—in true Alonso fashion.
When the cars start sliding downhill, everything gets blamed on the crew. 🙄
Brazil vs. USA - Nov 7, 2010 in Formula 1 ·
Michael Lee4 said:Is there anything more ridiculous than these fan groups? 😁

If the world actually worked with any sense of justice, Webber would be taking home the title right now.

That’s exactly the kind of flawed logic Webber is stuck playing into.

If he clinches the championship, he’s the hero who fought both his rivals and his own team—a team that, let's be honest, is the only reason he's even in the hunt.

If he doesn't? Then it’s just because of a "corrupt" Red Bull favoring Vettel.
And once again, he’s the hero. 😁

It's nothing but a desperate search for an excuse. At the end of the day, if he loses the title, the responsibility lies solely with him.

Recipes (Keep comments in a separate thread!) in Hobbies & Leisure ·
The only recipe for vegan cheese you’ll ever need. I absolutely loved it.

I picked up some L'Oréal dairy-free cheese at Walmart (currently $4.99 for 16 oz) and a container of Yogurt stracciatella ($1.99).

For a standard serving, just mix 8 oz of that vegan cheese with a few large spoonfuls of the stracciatella yogurt.

The result? A truly sophisticated flavor profile. 🙏

Since this was my first time trying it yesterday, I was hooked. I actually headed back to Walmart today for more cheese and another tub of yogurt.
